Twice over the past two weeks, the postman (who I assume is an alternate) has filled my mailbox with packages and taken the remainders back to this location instead of the apartment clubhouse, where they go 9.9 times out of 10. Now, I have to schedule redelivery, and my last two packages are now apparently lost. No attempt at redelivery and no explanation from ANGIE at this location as to where they might be. She at first tried to throw the apartment under the bus, saying that they were delivered there, but she was shut down when she realized that the tracking hadnt been updated for three days when they werent redelivered. She was rude from this point onward, apparently not satisfied that she was wrong. So she assured me that the morning supervisor, who I imagine must be her superior, because she had no information whatsoever, would call me before 4 p.m. today "whether or not" he had answers about my packages. As I write this, its past 4:30 and ANGIEs superior has gone home for the day, apparently none the wise than ANGIE. I asked her three times how long the process of discovering a package might take, but in true governmental legalese, she indicated that she could give me no answers without passing the case on to someone one. Typical. I asked her to sympathize with the bad reviews this place has accrued, as well as with my past experience of not even getting someone to answer the phone there, but it the silence from that office seems to suggest that I was right in calling this the worst waste of taxpayer money Ive ever seen. If you want your mail delivered, youre better off with FedEx or UPS. Dont forgive this location because they service "all of Aurora." There are other branches. Its just unfortunate that this is the brain center of the crippled organization that is Auroras USPS. FOLLOW-UP: Its now been an entire week since the post office supposedly launched its investigation into my missing parcels. Meanwhile, no one from the post office has contacted me requesting more information, to let me know the progress of the investigation, or even to follow up with me about my experience. Disgraceful.

I just came back from the post office, I called in to inquire about Passport service and the woman on the phone was very polite and helpful when it come to ensuring that I had all my documentation in order. Let me know of different payment options and options available once there. Walked in and was greeted with a nice hello and walked me right thru the process. I went over the post office side since i needed to pay via money order and the post office workers were quick and friendly. I returned to the Passport section, paid for my passport and signed the required documents and was sent on my way. The entire process took no more then 10 minutes. Now i will say that you as the customer needs to have all your documents in order prior to arriving. Simply reading the instructions which the passport documents provide is all you need for a successful and smooth transition. I came in a little apprehensive because of all the negative feed back i read about different post offices and some on this one, but I did not see or experience any negative personalities or issues during my visit. Once again, thank you for such a smooth and simple process by the Passport office workers and the Post office workers.

I bought a package online from a seller who provided a tracking number with delivery confirmation. on 2/1/12 my package was marked delivered at 7:47 AM. The mail carrier NEVER is in our subdivision before noon. And I saw him deliver a small package to my neighbor that day (the box I was expecting was fairly large) After repeated calls to speak to the "supervisor" and getting no where I went in to speak to them in person. The supervisor informed me that my mail had probably been stolen from my door. I told him I was home all day and indeed the mail wasnt stolen because the mail carrier never delivered it to my door. I then asked why the mail carrier scanned it delivered before he even left the post office....he told me they do that "to save time". I told him I found that extremely unacceptable and filed a complaint with the USPS Office of Inspector General. It really is no wonder why the USPS is failing.

Have delivery issues. Grandma sends two Valentine cards for my kids with money undoubtedly like she always does. One arrives, one doesnt. Shes going nuts. I call Aurora post office. You cannot speak to a person when you call Aurora Post office. They give you another number. I was on hold for 45 minutes. Then I get a lady who I can barely understand from the Middle East accent and she says nothing but wait another week. Wow. Government workers. Oh yeah. I get my neighbors mail so often and they get ours, we just checked one anothers mail. Its unreal. I know its hard, and Id definitely lose my job if I were a postal worker but they have to be more careful. Some things are private.

Terrible. This is the worst and slowest location I have been to. It is the same clerks every day and they take their sweet time. Dont come here if you are in a hurry! Let me also mention their attitudes need some adjusting for the better. They have this sign up saying the mail should be in the PO box by 10am. They really should take it down because you are lucky if it is in there by 1 pm. And to top everything off, unless you are able to use the handicap parking spot, be prepared to walk. The employees take all the front parking. That should be against the rules and I am planning on sending a complaint to the postmaster about it. Shouldnt these spots be for the customers?!

2 times in the past month I received notices in my mail box, which is in an enclosed building that they attempted to deliver a package and I wasnt home. This is BS as Im home all day long. Both times the weather was pretty bad, so the lazy mail carrier didnt bother to walk up to the door, just stuffed a delivery attempt notice in the mailbox and sent my package back to the post office. Both times I have had to drive to the post office in snow or rain in order to stand in line to pick up a package that should have been delivered to my door, yet had a carrier that was too lazy to get out of the truck to walk 20 feet to the door. Honestly pathetic.

I come here 4 times per week. The counter folk are very friendly and helpful. I just noticed some poor reviews on here. Everyone should keep in mind that this is a major post office, covering a fairly large city (Aurora is the 2nd largest in Illinois). There are certain times of the day that are busy, but the same thing happens at any bank (i.e. payday line). Ignore the bad reviews, -disgruntled customers will post bad reviews at the drop of a hat. For every impatient, "Im on my lunch break, why cant you people move faster, now Im angry" review, -there are a hundred smooth transactions where no one bothered to write a glowing review.

In December 2009 five payments I mailed out never got to the destinations that I "paid" for them to be delivered to . . .and they were not returned. Today(5/7/10) I found that a payment I mailed in March never got to its destination . . .so I tried calling the Aurora Main Post Office . . .someone answered, listened and wanted to switch me to a supervisor . . . 10 minutes later I hung up . . .never got connected. The Post Office certainly no longer provides the service we were once accustomed to . . .I rarely leave mail to be picked up at my box, and now, where possible, I will drop off my payment or pay on line!!
