Inconsistent cleaning/Terrible customer service/Disrespectful I have used the cleaning authority for over a year and have found the quality of their cleaning to be sporadic. Additionally, they repeatedly send new people to clean our home with one consistent person. I wanted to write this review due to the terrible experience I had with the cleaning authority which required me to cancel my service. Our home was cleaned on 7/31/2014 and when I returned home it was obvious it was not "professionally" cleaned. There were yogurt spills left on the table from breakfast, finger prints on the glass doors, the floors were dirty, the bathroom still had a large liquid soap spill around the tub, and several other issues. I called their automated line to report my dissatisfaction with the clean. A manager called back and sent the team back to my home. When they arrived they needed me to point out everything that was not cleaned. For a professional service charging over $100 per clean, I would expect they would have a consistent process for cleaning and would be able to assess the home to determine what was not cleaned satisfactory. I had to show the inspector and the cleaner over a cup full of bath soap that was spilled all over the tile around the bath tub. The cleaner stated, as she was standing right next to me, “that was not there before"! I was shocked by this unprofessional response and stated to them "are you implying I am lying"? They did not say anything and the cleaner rubbed the sticky soap with a dry cloth. I asked her to clean the tub with some cleaner and she looked at me and rubbed the cloth under tap water instead of cleaning the tub with cleaner to remove the residue of the soap. Additionally the rest of the team was downstairs laughing so loudly it sounded like a party instead of trying to fix the cleaning in my home. I called the automated line again and stated my concerns and that I was on the verge of leaving the service and wanted to speak with the owner. I never heard from anyone Thursday. Friday morning the inspector whom was in my home called me and seemed confused why I called the automated line. I asked her if she observed anything that she thought was unacceptable and she said she spoke with the cleaner and the other people were laughing because someone almost fell. I stated again that this is unacceptable and I was on the verge of leaving and wanted to speak with the owner. Still never heard back so I sent an email on their website. I finally received an email from the owner on Monday. We spoke today and he was full of excuses. He stated the cleaner was one of his best and she had an "off day". People have "off days" all the time but that does not give you the right to come into a customers home and accuse them of lying! He also stated he could add points to my account for 1/2 off a future clean, well what about the clean I just paid you for that was unsatisfactory? I stated I was very upset with the disrespectful treatment I received and that I did not want that team back in my home. I also stated that since I would need to train a new team on my home anyway I might as well switch cleaning companies at this point. The owner said "I suspect you have switched services before and that is not solving the issue" then he went on to explain there are people involved so he cannot guarantee homes are cleaned accurately 100 percent of the time and basically my expectations are too high. I referred two friends to this service and they have both left due to similar customer service issues. Now I know why they left. Beware of this cleaning service. For over $100 they wont even wipe your kitchen table and if you call because you are dissatisfied they will call you a "liar" in your own home!

I began using TCA about 7 weeks ago. I paid extra for Clean A & Clean B because they are supposed to be deep cleans. I had to vacuum and mop after Clean B because there were still crumbs and dirt on the floors. The mantle wasnt dusted and the carpet was barely vacuumed. My shower still had soap scum and they didnt return my shower head back to its original position so water shot everywhere when I turned it on. The team left their drink for me to throw away, which I did, after replacing the trash bag in the garbage can they emptied. The 2 person teams are in and out in under 2 hours which proves they are not cleaning the house and focusing extra attention on rotation areas. The part I dislike the most is that I have to chase the owner Dave to get a response. I emailed him a week ago and havent heard a peep back from him. Last week the team left an invoice on my counter for a different customers clean! They dont even know whose house they are at?? The excellent customer service they guarantee doesnt exist. If you want a service to scrub your toilets and give the illusion of Clean then TCA is right for you.

First two cleans are quoted as "deep cleans" and you are charged additionally for those cleans. We were told the clean should take two hours by the owner, however our second "deep clean" was finished in one hours. They give you a list of what they are going to do, but it would have been impossible to complete those tasks in one hour for a three bedroom two bathroom home. Also found windowsills and under beds that were never touched during the "deep clean". Attempted to address issues with owner and received a condescending dismissive response. Dont waste your time. I hired the Cleaning Authority to do a deep clean of a house were purchasing that had been vacant over a year. Since it was a big job, I came in the day before to remove the first layer of grime. After the cleaning authority had been there only 2 hours, they finished and it looked EXACTLY as Id left it the day before. I called to complain, since my satisfaction was guaranteed and was told if theyd done anymore theyd risk ruining my cabinets. You cant ruin something you dont touch! They charged my credit card anyway. Apparently, "satisfaction guaranteed" is a bunch of BS.

Ive been using TCA for about 2 years, and generally speaking, Ive been very pleased. Our current team leader, Sam (Team 4) is doing a terrific job of training new cleaners, and Ive been very impressed with how responsive shes been with my requests. Occasionally, over the past few years, there were some inconsistencies over the quality of the cleaning job, but those have been corrected for the most part. Im very comfortable with having them in my home, and plan to continue with TCA. Great job, this week, Sam and Jessica!

Called and made a appointment to have the owner Dave come over and give me a estimate.He never showed and I never recieved a call! What a waste of time and very unprofessional. I called the company to see what happened and they didnt investigate or even say sorry. They lost a possible new client. Beware!!!!!

The Cleaning Authority has been cleaning our house for the past several months. The cleaners are excellent and the cost is reasonable. We would recommend that you try them. John, Lake Zurich,IL
