I really love this repair shop. Previously, I took my car to the Honda dealerships to be serviced. Many times, I felt like I went in for something simple and ended up shelling out a lot more than originally planned. So I started looking around but was hesitant because 1) Im not a car expert and 2) I am a female. Both aspects make me a prime victim for getting scammed. So I was happily surprised when I came across Midwest Performance. First, their location is not far from my job. So I could drop my car off on the way to work and not have to worry about coming to work late and then leaving early in order to get my car serviced or having to sacrifice half of my Saturday. Second, when I take my car in, my car gets what it needs. For example, I recently thought that my tires needed to be rotated because they had not been rotated since I purchased a new set of tires about 9 months ago. Midwest checked the tires out and determined that the new set was more like winter tires and therefore nothing needed to be done. Then my last oil change from them was about 6 months ago. Initially, I was shocked by the price of the oil change (way more than I use to pay) but my car says the level is currently at 50%. So I ended up paying less than I normally pay.

I arrived at 9:15 in the morning, was told it should take a little over an hour. Not a problem, I went for a nice walk had breakfast, came back and was told it should just take a little longer. 20 minutes later, Tony tells me that they are just waiting for an oil filter and its arriving from their other location. It shouldnt be more than 10, 15 minutes max. 30 minutes later, another gentlemen tells me they have not arrived so he is just going to drive other there and pick them up. 30 minutes later hes finally back! Another 15 minutes of mechanic work, and my car was ready to go. How did they not know there werent enough oil filters during the first hour and a half???? Killed my day, finally got out of there around noon. The best part was that I stupidly bought the groupon for $20, which listed a Market Value of $50 for this service. How could they possibly justify a $50 oil change? STAY AWAY

Went in to inquire about service for my vehicle and spoke to Johnathan and he was not helpful, or provided me any options for service. His customer service was very discourteous and felt my business was not welcomed! Would not recommend as being a new customer! Hope this was helpful to anyone. As I saw the sign and figured they work on foreign autos and I went in as new customer. Respose to yours! My primary reason was for you to install a o-ring kit! Then jonhathan said he didnt see the item, my response was I could get the item! But BOTTOM LINE IS THAT JOHNATHAN DID NOT HAVE TIME TO COMMUNICATE WITH ME WITH HIS UNDIVIDED ATTENTION SO, HE COULD NOT FULLY UNDERSTAND WHAT I WANTED OR NEEDED, EVEN IF YOU COULD DO THE WORK FOR ME!!!!

The service department and particularly Jonathan were responsive and knowledgeable and it was on the basis of their initial response that I decided to send my car to them instead of to the mini dealership. As it turns out, not only were they able to find the cause of a problem that no other repair shop had been able to, including mini themselves, but the repair was less than half the price as they had identified the offending component. And in addition, they are a group of thoroughly nice people. The whole experience was more like tea at the Peninsula and less like the usual vague and muddy and expensive business that is navigating car repairs. Frankly, why would you ever go anywhere else? Thank you chaps, a job very well done indeed.

Its hard to find a mechanic you can trust, so when you do, its a big deal. Midwest Performance Cars (MPC) is full of mechanics you can trust. My car needed a bunch of work done, so I took it where many people do - to the dealer. When the dealer gave me an estimate that I felt was too high, I took my car to MPC. MPC did a complete inspection and found that some of the things the dealer recommended replacing did not really need to be replaced. MPC also found a critical safety issue that the dealer missed. MPC completed all of the necessary repairs in a prompt and professional manner and saved me a bunch of money in the process. As a satisfied customer, I highly recommend them.

My Father and I are long time customers. They have serviced my Fathers 1983 911SC Coupe, my 911SC Targa and my BMW 550i. I cant say enough about the mechanics and the admin staff at MPC- from the new owner to the schedulers, honest and very professional. This shop has the Speciality mechanics for your needs, from Porsche, BMW, Mercedes, Audi to Domestics. Emil knows classic Porsches inside and out, and i cant say enough about their BMW master mechanic Jong- one cool dude! The prices are good- and the service is done right and finished when promised. My Father a retired VW mechanic gives this place a thumbs up!

I have taken my cars to MPC for over 8 years and in my opinion they are bar none the best mechanics in Chicago. They are trustworthy (big plus for a woman with -0 car knowledge), knowledgable, accommodating, very friendly and welcoming. Unlike my experiences with other car shops, I have always been presented with options rather than being coerced into some service which may not be necessary at the time. Tom, Jonathan, Whitney and the rest of the MPC team are incredible! I have and will continue to recommend them to all of my friends who are just as happy with their work as I am.

MPC is a first class operation. They recently overhauled my BMW. Customer service is outstanding. I particularly like how the tech/mechanic reached out to explain all of the cost/benefit decisions that could be made in the service process. MPC was able to send out some computerized modules for repair for a fraction of replacement cost resulting in very nice savings. While I first thought that it would be unaffordable to keep my BMW, I am now very excited that I can get excellent service at reasonable rates from MPC. I give MPC my highest recommendation!!

I was desperate and dateless in Columbus, Ohio. My daughter phoned and advised that her 2006 E500 wagon was not starting. She hustled over to the Chicago Benz dealer who predictably tried to rip me off. I hit the Mercedes boards via the internet and my prayers were answered in the form of Midwest Performance Cars. Chris and Jonathan were the point men who capably and professionally solved all of my automotive repair and maintenance needs. Trustworthy, competent, communicative and on time. I wouldnt take my car anywhere else.

Tom and his guys at Midwest Performance Cars are great. I brought them my 06 m3 for service. They not only did the service but also brought my attention to a few other things that were wrong with my vehicle. Charlie(lead Tech) was nice enough to show me everything he found wrong with my vehicle. The pricing was very good fro the quality of work you get here. Also they washed my car for free. They did all of this in a timely manner and were great on updating me with info on how the work was coming. I will be going here again.
