Horrible work and a horrible attitude from the management. I went there about 2 months ago for brake service. They replaced my front and rear pads, 2 rotors and 2 rear calipers. After I left the shop, the brakes did not feel right so I immediately returned. The owner took it for a ride and told me its normal for them to feel that way and to drive it around with easy braking for a few days until the properly break in. Well a few days later the brakes started making this horrible grinding and loud pitch squealing noises and the brake pedal still felt softer than before the brake job. I took the car back and explained to them what was going on, the brought the car in, did something and sent me on my merry way. Well the brake pedal now felt like it was supposed to, but I was still getting the nasty noises whenever i applied the brakes. So I returned to them 2 weeks later telling them that the brakes should not sound like that. They put the car up again and they did something, and the sent me on way, again....... About a week later, the noises started again. I take the car back to them, again. The inspected it ,and the told me that my "driving style" is to aggressive and I did not let the pads properly break in. I never had any unusual noises from my brakes until I brought car to them. The only reason why I had my brakes checked because I thought it was time to do them since my car had 45,000 miles. I drove the car for a few more days after that. The noises were unbearable. So I decided to take my car to a shop near my work in Skokie Il. They basically told me that the pads the installed were 2nd market junk and they would have to redo the brake pad job. Also they told me that the calipers in the rear were probably still OK, being that my car was only 4 years old and they probably replaced them to spike up the bill. So I let them redo the job , and guess what? No more noises and I have been driving the car now for a month.. A & T Automotive is a big rip off and I suggest you avoid them like the plague. BTW, as you can see the owners responses from the previous reviews, you can tell they are only in business to make a quick buck, not provide quality service at a fair price.

kompletni. partacze bezmyslni nigdy wiecej nic nie bede u nich naprawiac zniszczyli mi dwa kola warte 3000$ twierdzili ze kazdemu moze sie przytrafic oni nadaja sie na zllmlwisko do rozbierania wraklw nic wiecej Had a horrible experience at this garage. brought in my 2013 BMW X5 to have the tires changed on the rear wheels. when I get the car back, both of the rims are severely scratched and the paint on them chipped in several spots. Mind you, these are not the stock alloy wheels these are quite expensive M style black rims. when i confronted the shop owner, he simply denied and refused to admit to what he had done. My wheels are now scratched and chipped because of the carelessness being displayed in this garage. Would NOT recommend going if you dont want any damage done to your vehicle.

I have changed brakes many times but was on a business trip so sent my kid. Unfortunately, I couldnt stop a total rip off from occurring. One caliper was stuck but they tried to charge $900 but ended up charging $500 for what should have cost less than $200. I made them return the old parts according to IL law so I could check for myself, but they physically destroyed (not by accident) the caliper and the other back (good but replaced) rotor and pads had almost NO wear at all since I recently changed it. What a scam. Stay away!!! The low-ball price on the sign is to get you in to jack up your bill.

This place should be called A & T Butchers cause all they did is butcher my car. I went in there for a simple exhaust replacement and these guys turned it into a nightmare. After they were done the exhaust pipes were touching many parts of the frame. The vibration noise it made was worse than the leaking exhaust made. I went back 4 times for these guys to rectify the problem but to no avail. I went to another place and had the system redone the proper way. I will never go to these butchers again

I have never had more of an honest quality service from them they have always done an outstanding job. I trust these guys to do anything to my car they are not what you have read. I think they are honest and they do great work. I will not go anywhere but A&T Bob is great and will work with you. Say what you want but he has saved me a lot of money and I have always have the sest service you can get. Larry

Ive been to this repair shop at least three time over the course of a year and 1/2. Each time Ive been satisfied with my experience. Ive gotten front brakes, back brakes, and a water pump replaced. All fair prices, and timely service. I will return this week for new tires. Im sorry to see that others have had different experiences than my own.

He didnt do a good job. He said he will replace Brake pads. but he didnt put new pads. He just grinded the pads and put it back.. He did not rotate and the tires and claimed he did. I had a mark in one of the tires and therefore could find out. Will never go here again.
