When I looked at the previous reviews here I was just a tad skeptical because they were all five stars and all written at about the same time. But it turns out the praise is well-deserved! Renew is great, and makes the unpleasantness of bodywork easier to handle. I stupidly damaged the front bumper of my Honda Accord by hitting the frame of my condo buildings garage door. Even though I was inching ever so slowly on the "slim chance" (ha!) I might not clear it, big chunks of paint came off the bumper -- probably due in part to poor post-accident repair work by another area body shop a number of years ago. I first obtained one estimate at a nearby place Ive used before, and was dismayed at how high the estimate was. Then I went over to Renew -- a clean, pleasant place as far as body shops go -- and was so happy when George (the owner?) came up with a FAR lower estimate. If fact, after he rounded it down and then confirmed I would be eligible for the "10% off all repairs" theyre offering as I write this (sign in front), it came out to less than half what the first place wanted to charge. I brought the car in about ten days later, after a trip. When I called to check on progress, George said it turns out the bumper wasnt worth fixing, that it should be replaced instead. But as I braced for price implications, he quickly added, "no change in price." It was done on time (just two days -- and he offered to speed it up even more, but I told him that wasnt necessary). No surprises on price when I went to pick up my car -- it was exactly what I was quoted. Of course Id rather not have needed to visit a body shop at all, but since it was necessary Im glad I found Renew! I dont usually write reviews, but this is one case where I wanted to show my appreciation and let others know. Reliable service at fair prices is harder to find these days.

I really want to recommend RENEW Des Plaines Auto Body, Car Body Shop & Painting ! We moved downtown and I accidentally smashed the door and rear end by a pole in tight parking space. I went to other body shops for estimate, always above $1k, since I wasnt involving insurance company I was trying to get a good price. I learned about Renew Des Plaines Body shop from a friend who had a similar car body repair done there. She said her caddilac looked like new after painting there. I went there and instantly knew I was in the right place, nice body shop, very professional owner, he recommended painting some additional elements to blend the color right. The price was $700 like 2 times cheaper than somewhere else ! Car was painted GREAT. Definitely recommend RENEW Des Plaines Auto Body, Car Body Shop & Painting for quality, professionalism and pricing !

I must communicate to the public that I just found one super cool Des Plaines auto body shop. I got my car scratched by an uninsured lady, its always a hussle to involve insurance company and get rate up so I visited few body shops for an estimate. I got really good price in RENEW Des Plaines Auto Body, Car Body Shop & Painting. The owner is a pro and body shop is very nice. They did the whole job in just 2 days ! I couldnt belive how well they did their work and I have a great eye for details.

I used RENEW Des Plaines Auto Body, Car Body Shop & Painting‎ to repair my BMW after a terrible collision. I checked out some other local Des Plaines body shops, but this body shop just felt right. I got my BMW fixed in the way that YOU CAN NOT BELIEVE it was in collision. I really recommend this body shop especially for luxury car repairs. You just cannot say that the car was in a collision. Great work !

Dont let the few reviews fool you. This is a great place, George is really friendly and professional. Gave me the car keys and walked over everything with me and the job was done perfectly. Wished Ive found this place sooner.
