A number of family and friends in Des Plaines had recommended TrueTech to me. My dad in particular has been going to them the last few years at the old location off of NW Hwy. Ive got to tell you, I was not disappointed. They did a whole bunch of long overdue repairs, along with some scheduled maintenance. Virtually no markup on the parts, if any, and really reasonable labor. They easily saved me $800-1000 vs going to my previous mechanic. The best part was their customer service. I talked with Matt, who was very knowledgeable and friendly. Also found out that two other mechanics, Steve and Sean, I personally already knew through friends in town. They know their stuff and do quick, affordable work. They had a few customers that walked in while I was waiting for a ride to work. They seemed to know everyone and talked about their families and kids. It really shows that they are a part of the Des Plaines community, genuinely care about their customers, and are passionate about the work they do. Ive only taken my car there twice so far, but they have made a lifelong customer. I recommend True Tech to everyone I know in the NW suburbs. Also their new location off Dempster is really nice. Theyve got a bigger garage and classy waiting area with couches, TV, and coffee.

Hands down the best mechanic shop Ive ever taken my car to. After taking my car there full of suspension issues and other issues, it feels like Im driving a brand new car again! From first phone call to the day of picking up my car, Kevin has shown nothing but friendliness and patience. Prices are more than fair and if I were you, I would not hesitate to give them a call. I have been using True Tech for our familys car repairs since they opened, at another location. I dont even consider going anywhere else. From regular maintenance to engine rebuilding and even replacement on vehicles that range from beater to high performance, their work has been uniformly of high quality and reasonably priced, and they communicate well with customers. Theyve saved me thousands of dollars, and are completely trustworthy. I highly recommend True Tech.

Reputable, friendly, clean, and they fix what needs to be fixed. TureTech was recommended to my son, he recommended to the family and we now all have our cars maintenance done at TruTech. I was told by dealership my car needed $$$ services done, scheduled an appointment with Matt at TrueTech. After mechanics checked the car and it cost me nothing, turned out there was no current maintenance needed.

They charge $55 ($58.03 with tax) to look at your car. That amount is applied towards any repair work you have them do. I didnt have my car fixed there because I dont have the money, but they informed me of all the things that were wrong, and they gave me quotes on what it would cost to fix them. They seemed honest and thorough.

I am absolutely in love with these guys! Ive been looking for a good mechanic shop for years and am very lucky to come across them. Staff is honest and helpful. Best mechanics in Chicagoland! I hope my car doesnt brake soon but its always a pleasure for me to deal with them! I highly recommend this place to everyone!
