I was moving from Chicago to Charlotte and was looking for some mover who is not going to loot me because most of the movers quote minimum $ 1200 to $ 1500 and the time they take to deliver your stuff at your destination is also 7-15 days minimum. I got to know about U-Pack from one of my friend who used it earlier and I thought of giving it a try. I used Terminal to Door Service (1 relocube container) and price ($ 684 - some promotional offer was going that time) was very reasonable. I had a studio apartment kind of stuff and found 1 relocube container was big enough to have all my stuff including mattress and furnitures.I packed my belongings in Uhaul boxes and dropped them at U-Pack, Chicago terminal using a Uhaul truck. Here one thing to note is that U-Pack is not going to do anything for you in this kind of service except shipping your container to the destination. So, I packed my stuff, i took it to terminal, put it in relocube container, put a lock and done :). I dropped it on Monday in Chicago and got my stuff in Charlotte on same week Friday at my new home. This is amazing service if you dont like spending a lot of money on movers and want to get your stuff delivered at your new home quickly. Customer service is also very courtesies and helpful.

We were very satisfied with our move thru U-Pack. The truck arrived when they said it would and the driver was very courteous and put it right where I wanted it and removed the ramp for us and showed us how to close the truck up when we were finished for the day. When we had the truck loaded, we called for pick up and everything went smoothly. Our truck arrived about 5 days after we arrived in Texas and that driver was also very courteous and helpful. When the truck was emptied, we called and they arrived the next day to take it away. After the truck was emptied we discovered and that there was no damage to any of our property and are very satisfied with the whole process. Also the people that we talked to on the phone could not have been more helpful than they were. They answered all of our questions and gave us the quotes. We were also satisfied with the cost of the whole move. I would be very happy to recommend your service to anyone that is planning on a move!

We moved across country, and the move went very well. Compared to either a moving truck (which you would drive) or a pod, which has limited space, U-pack gave us a 28 semi in which you can fill as much of it as you want, based upon two-foot increments. Once you have completed packing, a movable plywood bulkhead is secured in place. (This step will reduce but not eliminate the shifting of contents during transit.) The loading up of said trailer occurred at their terminal and the unloading took place on site at our new house. They provided us with a friendly, skilled driver who placed the trailer where we needed it. He gave me a brief hand at the beginning and end of the unloading process. Consider buying lunch for your driver, it wont break the bank & will definitely be appreciated. A sturdy ramp is provided by U-pack and a convertible hand cart is highly recommended.

Great experience with U-Pack assisting our move from Chicago to Maryland. We used an entire 28 trailer, and hired professional movers to pack and un-pack the trailer. Pros include: substantial discount to full-service move (about 40% cheaper, which includes accounting for hired packers/un-packers); transparent pricing; experienced in interstate moves; responsive customer support; great on-line tools (e.g., shipment tracking); and everything occurred on-time and as scheduled. No notable cons, but understand that this DIY approach has its challenges. Packing a 28 trailer "high and tight" involves some skill Im glad I delegated to experienced packers. Finding and lining up qualified packing help (and having a backup plan) worked out for us, but a no-show or botched pack/un-pack is a risk you need to be ready to address.

Moved a modest household from Chicago to NW Arkansas and had to store furniture for a few weeks. Hired local movers at both ends to load and unload, but the furniture stayed on the truck while we waited for our new place to be ready. Saved a bundle over traditional movers and avoided the hassle of renting a truck and moving in and out of storage. The drivers at both ends were real pros – parking the trailer exactly where we needed it. Would use them again in a heartbeat.

Great moving experience from Chicago to ATL, cost was near the cost of renting a UHAUL one way with gas, except I didnt have to drive a truck which is always a bonus. The cube got moved fast and the person who dropped it off helped unload it as well. We did not have them leave the cube due to street regulations and permit requirements, but they gave us 59 minutes to unload it.

Move was smooth, got a great deal with shared container. Trailer was on time , nothing damaged. The bulk head was not great, it was broken with sharp edges. We were prepared with gloves or it would have hurt our hands. Please take care of the bulk heads. Rest of it was fine.

Staff was extremely helpful setting up times for loading the pod. Our pod arrived at the new place on the very first day of the projected window. Very cost effective means of moving our 1 bdrm apartment, would definitely use this company again.
