I used this company bc it had a great Yelp rating. Completely undeserved. This was an immediately awful experience. The movers arrived and complained that no one had told them they were moving me out of a 4-story walk up. Except I had specifically told the person I booked with (and invited them to factor it into the pricing). The crew arrived on time, but then they asked me to sign all sorts of damage waivers. I quickly learned why: the very first thing they did was damage my fridge. I watched with no small amount of horror as they proceeded to flip my fridge end over end down three flights of very dirty exterior stairs. The doors to the fridge were not secured (I figured theyd use an appliance dolly, more on that later), but as they continued to flip this appliance upside down then right side up again the doors kept opening and banging all over the metal stairs they were taking it down. After they got the fridge downstairs I asked Derrick, the guy in charge, why they hadnt just used an appliance dolly. He said it was bc the fridge was so light. (More on that later). I then said I was concerned about what I had just seen and needed him to promise me that hed be more careful with the rest of my belongings. He told me I needed to trust his professionalism. I told him that if I had just witnessed his best work, I remain concerned and I dont want him moving the rest of my things. He responded with, "Fine, but the fridge stays here!" (Meaning the sidewalk). I then made a few increasingly anxious calls to both the regional and corporate offices, I was offered only to have a different ("the A-list crew") return on Wednesday. Derrick had told his boss that they chose not to use an appliance dolly bc it wouldnt fit on the stairs (see that being contradicted directly below). Meanwhile, I have my fridge sitting on a downtown Milwaukee sidewalk, right where they left it. So the solution, literally 5 hours later, was to have a crew move the fridge... NOT to my new one-story residence, but rather back UP my three flights of stairs (this time using an appliance dolly). I just cant even. I wouldnt ever ever EVER CONSIDER USING THIS BUSINESS. So my update: After I wrote this review I was contacted by a manager who identified himself only as "John." He hadnt talked to the manager Justin who I had been dealing with all day, but said he was the regional manager. John conceded that "if" my refrigerator had been flipped repeatedly down the stairs while moved it was "not acceptable." That said, he was going to CANCEL the rescheduled move for Wednesday and refuse to provide any further service because it "does not appear that they can satisfy my concerns." I pointed out to John that my concerns were only that his company was not using "acceptable" methods for moving, and that if he couldnt "satisfy my concerns" it is really just him acknowledging that his company is not capable of providing "acceptable" service. I offered him an opportunity to talk to Justin and to his movers and call me back before I hired another service. By 10am the next day I had not heard back from John so I called the company again. They were firm in their resolve that they could not work with me. Yes. I am clearly the problem. Not the fact that your workers FLIPPED MY FRIDGE DOWN THREE FLIGHTS OF STAIRS AND THEN ABANDONED IT ON A CITY SIDEWALK FOR 5 HOURS. Fair. College Hunks represents the worst customer experience I have ever had in my entire life. And I fly a lot, so that is saying something.

These guys are extremely nice and very willing and helpful, but they lack experience. If you have an easy move - I highly recommend them. But if you have anything that needs to be disassembled or moved down down a flight of stairs I would think twice. They did not come with proper tools to complete their job. They came with a small platform dolly (pallet with casters) and a regular dolly. No straps for heavy lifting - no gloves and only two screwdrivers!! Their price is very reasonable and their communication (emails, etc.) is great. I just wish they were a little more experienced. My items did sustain some damage. Use caution. I noticed in other reviews more people are mentioned. There were only two guys - a third young man showed up later. Maybe a larger crew would have helped. But like I mentioned above, they are really nice and very polite. And they tried to be so helpful. Took care to place items just where I asked. They are very nice young men.

I can not say enough about how wonderful the College Hunks are! After finding a carpenter ants nest in my house, the exterminator told me I had to remove all of the old, rotting, wood planks that bordered my entire front and back yards. Since I was undergoing chemotherapy treatment, I had no idea how I was going to accomplish that. I was hesitant to contact the College Hunks, but I was SO relieved when they said YES they could remove and haul away all of the wood planks. We set a date and time, and the team showed up as planned. Within less than 2 hours they were done, and they even went beyond our agreement by helping to fill some of the indentations left after the wood was removed. They were very reasonable, very professional and went that extra mile. Thank you College Hunks for making my life a little easier. I recommend you call this fine group of gentlemen if you need moving or hauling!

Outstanding Customer Service: College H.U.N.K.S. Hauling Junks team of movers, lead by Michael, provided an exceptionally stress-free moving experience for our local moving needs. The team, Michael, Donte, and Kevin, were prompt, professional, polite and pleasant. They truly improved our moving day process. For example, they formed an efficient system to move over 30-40 very heavy boxes of books from our basement, up steps and onto the truck quickly and smartly. We were impressed. Also, Michaels proficient leadership skill in packing and loading techniques made our move so stress-less and easy. The team earned our confidence, respect and admiration as outstanding movers who worked together well for our benefit. We would highly recommend H.U.N.K.S. to anyone in search of a comprehensive and professionally stress-free local moving experience. They were truly outstanding! John and Jacquelynn

I had a small moving job. Two new chairs I had ordered online needed to be moved into my house and the two old chairs needed to be removed and hauled away. I was able to accomplish this with one callbto College H.U.N.K.S. Arranging was easy, the price I was quoted was right on, no hidden surprises and when I asked to reschedule that was not a problem. My H,U.N.K.S. arrived within the window of my arranged time with a phne call letting me know they were on thevway. Both Andre and Emmanuel were friendly and efficient. They assessed what I needed to have done, went right to work and were on their way in no time. I will definitely call them again when I need help with moving or hauling away junk, big or small. I recommend you give them a try.

Loved the service. They showed up, and moved an old sofa quickly down some twisting stairs, without scratching or singing the walls. They did a better job moving that sofa then I did getting it into my townhouse. The movers were polite, friendly, and were overall pleasant to work with. They do take cash, but you need to specifically request that. Couldnt complain about the price. About $140 to move and despose of my sofa, and the did it in five min. Sure, the city will take it for free, if I call ahead a week, and then get a buddy and my middle age butt to frag it down the stairs to the street. Nope, I called these guys and saves my self a ton of pain, figuritively, and literally.
