My wife and I were traveling through Joliet and had our car break down about a mile away from Advanced Auto on a very dangerous stretch of I-80W. The owner, Rich, sent a tow truck to us and got us out of there. It was getting late in the day and the car was dead but Rich stayed late to troubleshoot it and even offered to give us a ride to a hotel when he determined hed have to wait til the next day for a part. The next day, a Saturday, he opened his shop an hour early to get us back on the road. While we were waiting, we had two cops tell us that Rich was the best, most honest mechanic theyve ever known and two other regular customers volunteered the same opinion later while Rich was out working. Rich really bent over backwards for us, its obvious he really cares about his customers, and his employees are hard working. I dont know what the deal is with the few 1 star ratings but Im pretty sure theres more to those stories than is being told. We had a great experience with Advanced Auto and, while I dont want to break down in Joliet again, if that were to happen, Id definitely be heading to Advanced Auto again.
