This post office is horrible. While their front line staff has improved in recent years, the back office is horrible. Incompetent postmaster after incompetent postmaster run this location and, unfortunately, many of their carriers would benefit from reading lessons. Of the six days delivery, I get junk/bulk mail 5 days and the rest of my mail on the sixth day when the regular carrier is off. Numerous complaints to the postmaster do nothing - a matter of fact the only way I know they received my complaint is when the supervisor is following behind the regular carrier. Futhermore, if you mail something from this post office, add two to three postal days for it to be delivered over a neighboring post office. (Seriously, I can mail something from the next post office north to my house, have it go through TWO distribution centers, and receive it next day - mail it from this post office to my home it will take three to four days to receive and it only goes through ONE of the TWO distribution centers that the mail from the other post office goes through.)

Waiting for my package and the great united states postal service strikes again. Was supposed to arrive yesterday, I was told my address was incorrect. I went into the post office to see what the problem was and the address was in fact correct, the mail person screwed up some how. I was told the supervisor would be out looking for my package and would give me a call to update me on what was going on. The post office is now closed, and when I track my package it says it is being returned to the sender (amazon) because apparently I moved? cannot get a hold of anyone, I have completely lost faith in this post office and would like to publicly announce I hate all of you that took part in this wonderful day. @ McDonough st post office

Husband went to file a complaint that his company appears to be missing mail regularly, waited in line for 45 minutes only to be told it was too late in the day to get a manager when they still were open for another half hour. He has had 3 checks from customers who have had to reissue checks due to lost mail in the last month, and does not receive mail 1-2 times a week. The regular mail delivery person makes us pick up packages at the post office because she refuses to get out of the mail truck to walk to the building, when someone covers her route we get those deliveries. When mail goes missing, it never, ever seems to show up leading us to think they are just throwing it away.

This is the worst post office I have ever seen. If the regular carrier has a day off the person filling doesnt stop by to drop off the mail or see if theres any mail need to be picked up considering its a business theres always mail to be picked up. And when I call the office to have someone stop by to pick up they never answer or when they do they give you attitude. Never have I seen a post office that is careless of doing there job. I hope they will get ride of the lazys and bring in new and responsible management who can make sure they return ur call when you call and make sure the situation is being handled

Wish I could give 0 stars. Im out of money because of the LIARS working at this post office. I shipped a tracked package to this post office, they received it, scanned it and attempted a delivery. After they brought it back to be held they lost it! When the recipient came to get it they told her that the package didnt have a weight and that the sender was at fault, which is me. Complete BS! The package wouldnt have left my office and got all the way there without a weight. Now I must refund my client because these people cant keep track of a small package or admit fault!

The post office has to get rid of its 1960s mentality, i have a small business and drop off pre-paid packages, the drop box is always full and I cant or barely get my boxs in. [Ah Hello, cant someone push a full one away and put an empty there, 30 seconds] If its to big I have to wait in line even though its ready to go, in Tinley office they say if its ready just put it on the end of the counter, thats how it should be, they can scan it when they have a chance. NOW on large boxs I take my pre paid boxs to UPS, easy to drop off at UPS store. Thats cost the USPS some money.

Apparently my businesses is "closed" we are definitely open and have been here all day. All I got handed to my manager was some basic mail and that was it. Checked back on the tracker at 4 and it says its still out, and now it says that we were closed and it will be shipped the next time we are open. Take responsibility for your own problems with errors in shipping not LIE to your customers!!! definitely just put a dent in my weekend. Apparently some one at your office cant keep up with numbers and are pushing stuff threw so you dont fire them ;)

I will go anywhere else to mail a package. Very understaffed. You can tell the employees are unhappy, by never being friendly. The lines are ALWAYS to the doorway or even longer. One day, I tried three times to mail a large box and ended up driving to Plainfield to mail it. Ridiculous. The better option is the downtown post office where it is sometimes crowed but never like the one on McDonough. Usually, I go to New Lenox as another option. ANYWHERE, but the McDonough St post!

My incoming mail gets mysteriously "lost" between this post office getting it and it getting to my house. I have already missed jury duty because my summons was lost. and I am currently trying to track down my BIRTH CERTIFICATE, which I mailed in when filing for my passport. The passport agency mailed it... and it got to joliet. but... never to me! Gooo figure. Ive filed multiple complaints and the office is sooo rude! All I want is my mail... =( This office deserves -5 stars

Apprently when I went submitted the application to have my address changed to my apartment, they also changed my dads mailing address to mine because we have the same name, even though I put my middle name, which is different than his. So I was getting his mail without even knowing it until it was brought to my attention by my mom saying he got a final notice in the mail about the address change or something like that.

If I could give a 0 star I would! Never get my mail, get everyone elses in Crest Hill but my own. Have had to drive around the neighborhood asking people, with similar numbers but not close names of my street, if they have my packages and they usually do! The rudest people on the phone, and the mail carrier changes everyday. They seem to have no care to do the route, they just put the mail where they feel like it.

Worst service I get my mail late at night post office closes at 5:30 dont get mail until 8:30-8:45 at night!! Constantly get other peoples mail have to go to my neighbors to deliver their mail. Nobody every answers calls at the office. They change carriers every other day and there all slow with service. Worst mail service Ive ever had from a postal service
