Called on a Saturday morning to see if they could repair my passenger window. Frank tells me "ya come on in, we can get you looked at today." I explained that I needed my car for work so if they couldnt fit me in I can use a work around until I can set an appointment. I was assured that wasnt needed. Instead they say to leave the car and theyll call me a little later that day. I call back around noon and they give me the same bs about how they will call me. Never hear anything back on Saturday so I stop in Sunday to find out they are closed. I talk to 3 different customer service reps (1st 2 were fairly incompetent and just gave me excuses and fake apologies) because Im now upset that Im without my car and no one has communicated with me Well it is now Monday and I still havent heard anything. Unbelievable lack of communication makes me distrust this place. I cant wait to find out all the other stuff thats needs fixing even though its just a power windows issue. All 3 customer service reps tell me someone would contact me but only the last one tells me it would be upwards of 2 days, which is ridiculous. There is no recourse for me other than to never use meineke again and to make sure those that I care about arent tricked into using them either.

Ive been there several times for basic stuff and had great experiences every time except my most recent (and last). I went in for an inspection and they quote me for a bunch of work that needs to get done ASAP, even if I dont get it done there. I was specifically told that all of my brake pads were worn down to nothing. Well ... 75% of the work they quoted as needing to be done, didnt. I dont just mean that I can last another 6 months, but I really shouldnt. I mean that the work didnt need to be done at all. Brake pads that were worn to nothing still have most of their life on them. Im pretty sure Meineke saying even if you dont get it done here was just them trying to give the false impression of honesty and seem like they were being legit. If they give you a quote for work needing to be done ASAP, Id highly suggest getting a second opinion and do not let them do the work right away or you may wind up getting screwed. They got greedy ... had they kept it simple and not gotten over $1,000 I likely would have just had them do the work on the spot, but they put the price high enough that I needed to get a second quote for the work and found out that this place is just dishonest and should be avoided.

Meineke in Lake Villa is what every single woman is looking for .... smart, honest, trustworthy, hardworking guys who are absolute heroes in my book. I had a very difficult situation in which another service shop was working on my car and totally botched the job... and was racking up a huge bill with no results... Dave from Meineke went out of his way to personally go to the other shop and get my car out of there, tow it to Meineke in Lake Villa. He and his highly skilled team resolved the issue and fixed the mistakes the first shop messed up for a very reasonable price (way less than what the first shop was trying to extort out of me) ... Dave and the guys at Meineke are modern day heroes in my book. As a single woman who are often targets when it comes to car repair... I trust the Meineke crew 110%. I rest easier at night knowing that if I ever have any car questions or issues in the future I know who I can rely on .... Thanks Dave and team!!!

on February 20,2014 i noticed my 2005 chevy cavalier was a loud roaring noise and had no idea where it was coming from. i drove in to the lake villa meineke location. As i walked in i was greeted by a nice young lady name Tiana and a gentleman named mike. they both were extremely nice and was listening to me tell them about my problem with my car. they had there mechanic FRANK (Best Tech In Town)pull my car in and within minutes he told me it was the front wheel bearing and literally within an hour it was fixed with reasonable pricing and ready for me to take it on the road! my car is now running even smoother than before!! i was and still am extremely satisfied with how they treated me and my car! the work they do is great and getting great service on top of that is double the pleasure!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SHOP!!

I visited Meineke-Lake Villa today for the first time. I was happy with the services provided and the cost of the visit. What I appreciated most is I didnt get the traditional hard upsell that I get from another nearby oil change place (you know the routine-- your cabin filter, power steering fluid, etc. is all in horrible shape no matter how often you seem to get it done and when you decline, you get "the look of shame"). Instead, I got what I came in for- a Synthetic Oil Change and tire rotation. They did bring to my attention two areas I need to keep an eye on, but nothing that had to be fixed immediately. Frank was friendly and the price was less than I had paid elsewhere (and I didnt even have any coupons that other customers were using). Well definitely be back!

Over the weekend my breaks went from a little squeaky to full on sounding like I was dragging something with every stop. I pulled in to Meineke on Monday to get the brake inspection just to see what I was dealing with and an estimate to fix the problem. Turns out my rear brakes and rotors are shot, requiring them to be replaced. The manager was very nice, understood that I was working with a budget. He gave me all the information I needed and I came back the next day to get my back brakes and rotors replaced. All in all I had a great experience at Meineke in Lake Villa and am happy with the work they did, I will be back soon for an oil change. Thank you Meineke.

DONT GO TO THIS LOCATION THEY ARE DISHONEST, THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY BUT DO NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. The owner Dave is a very dishonest person. I took my car there to get it fixed and he charges me to fix the reparis, two days later the problem came back. When I went to him he told me that he needs another $700 to fix the problem that he claimed he fixed. They behave as if they are friendly when they want your business but when you go there to have the problem fixed and they realize that you are on to their lies, then they behave reallY RUDE. STAY CLEAR OF THEM, they also own the location in Mundelein so do not let them take your money but not fix your vehicle.

These guys are pretty awesome! I brought my car in after it broke down (15 years old, 180k+ miles). Unfortunately the car wasnt worth repairing so I had to have it scrapped. The person who was supposed to scrap my car never showed so these guys did it for me no problem. The tow gave them a $100 credit for the car and they passed it on to me. Super nice! There was a diagnostic charge when I initially brought the car in which I hadnt encountered at other shops before, but they were thorough and helpful, the place is clean and neat and theyre very very helpful! I recommend this shop to anyone in the Lake Villa/Lindenhurst area.
