I used the Foglia Y as a place to swim over the winter months and was greatly disappointed in their service. The pool is often overcrowded, and little respect or consideration is given to the members attempting to lap swim. On multiple occasions, I had young children jump in the pool nearly on top of me while lap swimming, and the lifeguards did nothing. It was rare for the lap swimmers to be notified when our lanes needed to be given up for lessons - children would, again, jump in on top of us. More often than not, six or more of us were crammed into the sixth lane, again without indication. If youre looking to lap swim, Foglia is not the place. While I understand staff does their best to accommodate swim team, lessons, AND lap swimmers, it often doesnt seem that way. I have repeatedly talked to the Aquatics Director and other individuals in management positions for the aquatic centers and have received only vague and inadequate responses to my concerns. While the aquatics center focuses on swim team and lessons, they neglect to communicate effectively with their lap swimmers - who are paying members. I dont plan on returning to the Foglia Y come fall; I will find another place to swim.

In my opinion i thought this Gym was very impressive and the best in the suburban area. The main reason i say this is because my main level of interest is to lift weights and I think their weight room is a fine of the art room and is definitely the best part of the YMCA. So to me, everything was great the couple months Ive been there. Another great part is the Locker Room. Speaking as a male, it had great space but the big issue was the size of them. You could only fit your flute in there and thats about it. Ive never went swimming there so i cant tell you much about the pool. From reading some comments below, everyone is complaining about the Customer Service. Recently I had a problem with an older gentleman harassing me in the weight room. I told one of the staff members and they quickly came to my defense and made sure everything is okay. So either they cleaned up the staff or the people below me didnt give the gym enough of a chance. Anyhow, I definitely recommend this gym especially if you love to Lift Weights like I do.

Absolutely terrible experience and uneducated staff! I was extremely disappointed with my recent experience at the Foglia YMCA. My son wanted to attend a teen pool party as a non-member. I made a phone call to specifically ask if I had to personally be there to register him being that we were no members. I was told no that he would pay $15 to enter. We were carpooling so my son went with his friend. My son calls and tells me he was not allowed in because I was not there to register him. Terrible experience!!! Educate your staff! You were very good about putting prices on the flier. You could have mentioned required registration.

I live between the Foglia YMCA and the Buehler YMCA, but I frequent Foglia the most. The staff is wonderful, the equipment is in top shape. The pool is great, and the expanded basketball court rocks. My only complaint is the locker rooms. I wish they had carpet & stools like the Buehler YMCA ... the benches at Foglia are not as useful, and the tile floor is always wet & dirty even though maintenance mops it at least twice a day.

Love this YMCA! The water aerobics classes with Abbe are the best I have ever been to! She puts together amazing choreographed classes with music. She has a wonderful caring spirit and always worries about each and every class member! I highly recommend Abbe and all the water aerobic classes at the Y!

Ive been a member at the YMCA since 2005... All the employees are rude now and dont even give you the time of day, closes earlier now. & even some days the whole facility isnt open. Recommend LA Fitness to people who are serious about getting fit/healthy!

Best state of the art workout facility in the area! New equipment and great informative staff! Really reasonable rates and plenty of free fitness classes.

Great gym and membership benefits, but a little pricey for what you get. Parking usually isnt an issue, which is good.

Chris berman is amazing
