I went in and asked for an estimate on a wheel alignment. When the work was done, he more than doubled the quoted estimate, over $100 more than was originally quoted. There was no prior indication that additional work was needed nor was I told that the cost would be double until after the work was done. After I complained (voiced my fustration) how shady that was, he would not accept my check for payment. He said I couldnt get my car back, (which is a 1957 Chevy convertible,) unless I paid in cash. What a problem that was since he was holding my car hostage, I didnt have a means of transportation, other than walking to the bank. Looking back at the situation, I should have called the police to report this as theft. That was over five years ago, but still the same people. Even though its in my village of Mokena of 18 years, I will never, never, never will go back there again.

Brought our car in when it wouldnt start. They said it was one thing, then another, then another. They kept on selling part after part just trying to guess what was wrong and charging us each time. They said the car needed a new battery when the battery was under warranty. They lied saying the battery was not under warranty then argued it was too long after the fact. After a lot of arguing they finally refunded the battery cost. This was after almost 2k worth of charges that are not being refunded and the car is still not fixed. While picking the car up to take it someplace else they were extremely rude and yelling. Puffing out their chest saying "you dont mess with me" These people are absolute crooks and nobody should go there unless they are looking to get ripped off and get into a fight.

I have taken my vehicle to the dealer for recalls and TWICE they have made recommendations for work I had already had done. So I am not a fan of getting repairs at the dealership. When I go into Hi-Tech for a second opinion, they are honest with what I need NOW and what can wait. They have also been willing to work with me on the cost AND when I was in a hurry for an upcoming trip they personally went out of their way to get the part and get me going on time. When I returned they asked about my travels and how everything went. I appreciate the personalized service and LOVE supporting small businesses.

Ive been a loyal Hi-Tech customer since 2003 for a good reason: They simply are the best. Never have I felt less than 100% satisfied with the quality of the work, the timeliness, and the professionalism of all that service my cars. I am never nickel and dimed, pressured, or any other negative connotation that is commonplace in the automotive repair experience. Furthermore, on numerous occasions, more than the extra mile has been gone for me and other customers. They know your name....and that means a lot. There is no reason to look elsewhere.

Had brake problems, they put on calipers,brake lines and asked for automatic brake bleed. Brake bleed was never performed,remand calipers had excessive play with leaking bleeder screws...I went back to advise,they told me they would warranty out the calipers but never did,I asked twice if they performed the hydroboost clean bleed and they lied right to my face! Had to take to a trusted shop of 20 years and spend another $400 to re do all of hytechs back alley work...will never reference or use ever again

Brought my car there for some electrical issues. A/c cruise and wiper washer not working. They installed a fuse panel for $850. Did nothing. Had the car for 3 weeks. Suggested pcm and cluster for another $1700. I said no thanks. Took the car back. Purchased a cluster for $60 on ebay installed my self and all fixed. This is an oil change hut only. They get one star for suggesting the issue and giving me a discount on the unnecessary $850. Full refund and this post will come down.

Took my jeep for a basic alignment after installing new front tie rods and ball joints. They said they needed to loosen the tie rods to align it and it would be $230 instead of the $79.99. Am I wrong or dont you need to loosen the tie rods to align it accordingly anyways? If they didnt need to be adjusted, then I wouldnt need an alignment! When I asked for my keys, the service technician just tossed them on the counter and ignored me when I was trying to thank them anyways.

Great Automotive Center!! I have had my 2012 SUV in for several issues (air conditioner repair, new front brakes, temp control knob replaced, new muffler, new battery and this Saturday, new tires). Estimates are reasonable and the work they do is reliable.Im a girl who knows very little about cars so I depend on Gus to tell me what work needs to be done. Gus and Andy always provide great customer service and exceptional work. I had issues with rattling noises near the front wheels and I was concerned with safety. They made great effort to get me in for an appointment right away even though they were busy. They fixed the problem and I was on my way!! Thanks Gus and Andy!!

I have been a regular customer for over 15 years. Take all of my cars here for service, whether it be minor or major. Service is fast, efficient and always done right the first time. Recently had a situation where two cars needed tire repair. Both cars fixed the same day. Would highly recommend Hi-Tech to anyone.

The customer service was wonderful and the customer area was very cool. I was told what was wrong with my car, they explained why I needed the repair, and even offered me the parts once the job was finished. I was treated quickly and wonderfully. Clean professional place, but prices are ridiculous. Do your research before going there. Actual stealership (dealer) was 30% cheaper and the dealer has certified technicians for your make.
