What ever you do... stay away from Larry! He is the most unprofessional business man I have ever encountered. I picked up a virus and took my Gateway laptop to have it cleaned up in mid December. After I got it back, I realized he gave me the wrong power supply, he swore it was mine, but it wouldnt charge my computer. He eventually found the correct one and dropped it off. I was still having major issues and Larry proceeded to inform me that my hard drive was nearly full. I picked up one at Tiger Direct on 12/30/14. After not hearing from him I called to find out the hard drive I have is different from the one he instructed me to get. He said they havent made my style since 2009 and would get me one off eBay. He never bothers to keep you updated. After no communication for a month from him, I texted him and he said they shipped him a defective board on two occasions. After waiting another 30 days. I finally had enough and asked for my computer back. He proceeds to tell me that he is going to give me a different computer that is a model newer and has 3 times the memory of my old unit. When I stopped in to pick it up, he shows me my old unit... "thats not mine, the one youre giving me thats a model newer is my original laptop." He has no filing system and obviously doesnt tag the gear when it comes in. He agreed to give me a full refund and buy the board that I picked up at Tiger Direct two months ago. He said hed remove the software he installed (never agreed to have him install any) and hed put my old hard drive back in. It would take him another 15 minutes. Ive already been waiting a half hour and had someplace to be in 15 minutes. I called back an hour and a half later and it still was not ready. He said hed drop it off on his way home. He calls at 9 pm to inform me hell be by in 15 minutes. He pulls up and hands me a check for less than what he promised with a mumbled weasel comment... "I charge $45 just to look at computers." That was never our agreement. I still have pop up viruses and I will be getting a different computer.

Larry Shaver
As with all things Good and Evil there are two sides to every story. Having read the disgruntled customers review posted during 2014 on yelp, we find it very disturbing that only this one negative review was carried over to google and all of the positive reviews were left behind. We can tell you first hand that we have been dealing with Larry for over 10 years and have never had a problem with any of the computer services he has performed for us. This also includes work done for other members of our family as well. The negative review posted seems more vindictive towards Mr. Shaver than accurate and after hearing Mr. Shavers side of the story were convinced that must be the case. According to the facts we know and our past experience with Maplebrook Computer Service it seems Mr. Shaver is being slandered through Social Media by this person and aided and abetted by yelp and google. I am of the opinion Mr. Shaver should speak with an Attorney about his legal options.

Ive been volunteering for Mr. Shaver for around 3 years now and he has always been really upfront with his costumers. He is a man that definitely knows what he is doing and he has taught me a lot. Most of the costumers that I see around the shop have enjoyed his friendly nature and have been more than satisfied with his work. Hes a good man with a lot of wisdom; I always have a good time working with him.
