If I could give this negative stars, I would. I went in for an oil change, they were too busy and told me to come back. My car was giving me problems earlier that day and they had to jumpstart my battery. They told me to keep the car running and come back later. I couldnt do that since it would have been a colossal waste of my time. I went to auto zone and they told me I needed a new battery. They replaced it and my car worked fine afterwards. I returned to Midas for my oil change and informed the person at the front desk that I had my battery replaced and just needed an oil change. He looked at me like I killed his dog. He then went on to lecture me that I should have just come back and he could have done the battery change and for a lot cheaper. I told him I didnt have time to waste and got it done elsewhere. All I needed now was an oil change. He went on and on about how I messed up and paid too much for my battery. He then quoted me $30 cheaper at his shop than auto zone. I told him $30 isnt much of a difference. He said, "Well, if you have $30 to throw away, I dont." He went on and on lecturing me about what a bad decision I made going to Auto Zone. I sat down and waited for my oil change feeling like I was sent to detention for doing a horrible thing. No one should have to feel this way. I went to Midas for an oil change, not a lecture. If they had time to look at my car in the first place, I wouldnt have gone elsewhere. Bottom line, horrible customer service. I called corporate and filed a complaint. I will NEVER return to this Midas and I will refer all my family and friends to another place for oil changes and auto repairs.

I brought both my cars to be serviced and honestly I had different diagnostics in addition to what was wrong The first time my blinkers werent working paid for them to be corrected then immediately 2 other things went wrong so I took my vehicle to the dealership to be serviced ended spending way more money in the end Second time I brought my second vehicle to be serviced and I only had brake problems ended spending more than $600 drove away shortly and it felt like my vehicle was fallen apart Immediately returned with new problems that didnt pre exist when theyd just serviced my car I brought my car the second time against my gut feeling of a repeat happening but because Eddie is very customer service oriented you want to perhaps think or believe that maybe it was something wrong initially because hes too nice to be corrupt and selfish Well the second time it happened again in the same order I wouldnt bring my daughters big wheel to be serviced there stay away from the Midas in Oak Lawn please The parts they use to put on your car are after market yet you are charged the same price for parts that are better than after market as there arent any warranties on after market purchases so why not just order new parts well its because they pocket the money or use it strictly toward sales to make the store more profitable to meet there quota Bottom line is customer service is great but they compromise ripping you off in your face and that is very unethical I wish I could have given zero stars

This is best Midas shop in town. They are under new management since many of the other reviews listed here over 3 years ago. They take great care of their customers and I always go back. I have tried other local Midas shops and they are just OK. This one is the best in my opinion. I take ALL of my cars here. I have never been disappointed. I once tried to take my car to another Midas out by Ohare when I heard a noise while driving. I got a crazy quote that did not seem quite right. I called this shop & the manager, Eddie remembered me & my car right away. I left the other shop & came right into this one. Eddie saved me a few hundred bucks on a repair I didnt need right then and I was up & running the same day. My car has been running perfectly ever since. Very professional, exceptional customer service and always a good value for my money.

Long time area resident: My girlfriend went in with a Groupon 3 times and each time Eddie said there was a 3 hour wait. (They dont take reservations) Another gentlemen walked in and was told to come back in an hour by Eddie. My girlfriend asked what that was about and he laughed and and began berating are about her Groupon. Told her to get her fatass out of the shop while waving a tissue in her face. He was so aggressive that she had to call the police and file a report. EDDIE is a scumbag dirt ball who treats women with disrespect and I will tell EVERYONE I know never to come here.

Not a very professional shop. Purchased a new muffler and tailpipe through them and had it welded up. THEY NEED TRAINING ON HOW TO WELD. For an exhaust shop the cold welds might last a year all lumped on the metal. They tried to make it right by replacing the muffler and tailpipe but the technicians were loudly mocking the quality of the welds for the guy trying to fix the first repair and mocking me, the paying customer, for wanting it right. The repair welding was a little better but could benefit from more training. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SHOP.

I went in for an oil change and tire rotation. I habe a 2009 Ford Fusion. When I got my car back, it is now making a crazy noise when I drive (which was not there before). My husband called and asked them about it; they told him to have me bring it back and they would put the tires back the way they were. I took it back so they could rotate the tires back. It is now even worse and more louder than before. Sounds like my tires are going to fall off. Now I have to take ot to the mechanic to see what was done to my car. Really disappointed.

This shop has the most honest and caring employees of any auto repair store Ive been to. I called the store to ask if they were able to change my car battery the same day. I explained that I wasnt sure when I would be in because I was waiting for AAA to come and jump my car. Eddie remembered me, drove to my house a few blocks away, jumped my car, and changed my battery at the shop within 10 minutes of me arriving at the store. I will definitely be back and will recommend this shop to anyone who asks! Thanks Eddie!

Unheard of Service, amazing. My husband was to take my car in this morning for a new battery-he had it on the charger all night so he could at least get it there...of course it didnt start. He went to see if he could at least purchase the battery-The mechanic said hed drive it to our house and install it there. All for less than what other places even start to charge!!! In awe of the service. Very happy
