Friday i purchased tires on Pepboys website. The following day i recieved an email saying the order was cancelled and to contact that store. That being said, i drove there to talk to the service manager in person as it was on my way home from shopping. Needless to say, I was told it was a discontinued tire, they cannot get them, and only the store on western ave had 1 in stock. He tried selling me a different tire. He also tried to tell me that i wouldnt get the 4th tire that was on promotion for free if i didnt by the hazard warranty which i no is BS.. Truth be told, Pep boys warranty is useless because they dont stand by it and i know this from past experience. He said he didnt know why there website lets people place orders and that it was wrong. I left there store, came home got back on the comp. Went to the site, chose the (supposedly discontinued) tire i wanted installed. Clicked on the "want it sooner" chose that store 5miles away. I called that store to confirm that they actually had the tires, and they did. I made the purchase and scheduled an appointment for Monday. My review is based on this stores management. The service department has been ran very POORLY for at least a decade. I can only assume this is due to poor wages, strict policy, terrible incentives, and the only one to blame for this is Corporate Management! If the price wasnt so good id be going to "Discount Tire" where I have always had good experience.. If they stocked this tire I wouldnt be writing this review because they price match as well.

went to this location about a month ago. earlier that day i had a slow leak in my tire. drove to a few tire shops to see how much a used tire would cost. everywhere was $50 and up. i was about to pay that price until i was told it was an additional $50 because one of my lug nuts were stripped and so it would cost more to get it burned off. i left that place and headed home, but on the way, i stopped at the grocery store. i had caught a flat at the aldis nearby. i was upset and went into the pep boys nearby to see if i could get something to temporarily patch up the hole. because of the placement of the leak, they said it was impossible. i then thought i was just have to spend the hundred, THAT I COULD NOT AFFORD, they took a look at it. they took a few hours, past the closing time. they were tired and ready to get home to their families, but they stayed to help me. they gave me another tire, new lug nuts, and burned off the old stripped one, and i was charged an affordable price. and one of the guys even offered me and my mother barbecue that one of the employees brought for his crew. i am forever grateful. i feel bad that it took so long for the review, but i have been transitioning into a new job, school, and a few other thing s in my life. but this place is the best place to go. i believe all pep boy locations may be good, but this location definitely has a great team working there. thanks guys!

Recently brought tires on June 10 with installation wheel alignment and computer balancing the hankook ventus noble s1 noble2 my appointment was at 9:00am but got their at 8:00am hour early my vehicle got started on at 9:00 and was their two hours which is decent time the wheels look great I can tell from the little car expertise I have that they were put on properly the staff their are professional the only thing of concern was PepBoys business is to car for your care and my car was making noise 9 out of times because it needs new wheel bearings in the front but even tho the mechanic had to drive it in from outside he never mention it so that was like a test I did but over all I think their staff are good and value for dollar is good also their worth a try and most likely you will find a home for your vehicle repair and services their I would rate them 7 in a half with potential to be higher and thats rare in the car service business when most just want to take every penny from you and not own up to mistakes they make on your car but I felt they had at or above average honesty

I wont go to any other pepboys the service is more than excellent manager Dan is on top of things and assistant Jessie Ramos is just always pleasant and he has excellent communication skills he truly is a people person he and the staff never attempt to take advantage of you. I feel like Im at home they make you feel comfortable and I trust the work that they perform. Local auto and other shops could use this store 7030 Cicero as a example of how to treat and keep a customer. 7030 is not the closest store to me 95th is and I live near 80th street and Ill drive the distance and pass up other stores pepboys firestone etc..to give 7030 my business.In a nutshell this store and its wonderful staff rock five stars is not enough for the rating they need to get 10.Thank you Jessie for always going the extra mile you are a Rock Star...Thank you Dan for your service and the SUPER STARS you employ.

These guys are awesome! We were in for an oil change before a long road trip. The store didnt close for at least another hour, but the shop was backed up because one of the mechanics had to leave. The manager knew we had the road trip and did not want us to have to wait until 10 p.m. So, he went into the garage and changed our oil himself. He didnt have to do it and it took him away from some other duties, but he wanted to help us. Awesome, right? Every Pep Boys location Ive been to has excellent customer service, but this place is tops! If you need any more proof that these guys are the best, we live near the University of Chicago and we make the trip to Bedford Park because the service here is that good.

I realized last minute I was due for an oil change, I went to two places that turned me away because they said they were closing even though their shop was open for 15-20 more minutes. I called Pep Boys and Alfonso answer the phone. By now they were due to close in 15 minutes and I was 10 minutes away. He asked me how quickly I can be there, I told him 10 minutes and he said to come on and hed take care of me. They got me in & out fast with no hassle. There is nothing like great customer service which is hard to come by nowadays. Thank you to Alfonso and the staff at Pepboys for helping me out!

So I was getting an oil change for my boyfriends car and I went to Firestone right off 95th and Weatern... Phillip was a guy who worked there and he straight up said, "I dont feel like doing it." -__- he recommend I go to pepboys on 70th and Circeo, so I did. The manager, Jessie took the car in even though I came last minute, Jordy got the oil changed in under 15 minutes, and I got a discount. The manager said, "I gotchu," in his Puerto Rican accent. He was also very personable and hilarious. I will always go back there, if 10 star was an option... I would have definitely given them 10 stars.
