This post office is an absolute TERROR & NIGHTMARE (Im keeping my words clean here & trying so desperately to do so). I live 4 minutes away & I choose to mostly go 12 minutes to Aurora as theyve known me 20 years & Im treated with courtesy & respect by all the girls in Aurora everytime - nevermind the wait. At downtown Oswego Laura, LaCrystal, Peggy & that uneducated acting/speaking, cigarette breath "postmaster" Pam Herman have gone far beyond making me mad. I should have gone to a lawyer, but they would have sided with their postmaster, Jackie Herman. To make a long story short, Laura & the others appeared to have taken a disliking to me because of my Sexual Orientation & I perceive she was jealous by all of the personal questions she had asked. In March 2013, to my horror, Laura caused 3 boxes to all go missing at the same time with tracking noted "missent" or "undeliverable". 2 post offices got involved due to all of this mishap. Laura also continuously kept throwing my International "proof" receipt copies away. I stopped going for 8 months. I should have NEVER returned!!! Then in January 2014, the brand new postmaster, JACKIE HERMAN, wound up pointing her finger 1.5" from my face - over the counter, because she couldnt understand why I needed a particular Priority Mail label. Jackie is totally beyond UNPROFESSIONAL I really & truly should have had her investigated as I think she has many things to hide (like she might be a drunk or drug addict as thats how THEY act). In any event maybe you giggled, maybe you cringed & maybe you dont believe! BUT, try ever speaking up about ANYTHING to any one of them,or just merely asking a question they dont like & youll see what I mean. Good luck:)

I havent personally interacted with the staff at the Oswego post office location, but I have consistently been on the receiving end of their mistakes. On more than one occasion, the packages sent from the Oswego location have taken over a month to arrive. (A package sent for Easter in the middle of April wasnt received until the beginning of June!) I understand things happen, stuff gets lost, people make mistakes, packages may get overlooked, etc. However, when the sender calls to inquire about the status of the package (tracking number always says its still at Oswego), they have no answer and dont even try to help figure out whats going on. They either cant find it or its already left Oswego and they cant find out where it is or its literally still sitting in the corner waiting to be sent out. They also say they cant do anything about a "lost" package until its been a month since sending. Really? Because if its simply sitting in the back we shouldnt have to wait a month to find this out! Shipping should be refunded in that case. This is getting absolutely ridiculous and the sender will be using another post office from now on. Everything shipped from another location always arrives within a couple weeks.

Our post office in Oswego, IL decided they will not deliver packages to the 2nd floor of our complex, Deer Run on Light Road. One postal worker slipped so all of the postal workers will not go to the 2nd floor. Dont you guys have an oath,,,thru rain, sleet, blah, blah, blah....just not to the second floor. Can we add that? I mean they can stand on the first step & throw it up. I am disabled and do not have a car. So I cannot order anything that has to be delivered if the company I order from chooses US Postal Service as their delivery method. Just because one guy is a clutz doesnt mean no carrier should walk up the stairs. My daughter, who is a postal worker says consumer affairs should be my next step.

I agree with the others who left negative reviews. For the most part in the past 5years I would give them the worst possible rating. The clerks are rude, nasty, and give the worst service you could possibly imagine. One clerk named Carol is a trip. She loves to sort incoming mail looking for errors so she can charge the recipient for postage due. She laughs out loud telling the other clerks about these finds! It gets her wet! (Recently Carol got cancer so shes not there currently. Fortunately for us customers.) LaCrystal is another nightmare. If shes working the counter, RUN! Go to the nearby Montgomery Post Office for better service and friendlier clerks.

I just want my mail I agree that the clerks are not overly happy people, but I wouldnt really call them bad. They dont seem happy, but I can live with that. The reason I hate the post office is because they routinely deliver me the wrong mail, and we routinely send it back. I assume this means my mail is being mis-delivered as well, and now my W-2 is lost so I am going to the ring the doorbell at the address whos mail we usually get to see if they have it. Either way, I cannot believe how often this happens and cant believe it isnt getting corrected.

there is one clerk who is great and cheerful, but most of them are just not very good. I believe this stems from La Crystal, the manager. Shes yelled at my once (for simply asking them to take my mail appropriately) and today when I was trying to get some clarification on a new shipping rate, she said oh, so I guess you work at the post office now implying that I was stupid, while she was smart. Im an elected politician and have two international companies, and I cant believe anyone would ever represent a company the way this post office does.

I had a package waiting for me at the post office I need to sign for. I waited in line. Cant blame the staff for that, there was a customer who kept on going and going about some tv show. Then La Crystal came up from the back, i saw a bad review about her. She was not friendly but at the same time was not mean, just down to business and I respect that. I didnt have great service but at the same time I didnt have poor service, only gave 3 stars because parking is horrible.

This is quite possibly the worst post office in the US. They are rude, are never helpful, never know what is going on, misplace packages, and put other peoples mail in my PO & regular mail box. They also find any reason possible to deny shipping your package - even when the package fits the rules online to a "T". Ive taken to driving my packages over to the Montgomery location, where Im always greeted by smiling and attentive staff.

I have had no problems with them. They are people, too. If you are having poor customer service, perhaps it is the way YOU treat the customer service rep. They need to be treated with respect, just like everyone should expect to be treated. Sometimes a smile and a little kindness can spark a good interpersonal and professional moment of service.

I do quite a bit of business shipping and although much of it is picked up from my home, I do have questions or need to visit my local branch. With as many times as I have gone in, I have never had an issue with anyone from this location and everyone has been very helpful and considerate.
