The process of getting our small-sized kitchen cabinets refaced has taken over three months. All throughout, there has been a total lack of communication regarding the timeline and late notices. For example, on two occasions (July 1 and July 14), the salesperson (Eric) emailed only 12 hours or less in advance saying that they will not be working the following day. With the sander and the painter, we were told that they would come at 9:30AM every day, but they came over an hour late every day, and on one day, the painter did not even show up even though he explicitly said he would come the next day. I emailed Eric twice to which he replied to only one of those emails multiple days later, and I spoke to the owner, Mike, about the painter not showing up on Thursday, July 9. He was very disrespectful in his tone and said that he doubts the painter (Fidel) said that he was going to come on Thursday, Fidel has been working there for 20 years, and he himself has had the company for 30 years and thinks he has done well for himself. I do not understand how that has anything to do with the issues of poor punctuality and lack of communication. He said he would call me back when Fidel got into the shop and that he would schedule the final installation and paint day with me over the phone, but I have still yet to hear from him. We set a tentative day of Wednesday, July 15 for the install and paint, but tonight, Eric (salesperson) emailed and said that they will not be at our house tomorrow. I feel a total lack of respect because my time has been spent waiting for them to finish the small-scale project, waiting for them to come when they said they would, and waiting for them to respond. I have had to miss days or work and reschedule my kids doctors appointments numerous times because of their sudden delays. I would have appreciated more frequent notices on the progress of the project and as owner and manager of the company, I wish Mike would have followed through with his word when I called on July 9, and I wish he would have also called himself today, as he said he would, rather than tell his employee to email me 12 hours beforehand. In terms of the project, not only has it been excruciating slow but my bowls have white paint splotches on them as well. It was one of the very first projects I wanted complete because I have a young toddler and a baby at home, and safety is of utmost concern. The delays have not merely been a hassle but a safety issue; therefore, I tremendously regret choosing Save Wood.

Very unprofessional, unethical and quite possibly incapable. Received their name from a referral so felt confident to go forward. Biggest mistake. Came to my house saying that they could do any color/style as well as add to my island to make it look like a piece of furniture. They provided no sample, drawings or pictures or even sound details just a quote. Brought stain samples to my house and I chose one. Couldnt match color or even come close. They used my doors to prepare the samples...which is ridiculous in hindsight. After numerous attempts to get stain color right communication stopped. After 2 weeks I called the owner who then informed me that the rep no longer work there, that he was fired. He informed us that he would be handling from now on. I felt this was going to be good given that hes the owner. He was unapologetic and unwilling to make me, as the customer, feel confident in the situation or in the companys ability to complete the job to my satisfaction. After the final sample was brought, which was wrong, again, he stated "it was as good as it was going to get". He then offered us a total refund which we accepted. We did not hear from Mr. Morrissey again in person. He ignored our initial e-mails and phone messages and weeks later he responded via e-mail reducing his offer by commisions paid and staining fees. After numerous attempts to talk to him on the phone, which he ignored, we finally decided to accept his offer just to put an end to the situation. He then responded via email that we would received the check by a certain date. To date (one year later), we have not received our refund. Thankfully, he kept the doors with us even though they are stained two different colors. Do not use this Company.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! We saw the fantastic job they did at our friends house, so we hired Save Wood to save our honey oak cabinets. The cabinets were in great shape but looked dated because of the color. We chose the linen white with chocolate glaze for the perimeter and a dark walnut for the island and kitchen desk, we also had them update the powder room with the dark walnut- our kitchen and bathroom are completely transformed for a fraction of what new cabinets would have cost us. Plus, theres no higher quality wood in my opinion than oak, and the change we made was environmentally friendly which was a plus for us. They even replaced our hinges with the hidden kind that you see on new cabinets today. We contacted Nancy at Save Wood who came to our home with samples, great ideas and a knack for projects like ours. We took her advice on many fronts and she was incredibly helpful on all aspects of our kitchen remodeling job. We even had the chance to meet the owner, Mike. A real stand up guy who keeps his word and was extremely helpful with his own ideas. They were all very accessible throughout the project which went by very quickly. The entire staff was very friendly and courteous, and as I said, we would HIGHLY RECOMMEND SAVE WOOD! Were loving the compliments we get daily on the look of our kitchen and nobody can believe these are our same old cabinets. The only question now is, why didnt we do this sooner?!?!?! A top notch firm, with a fantastic staff who made customer service their #1 priority. Everyone we met went above and beyond to ensure we were completely satisfied. Its hard these days to find this type of customer service and craftsmanship and we got it all with Save Wood.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! During the painting process we told the owner, Mike Morrissey that we were concerned with drips on floor, paint on new appliances and previous color still showing through the new finish. My husband and I were told that we didnt have realistic expectations for refinished cabinets. As if spending $5000 on a project with dissapointing quality wasnt bad enough, Mr. Morrissey demanded payment in full before the job was completed. When we refused to pay before cabinet boxes were complete and the doors and drawers finished to our satisfaction, Mr. Morrissey pulled all the workers and kept our cabinet doors and drawers. We finally had to get our attorney involved to get Mr. Morrissey to send his workers back out with our cabinets doors. Once out to complete the job, they again demanded payment in full prior to completing the work. We finally just decided to pay since we had been without doors and drawers for around 8 weeks. After paying we realized that they tried putting white hinges on our black island doors and were hoping we wouldnt notice. When we pointed this out to the workers they called Mr. Morrissey and promised to bring out the proper hinges in a few days. That was over 2 weeks ago. Last week part of the paint began to peel off the cabinets. My husband left a message for Mr. Morrissey about this last week along with inquiring about the black hinges that we were forced to pay for in advance. Mr. Morrissey still hasnt returned that call. We would never under any circumstances recommend this company to anyone. I have never been forced to tears by a home improvement project before Save Wood.
