User Rating: 5 out of 5 stars by Priest 06/13/2011 Real Plumbers Where do I begin? My experience dealing with Convenient Plumbing has been totally amazing! I contracted Convenient in May 2011 to come into my home and correct disastrous plumbing issues another plumber had begun. The bathroom remodel at my home in my basement was on the brink of disaster and Convenient came to my rescue saving me days/nights of frustration, sleepless nights and extra money that I would have had to spend from the disaster clean up of ruined new carpeting and furnishings. I truly enjoyed working with the owner Ed and his son Jeremy. In fact, there may even be a new friendship budding. Although Im not too much into fishing, Im sure we can enjoy some other common interest even if no more than relaxing and enjoying a nice cold drink together. My experience with Convenient was very educational as well. I learned a lot about plumbing that I didnt know. Ed and Jeremy provided very thorough and patient teachings. They are also very proffessional, neat, trust worthy and cleaned up their work area each day. I even felt comfortable leaving them alone by themselves in my home for hours. A lesson learned and a message to the readers of this review..."You get what you pay for. Dont try to go the cheap route in this segment of your basement projects. It can be very costly in the end. Trust me!"Â Ive never been so confident in knowing that Ive received great value for my money spent on a job well done. Thanks to the very fine installation made by Convenient, my family and I are able to enjoy the beautiful new shower shown on photo #10 dated 6-1-2011. Thank you Ed and Jeremy. And yes, you guys are the friendliest plumbers in the entire Chicagoland area! Priest W Very Satisfied HomeOwner June 10, 2011

Just want to update my post to add that we have continued to use Ed for the three years since we first made this post. Every time Ed has come through for me. From leaking pipes to a new water softener, Ive trusted him for all my needs and will continue to use him in the future. ORIGINAL POST: Simply awesome. We had sewage backed up into the house from a clogged line just outside our foundation. I called Ed late at night. He had an existing dig job scheduled for the morning, and would be out in the afternoon. He called back minutes later to say that he understood how stressful this could be for a homeowner, and that he would make a special trip out, prior to going to the other dig job. Very professional. Would definitely use them again. Edit, Ed came back the next day with a corrected fitting for my clean out pipe, replaced it, and returned a $20 difference in part price!

I called Convenient plumbing on Thanksgiving all the water in my house had stopped flowing. Being on a well I expected the worst. Without running water we didnt even have toilets. I left a message expecting someone to get back to me the next day (it was thanksgiving day). Ed got back to me that day asked a bunch of questions and said he likely knew what the issue was. He said if he had had the part he would have come out on Thanksgiving. He came out early the next day and diagnosed the problem it was what he had expected and had the water running within 15 minutes. On top of that the price for the service call was extremely reasonable. Just want to Thank Ed for taking the time during a holiday to come help us out. I highly recommend Convenient and will be calling them again for any plumbing needs I have.

My water heater was leaking and needed to be replaced. It was still under warranty. I called the manufacturer and they told me the process of getting it replaced. I called a bunch of plumbers who had high ratings to do this job. No one would give me an estimate over the phone or could explain me how a warranty replacement works except for Ed at Convenient. He explained the process just like that manufacturer did. We negotiated a price over the phone. He came in on the time we made the appointment and did a good job. He charged me the same price we negotiated over the phone. Ed was jolly, neat and courteous and quite humorous. Other places I called were asking me a million questions on how a warranty replacement works. They should have already known as thats what they do.

Great "service with a smile"! Our dual kitchen sink finally backed up after years of garbage disposal use. We called Convenient Plumbing since they were local and had good reviews. We called, left a message and got a call back within 30 minutes to schedule the appointment. They came out the next morning to roto-root the entire pipe, fixing the issue. This father & son operation does not disappoint! Professional yet friendly and easy to talk to. Their prices are competitive and fair. We also had them out for the first time about a month ago to replace a valve for our new dishwasher water line. They were in and out in a jiffy and used quality parts, no garbage. Would definitely recommend and use again if needed.

We recently had Convenient come out to repair/replace an ejector pump. The father-son team showed up 10 minutes early, examined the problem, gave a reasonable estimate, replaced the pump. They were knowledgeable, pleasant, respectful and a pleasure to deal with. They went above and beyond what was required with the call, e.g. reconnecting our water softener. We also had a problem with a Kohler fixture in our bathroom; they called Kohler and ordered the part on our behalf (Kohler fixtures have a lifetime guarantee) and will return to install when the part comes in. We really appreciated their professionalism and knowledge. No hesitation to recommend this company and would use their service again in a heartbeat.

Thought I had an issue with my plumbing, I just bought a 110 year old home and had no water pressure in my kitchen sink. I thought I would have to change all my pipes to copper and was prepared to spend a small fortune. I called Ed with Convenient Plumbing and he came and took a look at my plumbing, instead of giving me a price to change over to copper he told me it was not necessary because my pipes were fine, all the issue was was a small o ring in the faucet!!! Ed changed that and now I have no issues at all!!! Instead of ripping me off for all new pipes (we are talking THOUSANDS) Ed said no reason to spend money unnecessarily. Thank you Ed

Convenient Plumbing is the "Jimmy Johns" of plumbers. I had a water heater problem and called Convenient Plumbing for service. I barely hung up the phone and my doorbell rang. It was Ed. Of course, he happened to be in the neighborhood when I called, but I was impressed anyway. Ed had to order a part, so he did a temporary repair that allowed me to use the water heater until the part arrived a week later. Ed called me during the week to confrim that my water heater was operating OK. When the part came, Ed and his son, Jeremy installed it quickly. Id recommend Convenient plumbing to anyone in my neighborhood. Thanks guys!

Ed and Jeremy from Convenient Plumbing replaced a toilet in my basement. I was impressed with Convenient Plumbing’s method of operation before the plumbing job ever began. Without me having to ask, drop cloths were put down to protect my carpeting from dirt getting tracked in. Ed & Jeremy were very professional, polite, and clean. The job was done quickly and at a reasonable price as was previously quoted in the estimate that was given to me prior to the start of the job. Based on my experience with Convenient Plumbing, they will be the only plumbers in my house from this point on should another plumbing need arise.
