If cost is any consideration, avoid this place. They will sell you on a cheap rate and quickly raise it after you spend the money to move things in. I chose it because it was close to my work so I liked the convenience. The cost was competitive enough at about $126 for a 10 x 20. After 4 months and having all of my things moved in, they raised the rate by nearly 40% to $174. It would take several hours and cost around $400 to move my things to another location, so the $50 price increase is just low enough to make me hesitate relocating to a more reasonable facility. All of the reviews about the people that work at this location are valid - they are friendly and helpful, but lets be honest, for a storage unit, other than signing the contract, how much interaction will you have with these people? Storage is about cost and location. Considering the fact that they know there is a high cost to change - they take advantage of their customers by having them move in under a teaser rate and quickly jack the price up. At the very least, if you plan to move here, expect your rates to go up $50 in the first few months ($600 increase on an annual basis). If this is still the place you choose, then this review is nothing to for you to worry about but if youre comparing price, please take this into account. Good luck!

I have a truck and a 10 by 20 storage unit. Recently the manager recommended that I take the space closest to the driveway so that when the snow comes I would have easier access to my truck. I thought that was excellent that she was thinking ahead in helping me going forward. Additionally, I hate cigarette buts and this facility is always clean from debris and most importantly cigarettes. I work a lot at the facility, so I am very happy that the bathroom is available and always clean. I dont know the names of the workers - I generally call them "New School" and "Old School" for obvious reasons. The are courteous, informative and professional. I have been at this facility for quite a while and things are consistently organized and clean. Thanks for the great support.

I applied for a storage unit at a time the it was seriously needed (August 2015). Delia was a TREMEMDOUS help and ensured that I got the best service and unit possible. At the time Lynette also worked with her and she was great. I have never had a bad experience with Extra Space since I have been renting from the company. I recently discovered that Kiki has come on board and she is great too!!! Kiki was concerned about my needs as a customer that she had NEVER met before. These ladies compliment each other and the company in an exceptional way!!! If I ever know anyone in need of Extra Storage I will be sure to recommend this particular company and location to them. Keep the well work going on Lovely Ladies!!!!

Extra Space Storage, I recommend high marks for Delia and Lynette at your South Holland faculty. Delia is a jewel and I recommend that you never move her from that facility. She has been such a force in helping me keep my business straight at Extra Space. She is so considerate and hospitable and she absolutely knows her business. She always finds ways to help me keep my account up to date, and Lynette is almost like a clone of Delia. When I call, I want to talk to no one other than Delia or Lynette. When I visit, I want to deal with no one but Delia and Lynette. I appreciate the both of them and hope that you show them how much you appreciate their service to Extra Space in South Holland. I have been storing here for years for my business and the service is completely wonderful! The two ladies that run the office always are so pleasant. They put all my boxes in my unit whenever I get a delivery and usually its 20 or more boxes with no complaints. They give me my friendly courtesy call to let me know that my deliveries have made it. They go out of the way to make sure I have everything that I need and are willing to offer more. This is customer service at its best!!!!! I will be storing here for even years to come and would recommend to anyone. Kudos to Delia and Lynette I will be sending more busy your way!!!!! Thank you, Tabatha

I rented a storage unit for a month at the south holland location. It was my first time using a storage unit and i was very nervous about what my experience would be like. I am deathly afraid of bugs and rodents. When I saw their reviews of cleanliness, I decided to go with them. Ms Kiki is super nice and super helpful. She really made me feel comfortable about my belongings. The storage unit was super clean and didnt have any weird smells. My month was pleasant with this unit. I would highly recommend this location if youre looking for a well ran, clean, professionally staffed storage facility.

Kiki and Delilah are the GREATEST employees!!! This company has no clue how valuable these two are...they are very knowledgeable and extremely considerate at all times!!! Never once have I had an issue with Extra Space and they werent able to accommodate my needs. I feel as though I know them in real life and weve only spoken over the phone!!! I truly truly appreciate the job these two go over and beyond to do!

Ive been a customer at the South Holland location for 6 years and I love it. The long hours of operation are are really great; they give flexibility when trying to access my unit. The facilties are always clean and well maintained; the security gates are definitely a plus. The manager and her staff are polite, courteous, and always helpful. This is a class - act establishment! I highly recommend them!!

Love this place! I have been with this facility for 4 years and I have never once regretted going with this company. Not only are they affordable but the staff is friendly, considerate and helpful. Delia and Lynette are good people and very good at understanding your needs no matter the circumstance. They are also military friendly, which is a plus for those who are moving in the while service.
