I was referred to Statik by a coworker. I have been trying to grow my hair out for quite some time and my hair is also fairly light and I have always had it dyed darker so my roots were coming in. I called and asked if they had an opening and they set me up with Andrea. My first impressions were not good even though I had a positive mind set going in. She never introduced herself. Just said my name and walked away and I was almost confused if I was suppose to keep sitting in the waiting area or follow like a dog? Then when I explained to her I was trying to go back natural (light) she said there was no way she could do that cause my hair was too dark. I instantly felt the need to say never mind and get up and go somewhere else. But I gave her the benefit of the doubt and asked if I could just go lighter brown then. So she didnt even discuss anything with me and just said brb. When she came back she didnt say anything and just started applying whatever color she felt like to my hair. Which I later found out only made my hair darker brown than it already was! So the whole time she doesnt try and have any type of conversation at all as I watch all her coworkers just having a ball with their customers. Then she actually hit me in the head at one point because she was in that much of a hurry she was trying to take off her gloves too fast. Then while sitting under the dryer I hear one of her coworkers talking about lightening her own hair ,and how it use to be way darker, to one of her clients. I wanted to be her client! I watched her connect with her clients on an awesome level while my hair dresser was busy telling me what she CANT and WONT do which is basically everything I came in there asking for! So then we get to the hair cutting part in which I obviously wanted to keep my length. I asked her about cutting it a certain way to where my waves tend to be more wavy when I just let it do its own thing. I was taken aback when she told me that she doesnt do that cause she doesnt think it looks good.... Yup. So in the end after having one of those experiences where I didnt get anything I wanted for the hard earned money I paid I left with my hair darker than when I went in there and she had decided to thin it out as well. Hair is hair and it will always grow back but from the way I was treated I will definitely NEVER be going back to that person in particular. If anything Im probably going to try and find out the name of her spunky coworker and ask for her next time or test my waters somewhere else!

The first time I went to Statik, Amber, my stylist, did an amazing job. I left the salon grinning from ear to ear. As Ive gone, my visits have gotten progressively worse. One chick chopped my bangs horribly and thinned my hair even though I didnt ask for it. I have very fine hair as is. Then the next time, Amber barely glanced at the picture I brought with. Needless to say, it turned out nothing like I expected, and it was not a pleasant surprise. Then once again I scheduled an appointment with Amber and lets just say my family and I joked about me having a mullet after that appointment until my hair finally grew out. Amber is more worried about getting her clients in and out than their satisfaction.

I have been going to Statik for more years than I can Imagine! We are a family of 4 and go their for all of our hair needs! I have thick naturally curly hair that has a mind of its own and all those natural colics! And the girls at Statik are the only ones that can make it look great! And not like i just crawled out of bed! My 17 year old daughter also uses them for all her hair care needs, and also their makeup and nails salon for prom, homecomings and weddings! And she is always the prettiest girl around! we will use Statik and recommend them to everyone, always!! thanks for being such a great place!!

Hair and facials are absolutely wonderful and very well done. Great service and exactly what I want! Would NOT recommend nails however. Unable to do what was desired and few color choices. Have to get them redone somewhere else now and out way more money than they deserved. Friendly and very nice, just not what I would recommend for nails.

As i am sitting in their parking lot... They do not take care of their customers. The hair dressers are in a rush and dont pay attention to the details of your hair style. This is after one experience with 3 members of a wedding party but it would probably prevent me from coming back again.

I actually really like Andrea, and have had great outcomes with my hair going to her. She is very fun and bubbly. I had long hair, which was also very damaged. I was nervous about getting it cut, but she did a great job and even made suggestions and it turned out wonderful. I recommend her.

I have gone to Statik since they opened in Rock Falls years ago. The atmosphere is always great, and my hairstylist, Eddie, is the only person who has EVER been able to get my hair to look the way I wanted it to! I would recommend Statik to everyone:)
