Update to my review: I changed my rating from 1 star to 3 stars. I finally was contacted by the owner. We had a very good discussion. I appreciated her for being upfront with me regarding the situation. She was very apologetic and did, in fact, send me a refund for the bad experience. I believed her when she told me she will use this experience as a tool for her staff to improve the experience for future customers. I anticipate that if you go here your experience will be better than mine. Thanks to the owner for righting the wrongs! Please pay attention to all the 1s on these reviews! What they say is true! I wish I had known to look here first! This company is not interested in righting their wrongs. I wrote them a pleasant letter indicating all the bad things about my experience at their salon. One, I did not receive my 35% discount as a new customer. Two, I was not given a tour nor was I offered coffee or wine. (Apparently wine is only offered to customers who come often!) Three, the stylist left huge color stains all over my hairline and let me leave looking ridiculous. I addressed all these things and more in my letter to the owner. The only response I received was an apology. They did not offer any money back or offer to refund money for my new customer discount. They didnt offer any compensation for the stain on my hairline. They actually told me in their response letter that "we have obviously not been able to make you happy"...well the problem was they didnt even try. Now, I know people make mistakes but when you do you need to Man Up! and own them and make it right. Im not one to believe the customer is always right but in this case they should have taken responsibility for their errors and offered to fix what was wrong! The owner has chosen to blow me off and ignore my letters! They have not done anything to resolve the situation except to ignore it! All I wanted was to be acknowledged and shown that they were concerned and refund me what they owe me. I wanted my 35% discount as stated on their website. Then I wanted a percentage in return for the mess on my hairline. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE!! There are plenty of other salons in Avon and the surrounding area that will treat you better and do the right thing! This was supposed to be the "Best experience of your day" according to their tagline on their website. Dont fall for it! Its just a line. I went as a gift to myself for my birthday. Not one person read my paperwork and acknowledged that it was my birthday. When you leave a salon you should feel pampered and happy. This place will make you feel left out and confused and frustrated because you spent so much money. I spent well over $100 and did not have anything close to a $100 experience! If you value good service then dont go here!

Cass & Co Salon in Avon, IN is hands down one of THE best salon choices you can make. I have been a loyal customer since its inception in 2001, have referred many people to the salon and will continue to do so. The staff is accommodating, friendly and extremely professional. You begin to feel like they are your extended family, which is just the way they like it! Their mission statement says it all, and most importantly, has held up over the course of time: Mission Statement "Our goal is to create a feeling of warmth, welcome and comfort in a place that provides quality and creative services while being the best in the eyes of our guest, team members and the community. We will always strive to build long-term guest and employee relationships based on mutual respect and loyalty." It is extremely unfortunate the rash of negative and nasty reviews all in the last week. Obviously someone is out for a smear campaign. Sad that they have resorted to calling upon others who have zero connection to the salon to help spread their twisted garbage. I can imagine JUST the type of girl this was in school- Im sure mommy/daddy always fought her battles. Now she has minions. You all need to learn to think for yourself, and young lady, YOU need to grow up. For those of you who are reading these reviews for a clear, honest opinion of the salon, I sincerely hope you look past the disgruntled little lady and her minions. I challenge you to make an informed choice the best way possible...by trying it! I have 100% confidence that you will come away from your visit happy, satisfied, and a NEW CUSTOMER! :)

The employees were mean! They humiliated someone that came in for a redo and made her CRY! Her underside of her hair had roots that were inches long and the rest was straight blonde and the lady doing her hair said "I didnt know you were going to wear your hair up...." Seriously?! Why would that matter when it comes to doing a good job? She had long hair and its summer.... I will never go back after seeing them do this. They spoke to her loudly when the salon had no blowers going about how even though the first time she had to have it fixed it definitely wasnt done right that since this was the second time she had had an issue with her hair they would charge her full price if she ever needed something redone again. Then they wouldnt even blow her hair completely dry because they would charge her $25 for it. She left looking like a mess because they only dried her roots. As she was leaving the manager glared at her while responding to her question of whether she needed to do anything else and said to her employees nearby "Thats the redo girl....(then looked back at the lady and said) You can go." Every person standing at the front desk stared at her until she disappeared from sight. I was humiliated FOR her. It was very sad and painful to watch. The woman seemed so sweet and didnt cause a scene at all. I have a bad taste in my mouth now and I just cant go back. What if I ever need something redone? Would I be treated the same?

Luckily for their sake, they require that you give at least one star or theyd have none in my opinion. This salon treats their customers horribly! If youre wanting to get your hair colored, make sure that you make two appointments because youre definitely going to be coming back for a re-do. OH, and then after your re-do youll be humiliated and bullied by the staff, including the managers. Even after two times of trying to get the desired color (highlights and lowlights) it will still come out streaky with roots underneath about 4 inches long. Unlike any other professional stylist, they wont admit their wrongs when its clearly obvious.. they will say that you should have told them youd be wearing your hair up.. AS IF THAT FRIGGIN MATTERS! They then proceed to tell you, as a customer PAYING for THEIR services, that the next time youll need a re-do that it will be full price. They allow their customers to leave their salon with only the roots dry and still no success at fixing their wrongs. All around poor business and customer service. NOT the right way to handle something that one of your employees screwed up REPEATEDLY! Take this advice and go somewhere else. The massage and wine aint worth your humiliation or the gas that it takes to drive back and forth hoping to correct the jacked up color that they do.
