I took my Jeep Wrangler here because it was leaking a little bit of coolant. The previous owner of the Jeep took it here initially to have the radiator, thermostat, and 4 freeze plugs replaced. When I purchased the Jeep it was still leaking coolant so this is why I took it back here because I still had the work order and receipt. After Widener looked at the Jeep (the second time) they said the waterpump was leaking and quoted me $600 to have the waterpump and serpentine belt replaced. I went ahead and it had it replaced even though that price is outrageous ( I was very busy with work at this time otherwise I would have replaced it myself). The leak stopped. I drove the Jeep for another 2-3 weeks and the coolant leak came back. After closely looking, it was leaking from one of the expansion plugs. The waterpump should have never been replaced. This could have been determined by actually doing a pressure check of the cooling system. I essentially wasted $600 because Widener automotive did not properly diagnose the real issue. Also, expansion plugs are garbage. They come loose overtime and it was just a shotty job performed by Widener Automotive in the first place. I am not sure if they were just using Radiator stop leak or what but I had to do a full flush of my cooling system to get all of that junk out. After the full flush, I was able to tighten the expansion plugs myself and all of the leaks went away. It has been 8 months and no leaks. I understand Batesville is a smaller town and that there are not very many car repair shops but I would avoid this place and drive a little farther out of the way to find a quality shop.

Very professional, fast service and only fixed what was broken. Its been a long time since I went to an auto repair center with one thing broken and that is all they fixed.Usually a repair place will tell me I need ten things. Widener fixed what was broken and made my van with 190,000 miles run like new. The prices were reasonable and I had my van back by lunch. The office was very clean and everything was handled in a professional manner. I had never been there before, but I will be returning for preventive maintenance as well as future repairs.

If you are looking for a quality mechanic this is the place. Ive had everything from oil changes to suspension work to having a new motor put in. They are very knowledgeable and do great work. I always leave happy and know my car was serviced right. The best thing about them is the customer service. Even for a simple oil change the call and ask how it went. You dont find that anywhere anymore and its the main reason we keep going back. I would recommend them to anyone and every one I know.

Good prices, excellent service! Ive taken vehicles to Wideners on multiple occasions and the experience has always been good. They give accurate estimates and if the work comes in under the estimate, they dont pad the result, you pay the actual amount. I have no complaints with their work. They keep you in the loop and follow up after youve had a chance to drive the vehicle for a while. The staff are always courteous and helpful. I highly recommend them.

Id heard great things about this business but when I called for quote I was very disappointed. To be fair they hadnt seen my car. However the quote I got to replace my radiator was 650.00. No thanks I got it done for 374.00 at Lees Garage in Greensburg. I even asked the Widnener associate twice just to be sure I heard them right and they said well it for a 3.5 and its a older car 2007 Camry so expensive part and you have to take the whole front end off.

I had car trouble driving from Cincinnati to Denver where my engine problem light started flashing and the car started to jerk. I went to Widener Automotive and they were so nice to diagnose the problem. They fit us in a very busy schedule so that we could be on our way. Jim and Richard are professional, courteous, and honest to a fault.
