Dont waste your time. I had this company out to "diagnose" an underground sump pump drain from my house out to a storm sewer about 25 away. The line was not working, so was either clogged or broken. I was to pay them $79 for this diagnosis. The rep discussed it with us, went to his truck to write a quote for 45 minutes, then handed us an estimate of over $4,000 and said you need a new pipe installed. That will be $79.00. When we stated that he didnt actually do anything, and for $79 he needed to get a camera into the line to see what was going on, he did so reluctantly. After running the camera, he estimated where the issue might be. When asked how much it would be to dig up just that spot and repair the issue, off the cuff he said $2,000 and it would only be a band-aid. Yes, $2,000 to dig a single hole. He also said he would undoubtedly tear up our irrigation system to install the new pipe, and wed have to have the irrigation company out to repair it (More $$$). We just had another company out who quoted $1,800 to put in a brand new drain line completely and also said if they run into our irrigation system, they would gladly repair it as part of the work since they would have broken it (imagine that!). They also laughed when we told them we basically paid a company $79 to give us a quote for work. Dont fall for it like I did if you have an issue thats difficult to pinpoint. Any reputable company will come out and help you figure it out in hopes of EARNING your trust and business for years to come.

My sump pump stopped working during a storm on a saturday night when all of the hardware stores were closed. Within an hour of my phone call to Mr. Plumber, Larry Metzler arrived to replace the pump. Prices were a bit high, but that is to be expected of an after-hours call. Larry was very friendly and professional, I never felt like he was trying to push unnecessary products onto me. He offered me a few different back-up sump pump options as well, which were all $1200+. Im a cheap do-it-yourself kind of guy, so I declined and bought a unit from Home Depot and did it myself for about $400. The primary pump replacement and service call ended up costing about $700, which included a service agreement provided by Williams comfort Air. I was supposed to receive an inspection/tune-up on my furnace before the heating season and another one for my AC before the cooling season. Needless to say, I forgot about these tune-ups and nobody from Williams ever called me to schedule the services. That would be my only complaint. They were great when I needed them in a pinch, but failed to deliver on the other services that I paid for. No biggie, Ill just use a different company for my HVAC equipment. Overall, it the experience was what I expected it to be. Anytime you call a contractor out to your house, its not going to be cheap, and I understand that. Mr. Plumber is competent and honest.

Called early morning and set up an appointment at 4pm to have a clogged kitchen sink fixed. Hadnt received a call or notice of the technician running late by 4:45, so I called the main office. I was told the technician had me next in his work order and a phone call would be made before he arrived. I called again at 5:45 when he had not called. I was told he would call when he was on his way. At 6:30, the technician knocked on my garage door (which meant he went inside my open garage instead of going to my front door) without calling. He came in and asked some basic questions about the problem (did you pour grease down the sink?), looked under the sink for 2 minutes without touching anything and told me he was going out to the truck to write an estimate. He came back with 4 options, the lowest cost being $311 to snake my kitchen sink drain and provide some type of draino material. (The most expensive was $360) He said he would waive the inspection fee if I purchased a service plan. I told him I wouldnt be using his services because of the prices (not to mention the lack of courtesy). He explained that he would then have to charge me the $79 service fee (for doing approximately 5 min. of "work"). It was late and I was so frustrated with the lack of professionalism of the company that I wrote a check and asked him to leave. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

I changed the valves and hardware in my bathtub and then had almost zero water pressure when I was done. I re did everything but it was time to throw in the towel. Mr. Plumber helped me find the diverter in the back that was plugged up, he washed it out for me and I have had the best water pressure since. Now unfortunately he washed it out into my sink, causing the drain to slow. When I tried to snake it myself it got clogged. I called Mr. Plumber a little frustrated and time pressured with guests coming in 4 hours and they got a technician to me in an hour and charged me nothing because it had been there fault. Some other reviewers seem to think they are very expensive, unfortunately that is just the standard with air and plumbing service. They are an honest company and will get the job done right.

Laundry pipes frozen and busted. Thought they were fast to arrive on job but took 3 hours to "fix" pipe with a brass fitting. Heated the copper pipe way too long and had to cut it 3 times before the brass idea. Then 3 days later, the SAME pipe busted and they said it frozen again (wasnt even close to temps from 3 days prior) and they wanted to charge me MORE the second time to correct the problem. Then when I asked them why they didnt suggest PEX pipes, they had no idea what that was!!! A plumber should know what the best material to use on an outside wall. NO respect for them as they made my problem worse and my family lived without running water for more than 72 hours in the dead of winter.

Weve had Metzlers out here several times to do everything from replacing a water heater (with tankless), replacing plumbing, installing a new kitchen sink and faucet with new plumbing, and installing new valves at the washer. They are always very responsive--even late at night when we found the water heater leaking in the basement (and were not previous customers at the time). The work is top notch and the people quite knowledgeable. We will continue to use them in the future. Recently we started using the HVAC side of the company too--Williams Comfort Air--and have been thrilled with that service also, after having both our furnace and A/C replaced on the same day.

This place runs a borderline scam. Even if you know exactly what you need, they refuse to give any kind of rough estimate of what theyll charge you to get it done. Instead, they want to charge you $80 to have someone come "assess" your issue. So the person comes, does the "assessment", and proceeds to give you an estimate thats quite a bit higher than the local competition. Of course, if you chose to go with them, they apply this little scam fee of theirs to the final bill. So you get to pay their higher amount, or kiss your $80 goodbye as wasted effort on your part. Avoid.
