Gettum Associates, Inc. (GAI) is the answer for any design & remodeling venture. I had the pleasure to engage GAI for a remodel of unused Dining Room space which was to be transformed into a fine ‘cigar lounge’ and bar. If a homeowner is considering remodeling any part of their home, I encourage them to contact Mr. Dave Watson (Sales Manager) without haste! If a homeowner wants a detailed, fantastic, exquisite and respectful contractor, then GAI is the only choice! GAI is EVERYTHING every other contractor isn’t! GAI workers are respectful of your home & property while at the same time able to provide superior attention to detail and quality craftsmanship. The communication, project drawings, and people have been on point from initial contact to project completion! I’ve had other contractors in my home for various remodels over the past few years only to be disappointed with how disrespectful of my home, property & belongings were to them. The workmanship was usually above average….but to get it all in one company is the hallmark of GAI! I only wish I had met GAI in years ago. I would never have considered another contractor (& never will moving forward). GAI are artisans with workmanship down to the last detail!! I had the pleasure to first meet with Mr. Dave Watson, (Design & Sales) who came to my home at a time convenient to me to discuss my intentions of designing a ‘cigar lounge and bar’. Although smoking is not ‘PC’ these days, Mr. Watson was receptive to my plan without missing a beat. Dave was professional, friendly, knowledgeable & above all helpful! At the initial meeting, we went over what I had in mind. He was encouraging as to what he believed GAI could (or could not) do….but mostly do!! Within a couple of days, I became more amazed when I had the chance to speak and meet with Ms. Amy Berndt (Designer) about my project. I couldn’t be more pleased with her professional demeanor & friendliness. She & I discussed the project in more detail with expectations & realistic possibilities. We discussed light fixtures, placement of furniture, colors, wood installation, in short…everything! Prior to project initiation, I met with Mr. Ray Hensley (Lead Carpenter & Project Manager), Dave & Amy to go over final directions. Ray was instrumental during this briefing. Ray outlined expected timeframes, delivery of materials & placement of same. This project was completed on time & within budget with little to no left ‘excess materials’. In other words, I didn’t pay for unnecessary materials that just ended up as scrap or in the back of someone’s truck. When I occasionally stopped by the home (for unrelated tasks), I had the luck to meet with several of the Carpenters, Paint & Stain Workers & Electrician! I really could not believe my good fortune to have so many qualified & quality people working day in & day out on my project! Everyone was thoroughly engaged & passionate about their jobs. You could hear the enthusiasm in their voice & see the enthusiasm in their final work. The people at GAI love what they do and it shows. I have built 2 homes & have been through multiple remodeling projects over the years, so I do have a basis for comparison. The exuberance of this Company & their workers is like nothing I have ever personally seen. Too bad this rating has only ‘5 stars’! I would rate Gettum Associates, Inc. with at least 99…& go up from there.

We were beyond pleased with the professionalism and workmanship we experienced with Gettum Associates! During our initial meeting about our kitchen and first floor remodel, Dave Watson, took time to hear and understand our vision. He then introduced us to Amy Berndt, and between the two of them, their creative expertise allowed our vision to become a reality. They were meticulous in creating a blueprint as well as showing us our plans in 3D!! In addition, having Amy to guide us through the selection process of colors, countertops, flooring, etc. was also extremely helpful. Jessie Bullock, was our lead carpenter, and he was great about communicating with us on the day to day status of the project. He also worked extensively in our home alongside other vetted contractors he coordinated. We were very impressed by the level of professionalism shown, as well as how respectful everyone was of our home. Even through the final walk-through, we felt that all of the Gettum Associates staff paid attention to the details and our project was done in a timely manner! We have and will continue to highly recommend Gettum Associates for any remodeling project!

We recently worked with Gettum to have our Kitchen remodeled and it was a great experience. At the start we went over what we were looking to accomplish and they had us outline our must haves and nice to haves, along with our budget. They came back with an initial plan that had everything that we were looking, and things we didnt even know to ask for, in a few variations for us to narrow down exactly what we wanted. They took care to ensure their design plans were within our budget and detailed what was in the number, along with allowances for cabinets, tile backsplash, counters, lighting, etc. so we could easily make our selections and know how they would impact the bottom line. At the start of construction, they shared a web based project calendar with all of the tasks and timelines so we could quickly see what was happening and when, along with the big picture of the progress, and the finish line. Their attention to detail, experience, people, and advice assured us at every step that we had picked the right partner for this project. We would absolutely use Gettum in the future.

This company does good work. Our closet project turned out well, but it was pretty expensive. They cleaned up well, and they didnt dawdle, which is great.
