I bought a 1964 Galaxie 500 to restore, and took it around to at least 6-8 restoration shops for bodywork and paint estimates this past spring. The car is very solid and the body was in overall very good shape, with just a couple of small rust areas to repair. The main issue was that a previous paint job had severe cracking/crazing all over. So the entire body needed stripping. Now, a lot of the places I took the car to were top end places, but I had difficulty getting them to focus on what I actually wanted done, which was to prep (strip) and paint the car, including trunk, door jambs, under hood, door sills, and lower part of the metal dash to the original factory red. Most places wanted to give a price to include the interior (upholstery, carpet, door panels, etc.) which I preferred to do myself. One place wanted to not only do the interior but also rebuild the engine, all for about $30K. Another stated if they did the job, they would be removing the doors, trunk lid and hood and stripping them in a chemical tank. Obviously the timeframe estimates for this work was in months. I stopped in Trinity Body Shop because Id seen online they mentioned doing restoration work. The price I got from the owner was BY FAR the lowest quote Id received and he said he could have it done in about a week. I was skeptical. I wanted the work done right, not just paint sprayed over the top of the old, failing paint. We went over the whole car. Steve listened to what I wanted, and pointed out what all would be done. I was clear that my main concern was the prep work. I considered it for about a week and finally decided to go with this body shop. Steve has his own paint mixing system onsite and we went with the original factory red, but in a base/clear. I stopped by every day or so to watch the progress and make sure the stripping was going as I expected. This was all done by hand with DA sanders. I had removed the interior myself, and the crew at the shop removed the rear window and trim as well as the bumpers, door handles, etc. There was a small amount of body side trim left on because we agreed these particular 50 year old pieces were fragile and would likely get bent in the process. In the end, I cant tell any difference around the pieces that were left on - no sign of the old paint and no paint on the trim. I have to say Im completely happy with the results. The car looks beautiful! Everything we discussed had been done, and I know the work was done right because I verified it myself as it was in progress. Steve was very easy to work with, has been in the field for a long time, and is really engaged in, and takes pride with, his work. I think the job ended up taking about 10 days. The guys working there really know their trade. If you have a restoration project, I definitely recommend you check out this old school body shop. Especially if you dont have an unlimited budget.

Trinity Body Shop worked on my car for 1/4 of what all the other shops I called charge!! Literally!!! Steven was VERY friendly and they did a great job on my car to boot! I highly recommend, this was my first time with them, I happened to stumble onto their number through Google maps, and boy am I glad I did! I will be going here from now on for all my auto needs!

They fix the damage part ,but they damage the paint on other parts of the car .they fail to cover the rear tail lights ,they spray paint on the lights, ruining my bumper paint And tail lights , Just negligence and sloppy kinda expensive too.
