The first stylist (who was sweet, but was having a really hard time with color) really screwed my hair up. She asked me if Id be willing to come in the 2nd time to let her fix it and I said yes because it wasnt at all what I wanted. Shed dyed it twice and bleached it two days in a row and made it an awful mess. It wasnt as noticeable since she curled it and with their bad lighting, but when I got home I called them crying telling them what happened. The top half was black and the bottom half was bleach blonde (I came in with my natural light brown/dark blonde hair). They told me (both on the phone and through voicemail) that if I gave them a 3rd chance theyd fix it and refund me everything, tip and all. I come back a couple of days later (third time) and Amy fixed my hair like magic. Shes a great stylist. I dont know how on earth she fixed this because I knew it was a lost cause. I had imagined having to completely bleach the rest of my hair to get back to any kind of normal/natural brown. She was able to fix it with some subtle highlights and lowlights and magic Im convinced. Anyway, so I get to the checkout counter because I want to tip Amy since she saved my hair. I asked about the refund- since at this point my hair has been colored and bleached 3 times in 5 days. I came in with extremely healthy, soft hair and now it feels very brittle and dry. Its just not my same hair. The owner came to talk to me about the refund and said shed call her sister (another owner). In the mean time she sent me in the boutique side so she could converse with her sister. She comes over and explains it is EITHER a refund OR get it fixed. So, basically I can get my hair to look like I wanted it the first time I came in, but I had to spend 9 hours in their salon between three different days and come out with really damaged hair and pay full price + two tips. She even went so far as to give me a "free" bottle of shampoo to help my hair to get me to hush. Im usually a pushover in these situations and just walk away, but in this instance I felt I had every right to get my money back considering what theyd done to my hair and how long it took. I let her listen to the voicemail that I luckily saved, and even then she waved it off basically saying the receptionist didnt know what she was doing (even though the receptionist had just talked to an owner right before calling me). I stood there so embarrassed not knowing what to do, and finally a couple of stylist agreed with me that they heard the receptionist say that to me on the phone. The owner, who didnt seem happy at this point, huffed and took the money out of the drawer and handed it to me. $10 short. I asked her and she was extremely adamant I wasnt getting my full refund back since the $10 was a tip, even though the receptionist said "you will get your refund for the service plus any tip you gave." She even said, "I guess well have to talk to the receptionist about what is acceptable to say and what not to say" and "shes just a receptionist." What an awful way to view your employees that keep your business running. She apparently felt it was worth it to squabble over that $10, and I was totally embarrassed and so frustrated because Im not one to demand anything so I just left. Every stylist I interacted with was so very nice. Even the first girl who gave me the bad color job was very sweet and truly wanted to fix her mistakes. As much as I want Amy to continue doing my hair, Im not sure I could support this kind of greed.

I always seem to have the worst experiences with getting my hair done. After deciding I wanted my brown hair back from black I knew I probably need it professionally done so I looked and asked around and landed upon this salon... I called and scheduled a consultation I was estamated at about $100.00 for color correction with I was fine with and came back a week later for my appt. she started off by bleaching my hair, she kept asking the other hair dressers if "everything look ok" and "what should I do" I was a little nervous about how many questions where being asked but pushed it off... She then asked me what color of brown I wanted to put in my hair and I said about a tone 5 or 7 and she blow dryed my bleached hair and began to apply the color. Once applied the hair dye turned bright red and she began to get worried and asked others if everything was gonna turn out ok. They said yes. I started getting really worried at this point. After being blow dryed and cut and styled my hair was pretty much red. I payed and left a little pissed off. I got home and my hair was uneven, red, and you would see a line around around my head where my regrow was a lighter red then the rest of my head. I evened up my hair by my self and just planed to box dye it. My mom called the next morning and complained and we went back to get my hair fixed. She was then very rude and informed me "you cant go light brown" I said I know and just wanted the red out and she scoffed at me and said "well the swatch you picked yesterday had a red undertone to it.. So I mean. Its whatever I guess. Ill just have to redo it" and rolled her eyes. She was extremely rude and ignored my mom who tried to make small talk and was just all around the whole visit. After she applied the brown hair dye she said see you in 35 mins and went to the back leaveing me sit in the chair with hair dye on my my face and part of my eyebrow about 5-10 mins later my mom began to get worried that the dye was Going to stain my face and my eyebrow (which is very light) the women doing another costumers hair next to me said "I was looking at that" and walked over and wiped the hair dye off my face and it still didnt come off and ended up staining a little part of my face and eyebrow... She came back and rinsed my hair out and then blow dryed and said "there" and sent me on my merry way. The manager called me later and left a voicemail asking if everything went ok so Ill have to call her back. But I will more then likely not return to this salon. I expected more from the high reviews.

I have never had a stylist listen to me and try so hard to achieve what I wanted as Natalie did last Friday, and she was just fitting me in last minute as well! I was getting my hair cut short because I damaged it with color, but when she got done I couldnt believe how much I loved the cut! I may stick with short hair because it looks sooooo good! Plus the salon is really top notch and all of the staff is friendly and genuinely seem to want the customer to have a great experience!
