*UPDATE* 15 Jan 2015 - If you read this update, and "still" decide to give ANY USPS building your money: YOU DESERVE WHAT HAPPENS! I paid $5.96 two days ago, on a Wed evening, to send important signed documents to my Attorney, 30 miles away, in Chicago, via: ONE DAY PRIORITY MAIL. His office is now closed for the 3 day extended weekend! 6 days to go 30 miles to Chicago? USPS, you, are a disgrace to the reputation of our Nation.... THIS IS THE LAST TIME USPS! If something goes through there, I automatically go to USPS and put an email watch on the package. It goes there and just sits in limbo. ========================(UPDATE 26/JUNE/2014)======================== Its not getting better, its getting worse! I had a package worth $131.17 go missing last week.... It was marked as delivered, but never arrived. First, I was told it was put in my doorway. When I checked my 2 video cameras I saw that 2 mail vehicles parked across the street from my house for over 4 minutes and never crossed the street to deliver the box of tools Id bought online. After calling again, they now said the package was put in the mailbox. After a week of being told they could not find the package, they refused to change the status to: NOT DELIVERED. I filed a claim with the postal inspectors office and another with USPS. The postal inspectors website does not have a way to accept video evidence! "HOW" do you expect to "fully" investigate mail theft, a Federal crime? The USPS office called me to say: The highest authority at the Portage Branch sees NO REASON to view my video evidence, since the carrier has stated that he delivered the box of tools to my mailbox!!! I post this feedback to hopefully warn you (public) about the sorry state of degradation in USPS! PLEASE, feel free, to draw your own conclusions as to what happened to my $131.17 box of tools and what will happen if you try to make an insurance claim after you paid for the insurance! Thank you Pay Pal, for deciding to reimburse me for my loss, even though the post office has decreed the missing package delivered. I urge you to make an educated decision, when deciding who should ship your next parcel or important mail....

In store service is awful, and the drivers are worse. In the last 3-5 months Ive had numerous packages delivered to my neighboring apartment units when our doors are clearly marked. Ive checked tracking#s that said "notice left at door", but there is nothing on the door or mailbox and my neighbors havent received anything either. A few ladies even open the screen door, THROW the package against the door, then slam the screen door shut (causing broken closers on screen doors). When you open the door to say something, or you yell at them because they ignore you, they just keep walking to the truck and continue to ignore you. Then when you call to complain to the postmaster general they dont give a rat either. They say "Ill have a talk with the crew" every time. Well, this has been going on for 2 years now and about 6 months ago so got tired of it and started writing reviews. This is an updated review, made on 12/9/16.

I spoke to a few employees at this post office throughout a little over a weeks time span - I was able to speak to someone courteous who actually seemed concerned that nobody could seem to find my $105 package, unfortunately he was an employee and not a supervisor. Long story short - Lisa was extremely off putting in the way that she spoke to me as if I was a child and inconveniencing her day. I spoke with her manager today who excused her behavior because she was "probably busy" and when I inquired about higher up management I could put in a complaint to he told me that the complaint would simply come back to him. Lastly, he told me I "shouldnt count on" the mail forwarding system to actually get my mail to me. How wonderful, right? (this isnt even half of whats wrong here, but I cant waste my day complaining about something that wont change)

Nothing more disheartening than walking in to see 1 clerk and 8 people in line. No one seems to be concerned with the wait times. Boggles my mind how they get away with such a lackadaisical attitude. ITS CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE. Try it sometime. Its called HUSTLE. Try it sometime. If its expected of me at my job, I expect it of you at yours.

I keep having people from completely different locations coming to my home with packages the USPS delivered to the wrong addresses! This happens all of the time and now I just found they delivered my new laptop (which i absolutely needed ASAP) 5 days ago to the wrong address and I have no idea where! These people are complete morons.

One person working the counter with a line almost out the door. Lady had no sense of urgency. Never apologized for the wait. But why should they care? They know people wont go somewhere else.

Much inconsistency and confusion among drivers. Packages are lost or delivered to wrong address 3 out of 5 times. Lost items are written off, and apologies are few and far between.

They are lazy and rude. Nine people in line , one clerk who just doesnt care. Also they wont help you with anything . I go to the valpo or wheeler one now .
