My husband and I would recommend Honest Abe Roofing to anyone thinking about a new roof or siding. Our home was in desperate need of a new roof (total tear off) and siding and we knew it was not going to be a small project. They were very good with giving us different options of roofing and siding material that would fit our budget and give our home the new look we wanted. Their financing option was also great for us. Yes they can be a little higher than some other local companies but you also get what you pay for. The workers were great and polite. They worked through all kinds of weather (mostly heat) and kept the project on time and actually finished it in a couple weeks vs a couple months other places told us. They took short breaks and someone was always working. They have a large crew that works on your improvements not just 2-3 guys. Every night our yard was free of debris and all building materials were organized and trapped. We did not end up with any dead spots in our yard due to the supplies since they always moved them. We have dogs so I was worried about nails but every night that was part of the cleanup process. They were careful with our landscape and even my tomatoes plants by the house. They took time to protect them with wood coverings. They did all finishing touches such as installing our new outside lights, mail box, house numbers and awnings after the siding and roof were done. They also removed an old damaged chimney when they did the roof. The roofing shingles and siding materials were great quality. Our house looks so nice now. It went from pepto pink to white with a green roof. There was such a big change that even some of our friends have driven by our house and missed the turn. Again we were very pleased with all the work done by them.

My husband and I had a great experience with Honest Abe Roofing. I had some pretty extensive work done - removal of some old box vents that were replaced with ridge vents, as well as the removal of an old chimney. We also had the garage roof done, which I had kept putting off, so it really needed it. I told them what I wanted and what I wanted to spend, and the estimate came really close to what I had in mind within a couple of thousand dollars. The two men from Honest Abe who came to my home (Phil and Im so sorry, I cant remember the other guys name) listened to what I wanted, and even told me that I could put off what I wanted to do for awhile, that some repairs would put me in great shape. I thought that was great, but I decided to go for it and replace everything on my house and garage. My new roof is fantastic! It doesnt look like the same house, and we are getting lots of compliments from the neighbors. Coco and his crew were very considerate and efficient. He even took the time to speak with me and double check with me on a couple of things. The guys were on the roof working within five to ten minutes of pulling into my driveway, and barely took a lunch break. I had a big job for them to do, and it took just two working days. The crew had to move some landscape lighting, a bird feeder, and a bird bath. Everything was put back exactly the way I had it when they finished, and everything was cleaned up. I didnt find any nails in the yard or my driveway. Overall, a great experience and Im really pleased with their work.

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!!!!!! "Honest"?! Guaranteed customer satisfaction?! Well I have a guarantee from me to them: I will NEVER EVER do business with this company for any kind of project. Pushy salesman (asked to be able to go over contract for a few days and he replied that he needed an answer when he was there so that he didnt waste more money making another trip), outrageous prices triple over other competitors for what little work was done (this came from their own contractor!), inconsiderate of customers schedule (was away on vacation when they decided to come by to do the work after we waited for three months and when a problem came up, they kept calling and wanted an answer right away even after we asked them to wait til we got back from vacation which caused a ruined vacation filled with stress and worry for what we would come back to), not willing to help correct the issue unless we paid them more money and most of all, blamed the customer for the "supposed miscommunication"!!! Beware!! The only reason to pick this company for any work is if you like to be screwed over or in other words, to spend your hard earned money that you saved up to do the whole project get drained for only half of the project to be done and if you like to deal with unhelpful people.

I regret the day we made contact with this company. They installed a roof on our home about 3 months ago. We now have damage to the interior of our home and the roof looks worse now than before. They are paid in full and we cant get them to fix the problems. I have called numerous times. A "roofer" showed up, but never at the scheduled time. In fact, he worked on the leak they created but did it during a thunderstorm. Hard to fix a leak without creating more damage in the pouring rain. Roof is sagging, damage to my eaves due to them using nails that were too long, and the new shingles are already lifting up. Anybody up for joining in a lawsuit? I would love for the owner to come look at the shoddy work and damage his employees did to our home. We live in Vincennes on Old Orchard Road - come by and look what they did to our roof. Just look for the sagging roof and lifting shingles.

I didnt like the experience with the salesman. His lowest bid was approx. 50% higher than my next highest bid. But.....he was offering better materials. The first question asked was how much do you want to spend...which, knowing this, he should have only priced materials to me that fit my spending needs. The first bid that he gave me was $9000 higher than what I had told him I wanted to spend. Im sure that that would have probably been a fair bid, but he didnt really listen to what I wanted...just kept telling me how much better this would be...and that would be...and how much better a guarantee I would get. My fault for getting caught up in his excitement. Im not saying that they are bad company...Im just saying that be prepared for the sales pitch. I am not purchasing from them at this time.

We had been talking about a new roof for some time and kept putting it off. Then...IT happened. A storm caused damage that required a fast fix. Honest Abe came quickly after the call. They assessed the damage and gave a thorough explanation of options. They tarped the problem areas to keep from additional damage. The roof was installed without issue and we received a call after asking about our satisfaction. We received constant communication through the entire process and all we encountered were professional. Two years later we have sold the home (happy to have a nice roof to provide to next owners) and will certainly use Honest Abe again when it comes time for a new roof on our new home.
