I dont care how many agents you interview and like, you want Cathy Russell as your agent, hands down. When the house that you’re buying or selling is hinged on time sensitive deadlines, Cathy is available around the clock and she works hard for you. The selling of our home came down to a second offer that arrived 30 minutes prior to our response deadline for the first offer (on a Saturday). She dropped whatever she was doing to devote her full attention to us for those ticking minutes. Her availability, knowledge, and connections are absolutely priceless. Our home sold hours after listing (over asking price), and we were able to buy our dream home from a seller in a situation where the spouse did not want to sell. Both situations were a little tricky, and we always felt we were getting solid advice from Cathy. To top it off, we had a blast. She’s the busiest person I’ve ever met, and one of the nicest. I think her reputation of being a well-respected, straight shooter in her industry got us the best offer on our home. I cant say enough - I know a house is just a house, but her experience is the reason we were able to buy our forever home, and its not just a house to me.

Cathy was a lifesaver for us. We moved into town with no knowledge whatsoever about it, and she helped us find and (even better) get a fantastic deal on the perfect house. We first met with Cathy while my fiancee was looking at a grad program at Purdue. Without even knowing whether we would end up moving here, she showed us around several neighborhoods so we could get a feel for the community and what we might be able to afford in terms of a house. Once we decided to move here, she blocked aside several days for us on short notice so we could fly out and pick a home. And once we found the home we wanted, she helped us negotiate for a decent chunk less than the asking price, plus most of our closing costs covered, plus a bunch of furniture included. She also did a fantastic job of getting paperwork done when it needed to, even when mistakes were made and we were trying to coordinate the whole thing from multiple states away. A+!

She was very prompt in her communications and showed us houses remotely which saved us a lot of money. We bought a home through the Cathy Russel Team. Not once did we meet with Cathy, she referred us to one of her realtors whom was very unreliable, we went out to look at a home in the Benjamin Crossing Subdivsion, NOT ONCE DID OUR REALTOR EXPLAIN TO US ALL THE PROBLEMS THAT THIS COMMUNITY WAS AND IS STILL HAVING due to the homeowners association. Being new to Indiana and to Lafayette we put our trust in the Cathy Russel team, later on when we tried contacting her again for advise on selling our house or maybe renting it, we never got a response from her or AMY the realtor that helped us. My advice is, try and look somewhere else, these people will be nice to you at first and after they receive their big pay check on that closing day, youre nothing but a forgotten soul to them.

I purchased a home through The Carthy Russell Team in 2007 so I asked Kathy Russell several weeks ago to help me find a bulding for me to store my auto shop hobby cars and parts. I showed her another listing in Crawfordsville that I was trying to duplicate in Lafayette. I was sent out alone to inspect what turned out to be a truly horrible building but was encouraged by "the teams" understanding of what I am looking for. I was assured by her son that "the team" would get back to me about another similar building in another location... Still waiting... more than 3 weeks now? Im sorry that I wasted time with "the team" since the listing in Crawfordsville I had been interested in purchasing is now gone. Still waiting for them to get back to me? They can do better.

We signed contract with Cathy without interviewing other agents. It proved that we made right decision. We got the first offer within ten days, signed the purchase contract in the third week. Kathy’s reputation and connection made the communications effective with buyer’s agent, inspectors, and closing agent. Her team offers handyman with reasonable price in small repairs. You can give her your expectations and trust her making decision for you. Or you can be involved in more details. Her team can work with your desire in a comfortable level. I bought a condominium through Cathy when I moved from Ohio to West Lafayette in 2010. Cathy took a great deal of time with me to look at many properties over the course of 3-4 weekend trips. I was very happy with the place I found. After completing my Ph.D., I took a job out of state and sold the condo through Cathy in early 2013. Again, it was a good experience. Her team helped me with various logistical matters (e.g., cleaning, minor repairs) that would have been very inconvenient for me to take care of from a distance of 300 miles. I have dealt several times with Cathy Russell and her son, Brian Russell. They treat you like a family and give you the best advice that always turned out to be great. They prioritize their customers needs first and greets with a great smile. Weve been dealing with them from past 5 years and we have all the positive to say about the Russell family. We dont even think about dealing with any other company. Brian is great in replying you back as long as you contact him by email. I strongly recommend Brian for any seller, buyer or for any property management needs. They are the best. Once you meet them, you will forget any other realtor.
