I got my brakes replaced and probably two weeks after they started to pulse again. I took it back and they machined the rotors and the same amount of time passed and they started to pulse again. Went in a third time and they told me that I just needed to pull up on my emergency break to fix some wiring and that worked for about a week. Well during that week I moved to a different state and my brakes were still having trouble. I took it in to get an oil change. Those people took off all four tires and looked at all of my brakes. I almost didnt have any back brakes, and the people at George White told me that my back brakes were fine. So I got my back brakes fixed, thinking maybe the noise was displaced. Went for a drive and now I know for sure it was my front breaks. I called the guy who did the original work and he told me that I had to come to Iowa to get them fixed. There was no way that I could drive 6 hours to fix a problem that shouldve been taken care of the FIRST time. After threatening to talk to the guys manager, he finally went to go talk to himself and said that any dealership should be able to replace the parts because they are still under warranty. So I go to a different dealership and they tell me that the parts are after market parts and they may not be able to replace them. It has been two months since I got them replaced the first time. This is RIDICULOUS. They shouldve been fixed RIGHT the FIRST time!

I have been here several times because its so conveniently located but this last experience provoked me enough to write a review. I went in initially to get a flat tire replaced. They didnt have my particular tire in stock, so they put on a tire that was "most similar to mine" (which turned out to be a lie - its an infamously cheap brand that they overcharged for). I went in again shortly after to get a routine service and rotation. I asked them to check and see if it needed an alignment because of the new tire, which they forgot to do. I had already been waiting for around an hour so I decided to go to a different body shop to get it done the following day. Once there, they looked over everything and told me that I didnt need an alignment, but that there was brake fluid all over the new tire because its tilt had cut into the line. This offset my whole brake system and I now need a new calibrator and new rotor totaling near $900. I dont know what upset me more - the fact that I owe so much money for something I didnt precipitate or the fact that the George White mechanics saw the brake line leaking and didnt even tell me so I could get it fixed. If I wouldnt have gotten a second opinion, I could have been on the road without knowledge of my defective brakes. I drive a lot for my job with clients in my car so who knows what could have happened. NEVER going here again. Im still in disbelief.

DONT come here to FIX your cars problem. They making it worst!! On 09/15/16 I came here to fix the over-heat problem by change the water pump. After a winter, I realized my car was over-heat again so I turn my car to the other auto shop for a check. What they told me is that the installation was not done probably. So I call George White again and they agree to look at it. But this just the beginning of the nightmare, when I take my car into their shop that they told me it was nothing wrong with the car. So I asked them to take a look at the water pump which they refuse to do it and ask me to leave!! The repressive name Bryan said I was "robbery" him. I went back to the shop and give them a second chance to fix the problem and never asking them to refund any money. What I want is fix their mistake!!! They dont even boarder to do the investigation by checking the water pump! This is the worst experience I ever have!! At the end, I have to ask my mechanic friend to take out the water pump at night which was awfully installed. I will never trust them to touch my car ever again. I am also going to file a BBB complaint on this.

I wanted to thank Tony at George White for treating us like his own kids when we were in a jam and needed to buy a car. I was rear-ended, an expense we werent planning on with a baby on the way and two full-time jobs. While he didnt have something that was in our price range, he was kind, caring, attentive, and forthright. There was never any pressure to buy and he worked hard to make something fit. We test drove a car that had just come on the lot; Tony had never seen it before. He rode with us and discussed all the noises he heard in the car; some good and some not so good. He basically said, "This isnt the car for you." While we couldnt find a car that we were satisfied with, had we had the time to shop around, I would have asked Tony to find something at auction for us. We instead had to purchase elsewhere due to our time constraints, but we look forward to working with Tony in the future.

My husband and I bought a 2001 Dodge Ram pickup from them in 2009 at the time they didnt like our car insurance so they set up Gap insurance to go on the loan should we have a crash the loan on the truck would be covered. That in its self should had been a red flag that they were charging to much for the truck but again we needed a truck and so went with it. In 2013 we traded the truck off, but then in 2016 I was talking to another dealership and they told me when you trade something off early with that Gap insurance then there is a pay back to you. Only we never got any money back. Till I got a hold of the Iowa Attorney General Office. So people you get Gap insurance on your loan make sure if you trade off early that YOU get the money back not the dealership!

Very upset over the service at George White. I purchased a car less than a year ago and started to have several problems with it. After taking it to the service department they would not help me at all without paying 90 dollars for a diagnostic test. I took it to a different dealership and they told me it was under warranty. I took it back to George White and they refused to call GM to check on the warranty. They told me GM would not cover it and they would not even try calling. I drove right back to the other dealership and they called GM. GM covered ONE HUNDRED percent of the repair. I will never go back to George White and would not recommend it to anyone looking for a car or looking for service on their car.

I purchased a vehicle from them in august of 2014. It was a 2009 Malibu 2lt with 96,000 miles on it. it was priced around 13,000 I believe but after tax title and licensing it was 17,700???!!! I was young and dumb at the time and needed a car but now I am upside down in this car and have had multiple problems with it right when I got it!! Im sorry but I would never recommend this dealership to anyone. They are very overpriced on their used cars. I cant even get out of this loan because I owe way more than what it is actually worth!! I would suggest going to bob brown Chevrolet in Urbandale, IA. They are honest, kind and actually care about your financial stability!
