I wish I could give this place a nice rating but this was probably the worst highlight and cut Ive ever gotten. I dont blame the salon, Im sure everyone there is great but I went to this salon because I thought I would be high quality. Instead I got someone who had only been cutting hair for 3 months. She was very sweet but gave me everything I didnt want. I wanted highlights to blend my hair better and I have these choppy, clearly uneven streaks through my hair. I also wanted a very small trim. I EMPHASIZED barely any off and she cut about 1/2 a foot off. My hair used to go all they way down my back and now it barely hits my bra line. Im actually a little devastated over it. I also ask for long layers and I think she managed to cut layers out of my hair. I have a straight blunt line and then it randomly starts to taper. I know she was a new girl but when I go to a salon that boasts quality thats what I want. Otherwise I wouldve just gone to a beauty school for half of the price! This is only a review for this certain stylist, in no way do I think the rest of the salon works like this.

I dont even believe the girl who cut my hair is old enough to have gone to beauty school. She butchered my hair last weekend. My hair is curly and the "layering" she did makes me look like a christmas tree after my hair dries after a shower. It is Horrible, No exaggeration; the layers are uneven with a ridiculous difference in lengths. I went in for a TRIM. I also went in without any make up on and she sent me to a girl to have some put on. Im pretty inept at girl stuff sometimes, I wear very little makeup, and the girl she sent me to (unasked for) caked cover up on my face and brown blush; I am very pale, it looked horrible. Again, this female was NOT a beautician, NO WAY she was certified to do make up. I got home and took the makeup off immediately and have tried very hard to like my hair these last few days but theres no way. I wish my regular stylist at Finesse Spa/Salon hadnt been booked in Ames, because I highly regret going to this place.

If I could give it a -10 I would. Worst hair experience ever! Ive been to multiple differeny salons and this was definitely the worst! The lady that did my hair kept on pulling my hair so hard i felt like she was trying to pull it off. It took 3 hours and I left the salon extremely unhappy with my color. It was an ugly brow WITH GREEN IN IT!!! I even told the lady if she wont be able to finish my hair to please not let me walk out of here with an ugly color and said dont worry i wont. The worst part is I had to go to work right after and I put my hair up because I was so unsatisfied with my color. Super overpriced as well. I made an appointment with studio 7 the next day and the people there were so much better. My stylist definitely understood me and got the color I wanted for much less than leedz. I was definitely recommend to save your money and head on over there!

I went to Leedz Salon for the first time yesterday on the recommendation of my coworker. My experience was great! Every staff member I encountered was professional, friendly, and very welcoming. Kelli cut and styled my hair and Im nothing less than thrilled with the end result. She listened to my admittedly-vague idea of what I wanted and asked the right questions to ensure that she understood what I was looking for. Because of her attentiveness, I ended up with the best cut possible. From the service at the reception desk to the salons professional but relaxed atmosphere, every part of my visit impressed me. I felt very pampered and will definitely be back when it comes time for my next haircut.

I have been coming to Leedz salon for 12 years and theyve always done a wonderful job- all great stylists that really listen to all the customers! I had a regular cut/trim/thin my hair day back in April and although I have never dyed my hair in my life, I wanted to do something fun for summer! My stylist Taylor suggested a balayage hair coloring and I came on Saturday and left really really happy. It was clear she knew what she was doing and since Saturday I have received countless compliments on my hair coloring. Its absolutely perfect and I will probably come back for a similar coloring at the end of summer before my wedding. I love my hair!

Megan from Leedz SAVED my hair. I had the worst balayage of my life from a different salon, and she fixed it with no trouble at all, and kept the integrity of my hair as best as she could! She was very thoughtful, made sure my car didnt get a ticket, and made me feel so comfortable the whole time. I wish I would have discovered Leedz and Megan when I was a freshman, so I could have had this good of an experience all four years of college. The salon itself is beautiful and the hair wash station is the BEST. I can not say enough good things about Megan and the whole staff!!! Thanks Megan:)

Had a wonderful experience for my first hair cut in Im not even sure how long! Its not just the haircut itself that can make or break an experience, its the hospitality and welcoming personalities that make this salon what it is. My stylist was still quite new, 3 months in, from the time she finished schooling. She made it simple for me to enjoy my time in an environment I was unfamiliar with. Sadly, I havent grown to love my hair in the shape it was cut, but I would still give Leedz another try in the future due to the respect I feel I was given.

Having had some less than desirable experiences at other hair salons I was a little nervous walking into Leedz for the first time, but I left with a huge smile on my face and a great new hairstyle. Taylor was amazing and gave me the exact cut and color I wanted. The overall atmosphere was fun and upbeat, and you could tell that the people working there really enjoy what they do. I would highly recommend this salon to anyone, and fully intend on returning! Thank you Leedz for an awesome experience!

Best experience in my life! I have a hard time finding someone to cut my hair right with it being short and I always want it cut a certain way, and this place NAILED IT! Its been years since I have been happy with a hair cut and Leedz salon were experts with what I wanted out of a hair cut. Definitely and HIGHLY recommend this place as they know what they are doing and hold a strong, professional, attitude with their business. Five stars all the way for these guys!

I had my hair done for my wedding here on very short notice, and they were fantastic at getting me in. I didnt realize that they needed two appointments, one for practice and one for the actual day, and the staff did everything they could to make it work for me. The owner stopped by while I was there and congratulated me and talked for a bit. He was the nicest person and made me feel right at home. Id tell anyone to make this their Go- To salon for everything.
