Can you say UP SELL! I baught a living social deal for $50.00 for a $100.00 credit for my daughter. She went there and they were snobby and rude! They told her they were going to give her a "treatment" while she waited as her stylist was running behind. Her service was scheduled for a haircut & partcial foil - when she went to pay she handed them the $100.00 gift certificate and said your total after certificate is $198.00 she is a college studen and did not have or plan on paying $198.00 The so called treatment was an upcharge they did not tell her upfront there would be a charge for this treament nor did they tell her the prices of their haircuts or folis. As a new client they should of explained to her their prices and asked her if she wanted the treatment and what the cost would be. I DO NOT recommend Twiggs Salon as this is not the only time this has happened. I have 2 friends who baught groupons and had the exact thing happend to them- they were told they were getting treatments and then were expected to pay and they were in shock at the prices both totals wera around $300.00 before coupons and they were sold hard on products the entire time they were in the chair. DISHONEST and RUDE!!

I found the whole salon experience absolutely wonderful! From the nice greeting at the door to the pleasant stylist that made me feel quite comfortable at her station. An offering of beverage and snack started off my journey. My stylist, Jennifer began by offering a consultation in regards to my face shape and color tones. I received makeover suggestions that really made sense. Never in my whole life had anyone made recommendations that would flatter me. I was so used to the stylist that started out by asking "well...what would you like me to do today?" The atmosphere was fun and upscale with a loft type feeling. Featured contempary art work adorned the walls. Jennifer proceeded to foil my hair. I had the most wonderful experience at the washing station....laying down!! No more uncomfortable sinks. I was then offered a mini back rub followed by a paraffin hand dip. Talk about being pampered! I left with a nice color and style and will definitely return. A few comments have been stated about the staff here, but you have to look beneath the exterior of people to see their real beauty. They truely are there to pamper and make you beautiful!

I have tried many stylists in the Twin Cities area, and Amy Jo at TwiggsSalon has been the best. PROS: Amy Jo is definetely an expert at cuts (a rarity in the Twin Cities). You have to tell her exactly what you want, and she will do it for you. She gives good advice, too. The environment at Twiggs is friendly (not like the other reviews say). I have never seen Shauna in the times that Ive been there, From the reviews, Shauna supposedly has a dog. I have never seen a dog in the place. So, you should really ignore those reviews. The staff is professional and friendly. Good location. Easy to get to. Free parking. Pretty area. Pretty salon. CONS: So expensive= $90/cut + tips, but bang/neck trims are complimentary. Lisa is around $60/cut. Although, there are less expensive stylists. And you get what you pay for. I wish there were more promotions for returning customers. Lisa is not good at cuts. The first cut, shell spend an hour on it. Afterwards, shell do your hair in 5 minutes, and thats what your hair will look like - a 5 minute cost cutters cut. No hairstyle books. Only magazines. Overall, I give the place a B grade.

I had gotten a groupon from my mom for christmas and they scheduled me with a stylist named David. After being there from 1 pm to 6:30 pm (because they had over booked him and he was cutting hair while my hair was processing) my bill for just a normal cut and color was $575 without the coupon so it came down to $475. The toner David had put in my hair that I did NOT ask for, he just put it in while my hair was in the sink, was $95 and the caviar deep conditioner he has put in my hair that he already had ready when I got back to the chair was over $100. So all these things added up to almost $600. My mom was livid and called and spoke to the manager who in turn, told my mom, that it was "my fault for not asking how much everything was and that I should have considered that they cater to a higher class." They refused to discount anything so my mom has filed a complaint with the BBB for fraud. When speaking to other people about the salon they said the same thing had happened to their daughters. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO SPEND HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS FOR LESS THAN PAR SERVICE.

I am not sure who is actually writing these reviews, but I need to share our experience. I bought a groupon for my daughter as a gift. She is a new mom, her husband just finished school and got a new job. They recently moved. Finances are tight now, so I thought she would love the chance to get her hair done at a nice salon. When she booked, she opted for a cut and color, quote as $140. This was $40 more than the gift certificate value. When she finished her appointment she was told the total was $315 ! She was forced to pay $215 of her own money in addition to the certificate! Needless to say, she was terribly upset and angry. What should have been a pleasant experience turned into a nightmare for her. I cant believe the salon would treat new customers like this. I dont know who could afford to pay prices like that for hair care. She certainly could not afford it. What a waste of money that could have payed for baby expenses or many other things.

Twiggs is awesome. I love it there it smells so good and they use the best of the best products. Everyone is so professional while also fun. The vibe is awesome. I go to Evan for all my hair appointments and he is the best stylist Ive ever had. Evan is so fun to be with and makes haircuts feel more like hanging out with a friend than a chore or service. Evan is so talented. He does my hair and makeup for all dances and events. He works so hard to make your look perfect. I trust Evan to do what he knows will look best. His style sense and ability is amazing. He is so good at what he does and I have never been disappointed. Evan seriously has a gift. Every time I tell him to just do what he feels will look good and I always love it. He makes me feel hot and has his customers best interests in mind. I would recommend Evan to everyone and I do! Me and my sister both religiously see Evan for our hair and as a friend! Hes awesome.

I absolutely LOVED my experience with David at Twiggs Salon, it was a breath of fresh air to go to a place where you dont just sit down and tell the stylist what you "think" you want and they just do what YOU say, Im not the professional...i dont KNOW what to do with my hair, so it was sooooooooo AMAZING to go to someone who told ME what i should do and not just telling me i should do lowlights "because its fall"...(whatta dumb reason) I love that he painted a picture for me of what i was going to look like after he was done with me... he executed it perfectly and i was SOOOOOO happy with my new look when i left! I will def. be back to TWIGGS salon to see David. Everyone i met while i was there was soooo nice and what a BEAUTIFUL STAFF!! just a plus...:)
