I live in Rogers, MN, but made a long drive to Salon Marquee, because of all the great reviews on the Internet. Here is my experience with it: First of all, during my long two and a half hours visit there I didn’t see any clients who were younger than their sixties. And now I can clearly see why. Second, when I now read carefully all these glorious reviews, they sound as if they are written by the one person – same words and expressions. They don’t even sound real, more like advertisements. No other salon has anywhere close that many wonderful reviews, and there are many good salons in Twin Cities. The majority of their clientele – older ladies, don’t even do reviews on the Internet all that often. I have no doubts now that many of these reviews are fabricated and false. I had an appointment with Nikki. I brought a picture of the hair style that I planned for to an appointment: medium length hair cut, dark brown color, few blond highlights here and there. Same as what I usually do and nothing extraordinary! When Nikki was finished drying my hair after color and haircut, I observed in terror that the whole top of my head was bright yellow. She not only greatly overdid it with timing, but there was not a hint of light streaks among dark color, it was all light. Nikki agreed that this doesn’t look like anything on the picture. They offered me corrective color. Oh boy, I guess I just don’t learn… I agreed. After 10 minutes of sitting with a corrective toner, my hair emerged… red. It was dark red on the bottom of my hair and light red on top, where my so-called highlights were supposed to be. I asked for my money back. They offered me another color correction instead. This time I learned. And refused. Nowhere during the extensive discussion of my predicament with owner of the salon was I offered an apology. And she refused to return my money, even though I explained very intelligibly why I can’t let anybody at this salon get anywhere near my hair anymore. So here I am with bad haircut and by far the worst hair color I have ever had, minus almost 200 hundred dollars (they are expensive!). I believe you are much safer doing your hair at Fantastic Sams. Even Sams offer color guarantee and for three times cheaper! I can’t believe how supposedly upscale Salon Marquee can be so greedy and not responsible for their low quality services.

I LOVE Salon Marquee and the women who provide my services! Ive only ever had the best haircut or perm or color or pedicure! Ive seen younger people in there as well as older ones. Brenda W. has given me the best cuts and color for over 20 years. Cathy H. has done the best pedicures for me for 6 years. I encourage you to give it a try more than once!!! I am so sorry to read the 2 poor reviews below. First of all, I have to say that sometimes different products work differently on peoples hair. Also, one experience does not give an accurate rating. Ive been going to Salon Marquee for many years and have only had one "oops" and it was corrected. Ive learned that it can happen to anybody in any business. I see no reason to criticize a place because of a one-time mishap Their staff is always pleasant and I find people treat you according to how you treat them. In the case of this business, Ive never seen any staff rude to anyone else. Ive only ever had the best haircut or perm or color or pedicure! Ive seen younger people in there as well as older ones.

My bridal party and I went to get our hair done here, as I thought it was a good salon. I was wrong. Not only did they "accidentally" delete two of my bridesmaids appointments, they were already under staffed to finish us on time. Jonlyn is supposed to be amazing at bridal hair only to find out that she was below average. She rushed through my hair to fit everyone else in and it looked nothing like the picture. In fact, every single one of us had to go home and redo our hair...which took forever. No one was happy!!! My mother went in for a shampoo and style and came out with her hair so puffy she looked like she had just stepped out of a bad version of hair spray. Lastly, they over charged us beyond belief and are refusing to to give us any compensation, they wont even return our phone calls...DONT GO HERE!! Trust me!!!!

I have been going to Salon Marquee since they opened. The customer service and professional competencies are outstanding. I have been going to Carol, but I see how talented the rest of the staff are as well. Not only do you have the confidence that your hair or other salon treatment will be done well - you also can walk across the street for a stroll along Lake Minnetonka before or after! If you havent been here, I highly recommend you give this Salon a try.

I just returned home from yet another wonderful experience from Laurie at Salon Marquee! She takes the time to listen to my hair concerns, what I think I want done and expresses her professional opinion at to what will and wont work! I always return home happy with the look she creates! I love the colors she chooses to highlight, lowlight and chase the gray away! She seems to be on the cutting edge of the hair care world both with cuts and color!

The employee named Angela Ulici pretends to have a bachelor degree. She does not have one. She only has a 12 grade education and a three months course to cut nails. That is all. Pretending to be something you are not is shameful.
