I am an electronic sales associate with years of experience in customer service and retail. I understand all the problems and difficulties that occur in repair and customer experience. With that said, I am extremely unhappy with the service I received from ABS Computers. I had been having a lot of trouble with my computers wifi card so I brought it to ABS. A man, who I presume is the owner, was very friendly and told me I could expect to have my computer fixed within 4-5 days. That was over 5 weeks ago. I just received my computer today. After a week of waiting for a call from ABS I decided to call them to check on the status of my computer. I was told the wrong part was shipped in. This may not have been ABSs fault, but at the very least I would have appreciated a call updating me. I waited another week and a half. I never received a call telling me that the new part arrived. I decided to call back once again, but this time I was told that the technician had broken a cable while installing the new card. At this point I had been waiting three weeks. In my conversation with the owner I never even received so much as an apology for all of the time I wasted. He complained about how frustrated he was, but didnt bother to think about how it effected me. I waited another week. I called again to ask about the status of the replacement cable. I was concerned because I would be going back to college in Missouri later that week. I was "guaranteed" my computer would be fixed before I left. I called the day before leaving and was told the part hadnt arrived. I never received an apology and I was never updated prior to my call. I went back to school without my computer. I waited to hear back from ABS, but never did. I called once again and was told the part was received and that I would be called with shipment information. The owner agreed to ship the computer down to Missouri on his dime. I waited and never received a call. When I contacted ABS about the shipping info I was told to call back 20 minutes later. I assumed they forgot to make a shipping label and was later shown to be correct when I saw the number was just created after I called. The horrendous communication and lack of competence I experienced is unacceptable in a customer service industry. With the exception of one instance, I had to make a call every time to get an update on my Mac. ABS Computers will not be receiving my business after being treated as an annoyance instead of a paying customer.

My computer had a crazy fault in it that did not allow the power to turn on. Jeremy was able to commit some brilliant work to allow me to turn the computer on. It will still eventually fail, as all technology must. Mainly, I was able to access the years of files and back them up. ABS did this for me for less than an actual cost of backing up 75G of files by performing the technological equivalent of a quadruple bypass on my crummy little laptop. The work is absolutely top notch, inventive, and quick. Having been an independent contractor, Id say that my only caveat would be their communication with the customer. However, they are (at the point in time of this review) in between moves and I was still able to get my computer back within 36 hours. ABS quite literally saved me months of work and the cost of a new computer (or, at least delayed the new comp for a couple months). I cannot recommend their work enough. Jeremy is knowledgeable, able and can communicate the reasons for his work in a way that makes sense as to the hows and the whys. When they get moved into their new storefront, I will get any and all IT service from them.

MINUS star rating if I could have. In a nutshell: UNPROFESSIONAL from animals running loose in the business to products returned in worse condition than when they were brought in, calls NEVER returned. Broken promises, etc. excuses, ad nauseam.. Paid a lot, got worse, no satisfaction after MULTIPLE attempts to contact these people, and I mean MONTHS of trying to resolve issues. ABS is not a full time service; it is "run" by kindergartners while the owner has another full time day job. STEER CLEAR of this place folks!!! Next stop, Better Business Bureau.

I am currently standing outside of what should be the address of this business and it is NOT here. Therefore, one of two things has happened 1.) They have moved locations and FAILED to update their address or 2.) They have gone out if business and again FAILED to update their information. I would have been a brand new customer had I actually been able to find ABS, but seeing that it isnt here ,and I dont have all day to look for it; I will move on to geek squad at best buy. At least they can be easily found. And no this is NOT fake.

Thumbs up to ABS Computers! I took in my computer because it had a virus. I was quoted less than half the price of a big name store to get it fixed. Not only did they take out the virus, but they souped up my computer, cleaned out all the crap, and now it runs like brand new! Maybe even faster than when it was new. Super impressed, also great customer service.
