Lets see.... I scheduled an appointment for a haircut and eyebrow wax, and felt slightly uncomfortable immediately in the atmosphere because there was not one person with lighter skin tone than a tan ugg boot- with bleach blonde and black hair to match. Myself being a natural girl, must have looked like a ghost floating through the room- so the vibe I got. Polite enough staff, although I had this inkling feeling I was being scrutinized for having different beauty ideals and not investing the amount of time into my looks as my stylist clearly did. They also have this new policy where they tell you every product they use and how it works, informative right? Yes, but also a great selling scheme. Once they are finished with their services they take you to the product room where they show you everything they used and even suggest others. Then comes that awkward moment when you both are standing there and you know shes got her fingers crossed that you will feel oddly obligated to spend $30 on a small bottle of shampoo. So you mumble something about next time and inch closer to the cash register where BAM! $80 for a simple haircut and eyebrow wax? I guess I did opt in for that "special" hair treatment, but how does a haircut with no layers and five minute wax cost? Not to mention the stylist did less work than the girl washing my hair, who probably never saw the tip I left. Being the genius that I am, I see a coupon for $30 facials going on at the time and thought, hot damn that’s half of what they usually are! I inquire about the facialist and am told, "We Bring her in"..... me: "You mean you specially bring her in?"..... "Yes." Wrong. Fast forward to my facial, when chatting with the girl I mentioned how I was told she was "brought in" and she seemed a bit confused. She said that she had just joined the Bellisimo team, but was not some sort of special "brought in" that I was lead to believe. Before the facial began she asked me what I was looking to get out of it, sighting a relaxing facial as an example. I stated very clearly that I wanted a clarifying facial since it had been quite a while since my last one and my pores were in need of some serious attention. It started off nicely and I found her to be a pleasurable person. However, after she spent only a few minutes squeezing around my nose she shut off the steamer she was using to open up my pores- without even looking at any of the pores on the rest of my face! So then I guess we moved onto relaxing facial mode, which is pretty hard to do when the walls to the tiny room are paper thin and I could hear all the girls outside gossiping and squawking like a bunch of chicken. When she had finished I will admit I felt relaxed, but when I looked in the mirror my face looked exactly the same! She didnt even clear the majority of my nose! I dont know what is up with this place, but they seem to give more of what they want to give than what you are asking for. For the prices they charge I would expect a MUCH better service. My hair is a little shorter and eyebrows trimmed but I dont look like I just dropped a bunch of dough to get beautified. Bellisimo can rest assured that they will not be receiving any more of my money for sub-par services and a giant product sales pitch. Highly advise against going to Bellisimo, unless Jersey Shore is your thing.

I asked for 1-2 inches and soft long layers, and instead literally 7-8 inches of my beautiful long hair were chopped off as I sputtered in protest. I have never had an experience like it. I have been sobbing all day, because my very long curly hair was my crowning feature that I was very proud of. When the male stylist there started lifting it and rapidly cutting it off in 2 inch increments, I said that it seemed too much. I said, "Oh, wait, this is really too short." I asked if it was still long in the back. He told me it would be healthier and it was still long, and kept cutting away, despite my verbal cues that I was worried he was cutting too much (I couldnt see what he was doing behind me). My hair was nearly to my waist when I walked in and I asked for 1-2 inches off. When he was done, it was an inch past my shoulders, with layers that are literally only about 3 inches long at the top. I was stunned. It will take me 2 years to grow back to anywhere near the length I had. To add insult to injury, he could tell he had cut it too short and without asking me, straightened it because he knew that curly it would be even shorter. I dread the poodle look I am going to have when my hair is washed and becomes curly again. It will shorten another 2 inches. The highlights he did came out OK, but they will try to add in extra services without consulting with you at all. He added toner to my hair when rinsing because he said the highlights seemed yellow. Later, he charged me $10 extra for it. He hadnt asked me or mentioned that he was going to use it, which I think is really bad practice. Would NEVER recommend this place to anyone.

The first time I went to Bellisimo it was good, nice cut good color. The second time not so much. I walk in at 12:20 for my appointment at 12:30 only to find Morgan the girl I had an appointment with to get my hair cut was running behind, this wouldnt of been a big issue except not a single person called me ahead of time to let me know....so I planned my day around this hair cut that now was pushed back to 1:30pm.....I get back at 1:40 thinking that would of given Morgan enough time to finish her last appointment. Clearly I was wrong. I waiting from 1:40 till 2pm only to have another MORE EXPENSIVE girl say she was going to take care of me. Morgan didnt even have any respect to even come and talk to me herself. After I found out my hair cut was now going to be more expensive then I was promised I have wasted my day. If I could give 0 stars I would. It was very unprofessional and they didnt seem to care that they have officially lost my business.

My stylist, Joelle is great! Her brother is also wonderfully talented (good genes I guess). Bring extra cash for tip! They have a C.C. machine that doesnt allow you to add in a tip which left me in a very awkward situation (who carries cash anymore?). They also had a great stylist and manager (Michelle) who was very rudely fired without notice (the owner has no tact). Otherwise- good place.

MY hair cut was uneven and I had to pay to have it done by another place. The color I received was nothing like the picture I showed (also had to pay to have that redone). I ended up with hair dye on my clothes. I have been trying to contact a manager for over a week and am getting no response.
