i came back to public storage after about 10 years of not using storage units. i had a great experience in the past at lenexa locations, so i said hey might as well go back. This time, i went to this public storage at 44th in kck, it is semi near my house (5 miles away) . day 1, emily greated me warmly with very on point statements and she had an answer to every question i had. i told her about my ebay store and how i am trying to minimize cost and that might have to be in the storage facilities, (i told her i prefered public storage ) and she went into her computer and looked up more rates at public storages around my house! she was SUPER knowledgable and it feels good to have great customer service now a days. we both concluded the best deal was here at 44th and i signed right up and she helped me every step of the way. day 2) i came in with a truck load of cosignment and i was having doubts of driving west when there is one 4to 5 miles away across state line. Rachel is who helped me with my questions also.she had an answer for all of them as well, (great feeling). she checked with main street and theyre a little more pricey than 44th as well and she reassured me that if i was being pennywise, this is the best deal AND SHE WAS RIGHT!

I have been here for a few months and I have some mixed feeling about it: First you have to physically get out every time to get in and out of the gates. Not a drive up push some numbers and you are in. Second: driving thru the back even going slow you can bottom out several types of vehicles and I know the way that they are laid out is to prevent flooding and help with drainage. Third: when reading online and booking it, they didnt let me know until I went to move things into it that, it was a unit with two doors instead of one big one. With no others that were available at that time. What else was I going to do with it. I feel forced to stay there and having two smaller doors to a big unit is a real pain. So I had to purchase another set of locks just so I could open the door. This was not done at the time of moving day and had to take time to go there during " working hours" just to purchase another lock so both of the doors could be open. and last but not lease heaven help you if you are a few minutes past gate closing time!! There is no one that can help you!!!!

Roenia and Courtney assisted me with my rental storage. They were both very knowledgeable and very professional and were quick to assist me with my storage needs. I was shown a variety of several units that varied in sizes and was totally satisfied with the one I had finally chosen. What I enjoyed most was the convenience of a well stocked of moving supplies that this property carries. This makes my move a whole lot easier. I also would like to add on how surprised I was to see how clean and well maintained this property was. I have to be honest, Ive looked at several different properties and I truly wasnt impressed with the property grounds or their pushy employees. This one just caught my eye with the cleanliness and professionalism that your managers Roenia and Courtney portrayed. They are great asset to your company. Im pleased with my finally decision and I will definitely recommend this property to my friends and family.

The property is pretty old and the parking lot has been neglected - keep an eye out for potholes and loose pavement. The rep I worked with was surprisingly pushy and made it sound like she was doing me a favor by letting me into my unit. I opened my account online and already had renters insurance on move-in day. They DID NOT like this - Im sure they make a fortune from selling their own policies. I think what annoyed me the most was the unexpected increase in rent (an additional $20/mo after 3 billing cycles) for no apparent reason. No letter, no email, no warning - just a larger amount drafted from my bank account. Their explanation was "our vacancy and changes in the market," which are absolutely no concern of mine. I hear this is pretty common with storage companies, but I bet most of them notify their tenants before they make any changes. Well be moving our belongings to another location in the near future.

I was in transition from one apartment to another and was staying with a friend and needed a place for my things. This location was just 1 mile from her house so made any trip I needed to make there easy. I was just expecting to find a place to store my things but what I found was MUCH more..... Courtney at this location was WONDERFUL!! She was very professional, extremely knowledgeable, polite and got me in and out of there in less then 5 minutes. The unit was clean and the property very safe. The pricing was amazing and I would recommend not only Public Storage to all my friends but this specific location. With the service I received, this is where I will come for all of my storage needs! YOU ROCK COURTNEY!!!

Courtney at this location is so very helpful, extremely polite, and takes the time to know her customers. Severals weeks, maybe months ago, I had spoke to her about transferring to a bigger unit and she showed me one. I hadnt gotten back with her because we havent needed to add anything to our current unit. I went in yesterday to pay my monthly bill and she knew my name, remembered that we had talked about the bigger unit and she gave me new prices on those units. It shocked me!! Besides the convenience of this location, I LOVE the courteous staff (Courtney) there. I will gladly recommend this location to any family or friends needing storage.

Public Storage is a place to store your stuff, thats about it. I give them 5 stars because of Courtney! She has been at this location for several years, I dread going in to pay my bill anytime its not her! Courtney always knows who I am and has my account pulled up when I walk in, such a positive attitude and eagerness to solve any problems you have. I have called corporate and reached out to the district manager several times, none of which respond the way she does! Corporate and the district manager could learn a few things from her! She truly goes above and beyond ever time. So save yourself the trouble and ask for Courtney!!l

I think I will like having my things at this facility. Roenia was the employee who helped me get my unit and talked me through all my paperwork. She was very friendly and knowledgable about the units and finding me what I needed and it was a great deal. The only downfall to this is that I didnt get the first month for $1. Im not sure if that didnt apply to the size of unit I rented or what but when you are trying to find the cheapest place and you end up paying more than $1 you are kind of disappointed. But overall this place is very clean and the employees are kind.
