I went in today to get my hair permed when I scheduled the appointment over the phone and explained to the girl what i wanted she said they could do it. I went in for a perm I got their and they told me they didnt have the materials they needed to do the job than another cosmetologist the girl that I spoke to when I scheduled the appointment swore up and down that the rollers they had would get close to what I wanted. I wanted a beach looking perm and it came out looking like a poodle stuck its tail in an electric socket. The cosmetologist my appointment was scheduled with discussed with me a way that she was going to do it and it seemed like it was going to work ( the only part that the rollers she said she was going to use is the only part that looks good a small part at the nape of my neck)" than as we where going to start the other girl who scheduled the appointment was telling the scheduled cosmetologist to let her roll my hair because she can get it done in 10 minutes.. sure enough it took her 10 mins and some of them where loose and angled in a different direction from the others I brought that up to my scheduled cosmetologist she said it would be find when she pulled the rods out it looked okay than as it started to dry the wavy curls started going straight on the side i expressed concern. Long story short the perm is horrible I have an Afro. I called and talked to the girl that was suppose to do my hair the one I was scheduled with the one that seemed to have a plan of action but let a co-worker care for her client and she got defensive of course blamed me for trusting them to do what professionals are suppose to do I had hoped for at least a discount but after she explained to me that after giving me a crappy perm that she charged me completely separate charge for trimming some dead ends off of my hair which I thought was complementary with a perm to ensure the quality and that she will "NOT" give me the money back she seemed like a nice girl and could have turned my hair into a good perm but she let someone else do my hair and didnt take care of me as a client she should have given me my money back and made the girl that stepped in and pay for what she did but their both at fault you dont rush a perm and you take care of your clients first hand plus the floors had small piles of hair a long the walls and the bathroom was gross.

I was excited to try something new and decided to go with "Shapes". I called to make the apt and Melanie scheduled it for a Tuesday with Trish then called Monday to cancel saying that Trish wouldnt be in on Tuesday. I was then scheduled for Wednesday, I showed up and the doors were locked, lights were out and the sign read "closed". All their numbers were listed on the window so I first called Trish, left a voicemail then I called Melanie and left a voicemail. Melanie called me back and said she didnt know what was going on because she took the day off. Trish never called me back. Dont waste your time with this place, obviously no one wants to work. The sign in the window stated they were open until 6PM....
