My wife and I are moving to a new home soon. We know that we can not fit all that we have in our new home. We need to get a place to store some of our possessions. We currently are living in Cold Spring and have driven by the Compass Storage location many times. We also needed to have climate control for the items we want to store. We decided to stop by to see what type of storage was available. We were pleasantly surprised by how nice the entire storage area looked. Very clean and organized. Mark met us at the door and welcomed us to come in and sit down. He explained all that they could offer in the way of storage units and then took us to see several climate controlled units of different sizes. We were sold on how nice they were and we signed up to rent a 5x10 unit. Mark handle all the paper work and explained everything we needed to know to use the rental united. He could not have been any nicer and thorough on getting us started with a unit. We just today bought a package of newsprint wrapping paper for packing. We will certainly recommend Compass and Mark to others who need to store items that they have. Thanks Mark, you are the greatest!

Awesome Deals Abound
I first started using this facility in 2004 when it was called AA Self Storage and run by Mark Melson… As of 2016, this facility was sold to Compass Self Storage and Mark continues working for this new owner in the capacity of General Manager… Throughout this time period, the facility has always been well maintained and managed… I have had numerous conversations with Mark as well as discussions with Compass employees Mary and BJ… I truly appreciate everything they have done for me in the past and look forward to future interactions with this organization…

This is without a doubt the best storage facility Ive ever used. The grounds are always well kept, the entry ways to the storage units are clean and well lit. If I had any questions, Mark was there to help. He is dedicated, precise and thoughtful. If he can help, he does. I had a climate controlled unit and never worried about going in the building alone. Felt very safe. I rented my unit for almost 3 years but now do not need it any longer. Thanks Compass for offering such a great space.

Professionally managed by Mark Melson. Mark is friendly, experienced, proactive manager, and he led us through the appointment process and we are happy with the new unit in the climate control section. Easy and efficient process. Compass self storage has an efficient paperwork system. Bringing your home owner insurance declaration page enables you to waive the required property insurance. Else, youll need to bring the declaration page in later. Mark is a great guy to work with.

I had a phenomenal experience with Compass Storage today. Mark was an amazing amount of help when working with my fiance and I today, and we are more than glad we went with Compass. If you are new to looking for storage units (like myself) I would definitely recommend this one. They are super helpful, and will walk you through the entire process easily.

Beware of the hidden fees and special rates dont apply if you are storing an auto. I have had items stored at this place for just over a year. I have had 2 price increases so far. Total rip off. They say its because of increasing costs. What started out as a 10x20 @$140.00 they now want $175.00. I will be moving my stuff as soon as I can.

The facility was clean, safe, and easy to access. We will definitely use Compass Self Storage again, should we need to store our items again.

I was here on Friday to set up storage and rent a moving van. Mark was so efficient and knowledgeable. Very kind and customer service friendly. I was here again on Sunday and BJ was just and helpful and efficient. The grounds are clean and safe. Highly recommend Compass Storage
