Im leaving this review as this was my first time to a real Salon rather than the typical hair removal place I usually associate myself with. Also, to include the fact that I rarely write reviews. Ive learned that we are a culture of pointing out the bad rather than the good. With that said; let me get started on an amazing experience I had. First off, I went in as a man in my 30s currently on chemo to have my haired dyed as its turned white. I was concerned. I was concerned as I was unsure of telling them of my status, or the fact that I had no clue to what a salon was. I assumed they served alcohol. No wait! That’s a saloon. Ah, I get things confused from time to time. We’ll save that for another day. While I waited, I noticed how clean, kind and professional everyone was. I cannot express, other than a few words here, to how amazing my experience was at this location. Everyone was kind to my niece, who was my hairstyling sidekick that day, and treated me the same. Such a professional place with amazing people. As I mentioned, I had never been to a salon and didn’t know what to expect. Keri took care of me. Matched my old hair color, was kind, and made me feel comfortable for someone who felt out of place. Thank you Keri for what you do and did, and for being kind to my niece. Planet Salon will always have my business and support. ~~~ Your entire team is amazing. P.S… I may be back to acquire some of those fancy suckers at the front desk. The blue ones were AMAZING. ;-)

I made an appointment several days ago with Haley. This was my first time to go there. I arrived 5 min. early. My first impressions was that the atmosphere was very nonprofessional. My appt. was 1:15 pm. I waited 15 min. And then went to the desk to ask if I had been mistaken about my appt. time. I was told that she was finishing with another client. Finally after waiting a total of 25 min. I got up and left. I was looking for a salon in Frankfort because I have been driving back and forth to Lexington to continue with the hairdresser I have been with for 10 years. Haley called to apologize. She offered a discount. But you cant change a first impression. I have no anger toward her and I hope she continues to do well. My hair is short and easy to style. I get it cut and styled every 4-5 weeks and I have been paying $55.00 in Lexington. I will continue to look for someone in Lexington who finds my time as important as their time.

Master stylist, Jessica, at Planet Salon in Frankfort is AMAZING!! I have very curly hair that most stylists LOVE, but do not want to cut short. In fact, I dont think I have ever walked out of a salon with the exact haircut I asked for - its usually some plain Jane version. Anyway, I showed Jessica several pics of super fun curly undercuts, and much to my surprise and satisfaction, I walked out of Planet Salon with the haircut I asked for - a haircut that I am completely in love with. Even better, I went back to Jessica for my six week trim, and she somehow managed to improve upon my already amazing haircut. Amazing salon. Amazing stylist. Amazing experience.

After years of being my hairdressers client with the thickest, most hair of any of her clients, and being told no when I wanted to change up my cut/color, I have found my hair guru in Karie Smith at Planet Salon Frankfort. I have never loved my hair more, or gotten more honest advice on how to style it and how to actually make it do what I want. I have an in-style cut and color for the first time ever with beautiful ombre color. Ive been in just for a style for an event and barely gave any direction, then received compliments all night. I never want to have a different stylist in my life!

Jessica, at Planet Salon in Frankfort is AMAZING!! I always receive compliments about my hair no matter whether Jessica cuts it short or I let it grow out and we highlight it. Recently I have been told by several people that I look 10 years younger with my new highlights and style. I look forward to my next visit as soon as I walk out of the salon. This place has been wonderful to me! :)) I just love Justin. He always knows the right way to style my hair not to mention is so pleasant to speak with. What a great guy! Olivia is just as wonderful. They are fun loving people. I feel so beautiful every time I leave from there. Ask for Justin or Olivia when you call. Actually, everyone at Planet Salon is excellent at all cosmetology needs. Planet Salon has always been good to me. Ive been going there since they first opened in my area. Im a permanent customer. :-)

I love this salon! My mom was the only hairdresser I trusted, and when she retired, I was nervous about going to another hairdresser. I have thick, naturally curly hair that sometimes grabs color. Needless to say, I found my perfect match with Olivia Nichols. She updated my style, and colored my hair flawlessly. I would recommend her to anyone! Ive gotten compliments from random strangers in the grocery store on my hair! Olivia is the best!

If your looking for an amazing salon look no further. Its a beautiful salon with a very knowledgeable staff. Also its a bumble and bumble salon and if you have ever used bumble you know how amazing it is. If not I suggest you give them a try. The staff at planet was more than happy to help me with styling my hair and taught me what product worked best for me and how to use it! Best salon in town

The level of expertise in everything they do is unmatched. From lash extensions to color to cut to facials and waxes, there is NO where else Id go and no one else Id trust.
