Beware, went to Pro-tech ask them to give me a price. range to replace manifold gasket in a 2000 Chevy Astro. They told me $500.00. I ask the fellow what would be the high end of estimate. He said that was the estimate only thing extra would be how much fluid was lost during procedure. I said fine and set a date to have work done. Day of repair they called to say work would cost $975.00. Pretty close to double. told them estimate was $500.00 plus fluid. There response was, well sorry he misquoted. Needless to say I told them to forget it. I myself have been in business for over 40 years. Cant imagine giving a customer an estimate on a job and when I get there to do it telling them price would be double. Doubt i would still be in business. Cant imagine they are if they treat everyone this way. My last time there.

Been there twice. Couldnt ask for more honest, straight forward guys. Where else are you going to go that actually ASKS that you come back into the shop area and shows you exactly whats wrong, why its wrong, what can be done, what they suggest, etc? Most garages dont want you anywhere near the shop! They fixed another "good shops" crappy repair work on my Dakota, along with several other things. They always called asking permission to fix something, or to make suggestions(suggestions were not always adding more work and money!). Sure, they seem kinda high, but with everyone else ripping you off, I dont mind paying a higher price KNOWING that it is fixed, and fixed correctly!! Bravo to these guys and I will be back !!!

Honest, dependable and reasonably priced compared to other shops by far! A dream come true compared to other places looking for an arm and a leg in cost coupled with poor repair work. We live in Crestwood and have done business with Pro-Tech 4 or 5 times now for different automotive issues. We have come to know our vehicles are in good hands and that we wont be taken advantage of, which brings a great sigh of relief. The only weird thing is they regularly post a discount on google maps with unexpired dates and when you ask about it... they do not honor it nor have knowledge of its existence. But since they are reasonably priced I do not dwell on it so much. Pro-Tech is a safe bet!

They charged me $220 to replace one brake line on a Ford F150 pickup truck which is outrageous in my opinion. Instead of charging a reasonable rate and getting more business from me and my friends and relatives I tell everyone to avoid them because theyre dishonest. Im actually surprised that theyre still in business....

So far, so good - been there four or five times with a Nissan and Honda. Always upfront about what needs to be done and usually the cost ends up less than what they originally quote. Kind of far to go to Oldham Co from Louisville, but worth it if your concerned about getting ripped off.

Have been a customer of Pro-Tech for many years. Have all the service work for 3 vehicles done with them. Always honest with me. Have solved a couple of obscure problems for me. They kept at the problem until they found a solution. I highly recommend them.
