I took my truck to them About a month ago to do a rear end gear change. They kept my truck for two weeks. They took the gears in and out and in and out multiple times. They couldnt get the whine out the gears. So they bought another set of gears. Guess what they couldnt get the whine out those either so they put the gears I bought them back in, go figure. And when I got my truck back it felt a little weird but I just wanted to get my truck back because they had it for so long. On the way back home my drive shaft broke in two. They had the nerve to ask me what I was doing as if it was my fault when they had been driving and taking apart my truck for two weeks. And they had some balony excuse about the truck needed a steel drive shaft now instead of an aluminum one that came on the truck. If they didnt know how to change rear end gears thats all they had to tell me. I will never go to them again. And I will never recommend them to anybody. They think I dont know but I know they had way too much back lash in my rear end. The drive shaft spins about half a rotation before the wheels even start to spin. I know that is the reason the drive shaft twisted cause of that halft a rotation before it spins the wheel. Thats way too much slop. I wasnt happy when I left their shop. They did replace my drive shaft. And they were nice, but they pretty much blamed me for what happend. I just wish they would of told me they didnt know how to do it. And I would of been I little more Patient and did it my self. They have ruined my truck for me I no longer want it and I have already bought a new truck and Im going to give my old truck to my dad. And In the future I hope shops will be honest with people and tell them when they dont know what they are doing and not be money hungry. Let someone go to someone better qualified instead of taking their money. I had to get this off my chest cause its been bothering me ever since.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE, YOU WILL REGRET IT. If I could give this no stars, I would. I brought my 2009 Subaru in with a cylinder misfire last October, and through a FIVE (5) MONTH repair process they managed to destroy my turbo, ruin my engine, and waste more of my time and money than I care to imagine. They wouldnt even claim responsibility for the damages they caused...fortunately their insurance company, Penn National, stepped in to make things right. When they "finished" I had to have my vehicle taken by my family to Washington state as I had already moved out of state in the FIVE (5) MONTHS it took for this "repair" to take place. My vehicle now leaks oil like a sieve, was returned missing parts, and is unsafe to drive. For example, 3 out of 5 lugnuts where missing when the vehicle came out of the shop and the rest of the lugnuts were "hand tightened" as identified by another certified shop. Now I will be working through their insurance and legal routes to make this right through a licensed Subaru shop. This company claimed the vehicle was safe to drive, and proceeded to take my familys life into its incompetent hands. These is the worst set of mechanics, supervisors, and owners I have ever experienced. Do not take your vehicle here; their work is hazardous, their customer service insulting, and their reputation misleading.

While in Dothan, Alabama during the month of May 2016, my air conditioner stopped working in my 2008 GMC Envoy. I took it to Techway Automotive to have them repair it. They said that it needed a whole new air conditioning system, for around $1600. They have a 36 month or 36,000 mile warranty; however, that is not a nationwide warranty. I authorized the repairs and then my air conditioner went out again in August 2016. I took it to a repair shop in San Antonio, close to where I live. They said that the air conditioner would need repairs, again, to the tune of about $3000. The first repair last less than 4 months, and now, its just limping along. To add another $3000 to a 8 year old vehicle is something Im not inclined to do at this point. If you go to Techway, and you live out of the area, be sure to get some kind of warranty for their repairs. They told me that they would honor the repairs if I brought the vehicle back to them. They were nice enough and they consulted with the repair shop in San Antonio; however, that doesnt help the state of my air conditioner and my pocketbook. They should have at least told me that the warranty is only available with them. The repair shop in San Antonio also has a warranty, but its a nationwide warranty and not just local.

We were driving through town from Greenville, SC on our way to Destin, FL. We noticed issues with the VSA light coming on and the car did not seem to be accelerating properly. AAA sent us to Techway Automotive, the nearest auto shop, since the car was still driveable. Mind you, this is Friday before Memorial Day weekend at about 5:15pm. I called ahead and the shop was about to close, they were painting the floors over the long weekend, and therefore not doing any services. Since we were in a bind, they brought a tech outside to the front parking lot to run a scan to identify our problem. They fixed the issue and advised us which part would need replaced if we had any further issues. The whole thing took about ten minutes and they sent us on our way without charging us. They were a total class act and helped us out in a real bind. If we lived in the area, we would definitely come back and give them more business. Since we dont, Im hoping this review will send someone their way. We are really thankful for their willingness to help us out when they could have just as easily said "Sorry, we cant help you." There are still good people in the world and theres a bunch of them at Techway Automotive!

My truck broke down on the way back from Panama city with my 6 friends and I. I called Techway and Dustin called a tow truck to pick us all up and bring my truck over to them. When we got there we were offered coffee, water, and popcorn and greeted with a smile from every employee that we saw. When it was determined that my truck was not going to be ready that day we were offered transportation to a hotel but we needed to get home, so Bonnie (the sweetest lady in the world) called a car rental place to set up a car for us. Bonnie then went out of her way to go with us to the rental place and make sure that we were taken care of. We were treated like family from Bonnie. My truck was ready the next morning. The guys and Bonnie made sure we were taken care of far beyond just fixing my truck. The customer service and friendliness is like no other over at Techway. Thank you Dustin and thank you Bonnie for making sure us 7 college kids were taken care of in an unfamiliar place. I will never forget the kindness that was shown to us. On another note, I have been in many many different shops and this is most definitely the nicest, cleanest, and most professional.
