I just stopped by for the first (and last) time to order a burger with a side of broccoli to go. It was their lunch hour and I dont normally time restaurants but I was doing something on my phone that was time stamped: It took 25 minutes to get a burger to go. Other notes: They were out of buns so it was served on Texas Toast, which was soggy because they just laid the sandwich right in the pile of broccoli. The burger itself wasnt even round -- like they couldnt even make an effort. They were like, "Hey, this looks like the Island of Sicily! I must be done!" The blue cheese was brown, probably from sitting out, and the romaine lettuce alternated between a tough spine and a floppy, sloppy leaf. What a gross and wasted $10. I can still feel that greasy mess in my mouth. Gah.

The seating arrangements were quite mercenary, as there was no host/hostess, which resulted in two tables being seated before us despite that we arrived first (a third group of people gave us nasty looks when we asserted that we had arrived ahead of them). There was a line out the door and no place for people to wait, so they stood and held the door open, which let all the heat out of the restaurant (it was about 55ºF outside). Once we were seated the waitstaff were very efficient and friendly. They were really the only redeeming quality of the restaurant. The food was alright, as were the prices, but nothing special. Everything our party ordered sounded way better on the menu than it turned out in real life. We wouldve been better off at IHOP or Bob Evans.

Today was the first and last time to this place. First I ordered a drink, and it came out with white stuff floating on top of it. We arrived shortly after they opened 10:15, and ordered a breakfast panini, but was told they were out. Our coffee came out in styrofoam cups, because they were out of mugs. Let me remind you this was at 10:15... We waited forever for our food. I felt sorry for the waiter. All he did we apologize to everyone the entire time. Another couple just got up and left. The food was not good. I got the biscuits and gravy, with bacon. The gravy was tasteless, and the bacon was under cooked. This will be a one time gig for most of its customers.

No frills, diner breakfast. Its really all you want: I went with the apple French toast and scrambled eggs on the side. Apples were a bit grainy, toast and eggs were on point. Good, crappy diner coffee. My buddy got the "cheesy grits:" just plain grits draped with a couple shreds of cheddar. These days you gotta put a bit more into it! Stoked: Nice people, big portions and great crappy diner coffee. Bummed: Grits were "meh," grilled apples on my toast were mediocre. Tip: not busy at 9am on a weekday. Skip anything fruit, check out the posters on the wall: some good ones in there.

We had stopped by on a random Saturday morning; food was so good we decided to have Lexington Diner cater our wedding. From start to finish Ranada and her staff worked with us to give us a delicious, customized meal for our guests. My wife and I have always said the one thing that people remember about a wedding reception is the food. We had over 160 guests and all loved it. Ranada handles her business with a professional yet caring fashion that is unmatched. Could not have selected a better caterer and will recommend Lexington Diner to cater any event big or small!

Went there for late brunch on a Saturday around 1pm, and it was still packed with no immediate tables available. Didnt have to wait too long, though. The menu was much smaller and limited than whats posted online. French toast was good, chicken and waffles were okay, wife wasnt thrilled with her sandwich. Wait staff was fairly attentive for being so busy. My favorite part of the experience was their music selection, old school R&B / funk. So, the stomach may not have been as happy as my tappin toes. Will go back to try the burgers which looked much more appetizing.

Its not hard to see why Lexington Diner is the place everyone wants to be. The atmosphere of downtown lends itself to a very chic eatery with diner food elevated to a whole different level. Theres a bit of a southern edge to Chef Ranada Riley --Wests creations, from classic Kentucky Hot Browns to designer and make your mouth water burgers to sinful brunch entrees and other gormet dishes along the way. The staff goes out of their way to make your dining experience the best you can imagine. But hey, dont take it from me. Go check them..you will thank me.

The Lexington Diner is a gem of a restaurant in downtown. Unbelievable value for a restaurant owned and run by a chef whos been on tv several times. The food beyond lives up to the taste of what youd expect from a chef of Ranadas caliber. Ive never seen more artful french toast, dessert and breakfast in one. My personal favorite is the sunrise burrito, chorizo with some heat and so much flavor, craveable burrito for sure. Im always quickly helped by friendly staff. My stomach has always been very happy when Ive gone. Great job Ranada.

Lexington Diner is one of my favorite local restaurants! Seriously, its underrated as others have said. Its a bit small, but dont let that scare you away. Even during busy times, the wait isnt bad. The brunch menu changes every two weeks, so be sure to come back and see whats new! Regardless of what you get, its going to be delicious. Everything, from the Vegetarian Breakfast Bowl to the Church French Toast was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. I cant wait to see whats new in just a few weeks!

How am I the first person on google to rate this amazing place?! I have been here several times. The services is always great (very friendly) & the food is even better than that (if you can imagine)! Renada has brought such a beautiful vision to reality for people that really love food. You can tell that each dish is thoughtfully prepared to add a twist on favorites or create a new dish all together. It is a smaller venue downtown, so be prepared for street parking, but its totally worth it.

Its been a while since I was at the restaurant, the food had become a little tired for a while, but after a recent trip it seems that they are back to the old form. They have a new menu (for me) and the belgian waffle with sausage and caramelized onions was a welcome respite from the other boring takes on breakfast in Lexington. The biscuits and gravy and Lexington Breakfast (2 eggs, bacon, toast and a choice of grits or potatoes) are very dependable choices. Bravo!

Executive Chef, Ranada, her beautiful wife, and their staff serve up some of central kentuckys BEST cuisine. They are known for their amazing locally sourced produce, cheeses, and meats. Ive tried so many wonderful new things at her prompting... And I havent been disappointed even one time. NEVER. Give this place, one of the best that the Bluegrass has to offer, a try. I promise youll be glad you did!

We stopped in for breakfast as we were staying only the night prior at the Hilton. Its a short walk away. I had a Denver Omelet and the wife had the Buckeye Candy Waffle. The Omelet was made with grilled onions and peppers making it unique and tasty. She enjoyed her waffle and was glad she tried it but said she wouldnt order it a second time.
