If I could give this company less than one star I would. We had a pipe burst which flooded our kitchen, dining room and living room. I called Roto Rooter and they had good reviews so I thought all was well. Billy showed up and was very professional, found the leak and gave us a price for the repair of the pipe. He showed up promptly the next morning and fixed it with no hidden fees. The problem arose when John showed up with "restoration" the night before. He seemed professional as well. He told us that all the damages would be restored and that all repairs would be paid for through insurance however, he never provided us an estimate. He ripped up the carpet, left fans everywhere and showed up again the next morning. That morning they proceeded to rip up the laminate flooring, drill holes in the kitchen cabinets and leave even more fans that kept tripping the breaker. Everything was dry that next morning, but he proceeded to leave the fans for two more days. Meanwhile, we kept asking for a price and he never provided us with an itemized statement for services done. He kept saying he would give us an estimate and he kept asking how much the insurance had allowed and for what? So he could potentially jack up the price even more? Needless to say, he should have given us a price regardless of what the insurance allowed. After leaving a mess and giving us the run around he finally came back to the house to "measure" so that he could give an estimate. Then proceeded to try and get us to sign a "satisfaction" agreement which really stated that we agreed to pay the amount in full, whatever that amount was because we were never provided with that information. Anyway, hindsight is 20/20 and we should have stopped him in his tracks before he began to rip the house apart without ever giving us a price. Finally, the estimate he provided was over $2,000 for the mess he created. Hopefully no one else makes the same mistake we did. Way to go John for being so unprofessional.

I had an appointment for an independent plumber to be at my house at noon to replace my water heater. He hadnt showed by 12:30 and didnt answer my call or voice mail. At 12:50 I called Roto-Rooter, and Nick was at my house within 15 minutes. He assessed the situation and took extra effort to purchase the water heater brand I wanted (mine had lasted 16 years, so I wanted the same brand). It cost more, but he didnt not increase the estimate or final cost. Unfortunately, the new water heaters fittings did not align with the installed pipes. and the location of the T&P relief valve was different. This meant that the job required more pipe and fittings and a trip for parts. Instead of taking the easy route and using an obtrusive pipe at a 90-degree angle from the T&P valve, around the heater to the wall, he cut several lengths of pipe and used several elbows, so the pipe would lay close to the heater all the way around. The crew was courteous, extremely professional and diligent, and very knowledgeable. This was my first call to a plumber during nine years in my house. It started off badly, but thanks to Roto-Rooter, Nick and James, it ended perfectly. Im now thankful that the first plumber failed to appear (things happen for a reason, they say). Now I will always call Roto-Rooter if I need a plumber, and I am very glad to have one I can trust completely.

Imagine our frustation , after living in the same home for 47 years and then moving to the country to a brand new house, and at times having a sewer smell outside our house. It wasnt all the time, but the smell would be especially strong on days when i did laundry. Since we were on a septic tank we didnt know what to do. After talking with different plumbers, no one seemed to be able to help. Finally i said we have to do something. i opened the yellow pages to plumber and septic tanks specialist in Lexington-Georgetown area and I saw the ad for Roto Rooter. The girl that answered the phone was so nice & helpful and said we can send someone out who can see what the problem is and give you an estimate and we can come out today. So they did. It was a job that had to be done outdoors, so the weather played a big part in Roto Rooter being able to do the job. But they would always call us and say we havent forgotten you, we will be there as soon as the weather clears up. I so appreciated those phone calls, a reminder that they did care and would be there soon. The weather finally gave a few days break and they came out and within an hour, our problem was fixed. I have nothing put praise for Roto Roooter and their staff Betty Bennett

We have a kitchen sink that has leaked and backed up off and on for years. Last week the situation became hopeless and we had to call a professional. Chase from RotoRooter was at our house within a half hour and quickly began assessing the situation. Unfortunately, as soon as he began to work, our electricity went out on the whole block and he had to wait for over an hour before he could get started. He was so nice and patient. He even offered to run and grab me lunch since I couldnt cook. Once the electricity came back on and he began to work, it became obvious that the problem was much worse than first thought. He tried several techniques, soaking himself with grime and crud from the pipes in the process. Chase worked for several hours by himself before having to call in reinforcements, who also arrived quickly and got straight to work. The problem was finally solved and they even cleaned up after themselves. My only complaint is that the price was a little higher than quoted, but the issue was fixed and it was a bigger job than expected. They did a great job and we really appreciated it!

I went online to find a plumber in Lexington to fix a drippy faucet. I found a few, and the reviews were iffy. Who knew Roto-Rooter - a nationally known brand - was also a plumbing service. I just always associated it with outdoor drain issues. I called them, and to my pleasant surprise, they could send someone out THAT DAY! That was the first star....and the others come from a courteous pair of guys, who not only fixed my dripping faucet, but asked if there was anything else they could help with while they were there. I had them look at a refrigerator whose ice/water had been turned off due to a leak that had damaged the floor below it, and stained the ceiling in the basement. They were able to pinpoint the problem (something a plumber before them had not been able to do). They attempted to fix it, but when they realized it was really a part of the fridge that needed to be fixed, they advised me they could not continue, and I should call an appliance repair person. For all of this - they charged me NOTHING. I paid for the drippy faucet repair only. I appreciate that SOOOOO much!

Our kitchen sink was not draining and I spent the weekend, and then into Monday trying to fix the problem. I made a request for help via Roto-Rooters convenient website and within an hour someone from their dispatch team had called me to indicate that Justin would be at our house within 30 minutes! When he arrived I showed him the sink and explained everything I had attempted to do to resolve the problem. After about 20 minutes with me and after trying to use his equipment to remove the stoppage he indicated to me that he would be calling in Dale and Brian who could clean out the wickedest drains, including this one! Justin was apologetic about being unable to perform the fix and I assured him that I appreciated his honesty and efforts. When Brian and Dale arrived they had already been given details on our problem and began working. It turns out that the stoppage was some 50 feet away from my sink drain! I would have never fixed this without their help. Im so grateful for Roto-Rooter!
