Ours is a 100+ year old house with a prominent roof, so we wanted to keep it appropriate to the architecture and use the best materials we could find and afford (Grand Manor shingles, copper, membranes, etc.. We contacted 4 companies that we thought could handle the job. One discussed the job, but never got back to us with a bid. The second bid $5,000 more than HKC. And the third was so cavalier about the estimate that we decided on HKC. With the exception of a minor glitch in which the copper was not ordered in time to start the project on the day expected, our experience was excellent. The salesman was knowledgeable about his products, patient about our process of selecting exactly what we wanted and reasonable in his recommendations. The crew that did the work were friendly and professional. They were respectful of us and our property as the went about the job. They seemed careful about what they were doing and used the best available materials at every turn. The project took longer than expected, and there was no indication of workmen being hurried to stay on schedule. We were pleased with the final product. We got exactly what we expected with no surprises or disappointments. Finally, we were impressed with the integrity of the staff and the company as a whole. We will recommend HKC to our friends.

This was our first time dealing with a roofing company so, needless to say we were a little lost. We got estimates from two other companies. The other companies were over selling their upgrades and were hard to pin down an actual estimate. When I mentioned working with our insurance company they were reluctant to do so. Then came HKC. Blaine was very helpful and stayed in constant contact throughout the process. It was a huge relief when Blaine sat down with us and explained the process of the roof replacement and working with the insurance company . HKC will work in the parameters of your insurance. They had a representative present when the insurance rep. came to our house to evaluate the damage. They stay with you throughout the claims process and the job. The pricing is fair and reasonable. They wont try to sell you unnecessary upgrades. They are very trust worthy! The work was exceptional. Our roof looks great! HKC also repaired some siding above our garage and did a wonderful job. We couldnt be happier with the results. I would definitely recommend HKC and advise all to ask for Blaine.

My wife and I recently bought our first home; a serious fixer upper in Louisville that was in dire need of a new roof. When we moved in, it was the first thing that we did, and HKC got it done quickly and did it well. My wife was really stressed out about putting an offer in on a house that needed a new roof badly, but we consulted with HKC and got an estimate and found out that it wouldnt be that much of an interference in our lives. The quote we got was great, and we made the decision to choose materials that would be more aesthetically pleasing than the previous dingy roof. When all was said and done, it really gave our new home a face lift. This was a slight consolation to the expense of having to put a roof on our brand new house, but thanks to a detailed inspection of the roof, we were able to get the seller to chip in some extra funds to pay for most of it. HKCs quote was reasonable, and there were no changes in cost before completion. They were professional, stayed on the discussed timeline, and did a really great job. Im pleased that we went with them.

After hail damage two years ago, we got three estimates to reshingle our roof. One estimate was considerably higher and HKC was comparable to the third estimate. We were very pleased with our decision to go with HKC. RIght from the beginning they were very professional, on time, courteous, and we were impressed by how they layed the shingles without the use of a nail gun. They also did a great job cleaning everything up after they finished. We recently discovered water damage to a bedroom ceiling and immediately called HKC for repair. They came over and reworked that part of the roof, but that didnt fix the problem. We called a second time, and David Cooper, Production Manager, came over to check out the problem. After going into our attic and up on the roof, he discovered that the problem was not with the roof, but rather the sealant had failed in the fiber cement board. He not only took photos and explained everything in detail, including future maintenance, but also took it upon himself to seal these areas for us. Thank you David.

We have hired HKC twice in the last couple of years. We met Ed Stinson at the Cincinnati Home Show at just the right time - we needed a new roof on our house. Ed explained all the options and provided enough info for us to feel like we were making an informed decision about the best roofing system for our home. Price was fair, installation was excellent, and the house looks better than ever! More recently, we had a tree fall against the side of the house and damage the siding. Again, Ed came through with great service. The color match, installation, and quality of work were excellent, done in a timely manner, and the price was fair (right on track with our insurance estimate - how often can you say that??). It sounds funny, but I hope I dont need to call these guys again anytime soon, but if the need arises, I will definitely call HKC. We hope you do as well!

I recently Purchased a home as an investment in Louisville and have been renovating it for the last few months. I am not a roofer however because its too specialized and needs to be done just right. I checked around and heard good things about HKC Roofing & Construction, so I gave them a call. Long story short, they were extremely professional, came in under budget and did a fantastic job! In fact, I might have them come down to Atlanta and fix a few other properties I have there because they were that good. Professional from start to finish, I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs an excellent roofer using skilled craftsmen. By the way, their price was not the lowest but it certainly wasnt the highest either, and like I said they came in just under budget, which was fantastic. (How often does that happen?!) Highly recommended!

HKC was one of multiple companies that I received quotes from while searching for a reputable roofing company. They were very polite, thorough and professional. I decide to go with HKC over other companies because of their presentation. The fact that the job was going to be done within a timely manner, with all the right materials and by a quality crew was paramount. When the job was complete, I noted several issues that I brought to HKCs attention. At the end of the day, they corrected all issues that I had in a prompt and courteous manner. I would recommend HKC to anyone. They proved to me that they are professional and stand behind their work and their word.
