In response to Maddy. Im sure you are either friends with Tiffany or related and thats fine. I can respect you defending someone you care about. Having said that, the fact that a month after she cut my hair, I am still trying to grow it out! My hair grows unbelievably fast and needs to be cut every three weeks! It is not my fault that the salon she works for doesnt know how to teach their stylists and has no comprehension of customer service! If the owner of the salon had contacted me this review would not have ever been written! Let me explain to you how this should have gone down; First, the owner should have called me to apologize, then she should have offered to look at it and possibly fix it, Then Tiffany would have had a learning experience. Next, one my hair grew out A LOT she should have offered me a free haircut for my inconvenience. NONE of these things happened! It is not the customers job to teach a stylist how to cut hair. As far a as "Sharing my wisdom" I brought a photo. I explained to her what I liked and what I did not like. I told her specifically that LONGER was BETTER and I would come back in three weeks and be her most loyal customer! Other than taking her scissors and doing the haircut I cant really see what "wisdom" I left out! The fact that Tiffany called me on the phone to confront me is another mistake in customer service! I should not have to defend myself. I wasnt the one who did anything wrong! I spent 30 dollars on a haircut and gave her a 5 dollar tip. Contacted the owner. I followed all the proper procedure in terms of correcting this! I just spent 50 dollars at Jerry Heston and the hairstylist couldnt even cut the hair across my occipital bone because its STILL SO SHORT! Were going on 5 weeks...5 WEEKS! Now my best advice is to let this end here and now. I will not be slandered on here. If I continue to see my name on here I am going to be forced to contact the owner in person and possibly a lawyer. I have photographs of my hair. I do not want to go this route but will if I am forced to. Tiffany, everyone makes mistakes, learn from them and move on. If youre unhappy with the review I wrote talk to your boss. It was her mishandling of this situation that forced me to do so.

First off I have been going to Tiffany for the past four years since she got started. When I first came to her my hair was fried and soo damaged. Tiffany immediately got my hair back to being healthy and beautiful in no time! She is an amazing stylist and I refuse to let anyone touch my hair but her! I have followed her to every salon she has worked at and will continue to be a loyal client of hers. Tiffany not only is an amazing stylist but she truly truly cares about each of her clients. She had only been doing my hair a few months when I first started going to her, when my father unexpectedly past away. Tiffany came to the funeral and stood by my side the whole day and continued thereafter. She is very attuned to her clients wants and needs and makes certain that she gives them exactly what they want and if its not she wont stop until it is exactly what they want and her clients are happy. She strives extremely hard to make sure her clients are always happy and have a wonderful experience and service. Tiffany goes above and beyond for each of her clients to meet their wants and needs. Ive never met a more caring and EXTREMELY TALENTED stylist in my life. Also her prices are amazing for what an outstanding job she does. She is always wanting to better herself as far as furthing her education to stay on top of the newest and latest hair styles.

My experience with Shear Artistry was good in general. However, I was hoping for better due to their reputation and what I had read online. The customer service was good and my stylist (which I would prefer to keep unknown) was a nice person. We talked about the haircut and color; it was just a simple layered haircut, conditioning treatment and an all over color. Everything seems fine, until we got to the haircut. The stylist cutting technique was questionable, it took what felt like a 10 minutes haircut, there was no cross checking and after the stylist curled my hair, there was still a good amount of about 2 inches longer strands that wasnt cut. That was easy fix so I didnt mind. My hair looked great when I left and I was excited to come back. Now, heres the problem; After I washed my hair, the haircut were just very unevenly choppy. I couldnt straighten my hair, the lines were very noticeable and bulky. In addition, that piece of longer strands I pointed out, some where still there. I tried to get it fix at another salon but the stylist told me that the only solution was to cut the length shorter and blend it from there. I couldnt do it...and I have to curl my hair everyday or put it in a ponytail. Now Im just disappointed. I wanted to come back but Im afraid to do so.

I just began going to Shear Artistry this past year, and I truly feel like I have been missing out! I have never been to a more friendly and down to earth salon and all of their employees go above and beyond to make sure you have the best experience possible. I found Shear Artistry because my stylist, Apryl, had just moved from a different salon in town. I have been going to Apryl for a few years now and I have NEVER been disappointed! Before meeting Apryl, my hair had always been "blah" and to be honest I wasnt sure there was much hope but Apryl completely changed that around. She has amazing style and I would not trust anyone else when it comes to my hair (Id follow her across the country if I had to!!). I cant begin to tell you how many compliments I have gotten on my cut and style, and how many people ask me who my stylist is. I have also recommended a few out of town friends to Apryl and all of them had nothing but great things to say and of course their hair looked fabulous :) Apryl is not only a great hair stylist but a good, honest person as well. Her prices are more than fair, and she will take great leaps to make sure you are 100% happy. I always look forward to my appointments with her!

WARNING BEWARE: I went to the Shear Artistry Salon yesterday afternoon, Nov. 8th, 2012, for a simple eye-brow waxing/shape up. The receptionist was kind and greeted me and took me to the back room for my waxing. I clearly and specifically told her, " I would simply like a shape up, I dont want them too thin." and I repeated " I DONT want them too thin." of course, when she finally finishes and hands me the mirror I look like E.T. she COMPLETELY disregarded what I had said and basically took off chunks of my eyebrows. Now, Im stuck with this thin strand of eyebrow that I have to pass a eyebrow pencil over and cover with powder in an attempt to make it look relatively normal. She DESTROYED my eyebrows. Seriously, I had relatively thick eyebrows and she made me look surprised/angry the way she over arched them. Absolutely, TERRIBLE waxing job. Please ladies, heed my warning I have never gone to them prior to this experience and I shall NEVER get my eyebrows waxed there EVER again. Save your eyebrows, DONT GO THERE TO GET YOUR EYEBROWS WAXED!!! P.S. she saw my disappointment and offered the kindest advice, " They grow back!" -____- Thank you for your time.
