Women - this is the place to take your car! As a women going in for car service or repairs, Ive been to my fair share of businesses where the men either speak down to me or are clearly frustrated when I ask them to explain the issue with my car and how they are going to fix it (as if asking for an explanation of what Im paying $300 for is unreasonable?!) or when they try to push me into buying things that my car does not need. I have never had that experience at Turning Wrenches. In fact, I have had the exact opposite experience. My husband and I have been loyal customers for several years. At Turning Wrenches they clearly take pride in doing a job well done. Steve will take time to answer my questions with professionalism and never speaks any different to me than the male customers. They provide recommendations of what issues should be taken care of now and what could be put off, so as to be considerate of your finances, allowing you to be aware of more substantial car service needs that are coming down the road. I have never had a product pushed on me and truly trust the advice Ive received, as Ive never been led astray. My husband and I both absolutely love this shop and wouldnt take our cars any place else.

This has to be the best shop in town, I have a 3rd gen T4R and I only want the best working on it. Levi clearly knows Toyota better than most, he was exact in the diagnosis, quote was spot on and the repair seems perfect. Steve runs the shop, and you cant get a better service manager than him. He knows these cars inside and out which makes explaining the issues and repair process so much better, you dont have some guy running back and forth asking questions to a busy and soon to be frustrated mechanic. Levi came in and introduced himself when I picked up the car and thanked me for coming in, a mechanic speaking to a lowly customer is almost unheard of... this really impressed me. At the end of the day I dont think another shop is doing it as well as these guys, a true diamond in the rough. Good prices, clean facility with a nice bathroom and waiting area, professional employees and solid work... I will never go anywhere else. Thanks Steve and Levi

I chose these guys because of the great reviews by other Google users. They had the best reviews I could find and was not disappointed. We agreed on a price, a course of action, and drop off time on Friday which was set for Monday morning. I dropped my car off and they called on Monday morning without assuming anything and asked for permission to proceed. The work was completed promptly and I was called to come pick up my car. When I came for pick up the results were reviewed in depth along with the work order. They made sure I knew exactly what work was performed and how much it cost. Only after I understood did they ask for payment. I have heard horror stories about mechanics performing unnecessary or unrequested work often times without permission. This is not that type of garage. I will return the next time I have issues with my car and would highly recommend based on the services I received.

What a shop! Talented techs and a great service manager. TR is the only place I will take my cars and I would (and do frequently) reccomend them to all of my friends. I have had two cars dragged into TR for various reasons. Steve the service manager has always been quick to call back with frequent updates. Very detailed and customer service oriented. I had an engine blow up in one car and Steve was calling me back within 30 minutes with an explanation of what had happened and why. I liked the fact that they knew why, you often dont get those details. He also had three quotes for new engines if I chose to go that route. The engine replacement didnt make sense for me, but what great service. Also dragged my daughters car there fearing the worst after a leak and overheat. It turned out to be a minor issue and the car was ready within a couple of hours. We were all very pleased. Love this place!

In from out of town and needed my ML320 worked on. From the start everyone was great. They diagnosed the issue (rear wheel bearing), gave me my options in under 15 minutes. They all had other stuff going on but took the time away to get me an answer quickly. Honest and open with the process the whole time and articulated everything. So impressed from start to finish. Fair price and parts were at or cheaper than I found looking around the internet. Also, definitely not just a benz place, while that seemed like a majority of the repairs being done they were working on everything. If I didnt live 500 miles away this would be my shop. Thanks guys!

I began going to Turning Wrenches when it had the original ownership and always received excellent and fair service. I never felt like they were out to get my money and were always willing to try to the cheaper route first and give me an honest assessment of what needs fixed now and what can wait. Now that the original owner/mechanic moved away and sold it to the current ownership I still receive the excellent and fair quality of service that made me stay going to Turning Wrenches in the first place. If youre looking to take your vehicle in to get fixed I cant think of a better place in Louisville. Thanks for your excellent service!

Dropped my car off late monday night, and I received a call early Tuesday morning detailing my engine troubles and an estimate for repair that was nearly $200 cheaper than Goodyear where i received my initial estimate. Was told my car would be ready the next day, and sure enough i got a call early Wednesday morning to come pick up my car. Steve was easy to contact, and explained clearly what was happening with my car every step of the way. This is as honest and knowledgeable of a shop as they come, they were very timely with my repair, and I will absolutely be returning if/when the need arises.

I have been searching for experienced mechanics, who take their time and evaluate for a solution correctly. Finally, I found it, at Turning Wrenches. Levi, worked on one of my vehicles and I could easily detect that there was no task on my vehicle that he could not resolve to the manufacturer approved repair standards. I am very critical about modern day workmanship practices. These individuals at this operation, are one of the VERY few that still take pride, skill, and experience seriously. Thank you!

took a 92 Mercedes SL500 with only 29,000 miles on it to have a quirky electrical issue repaired. Steve did a great job staying in contact with me regarding the diagnosis and told me upfront everything he was doing to figure out the problem and how much it would cost. they gave me a fair quote and had it all fixed and running like new in no time. excellent communication, service and value. i will definitely be bringing any future cars with issues here! Thanks again Steve and Levi! great job!

Took my car in to get vacuum leak fixed. Told me they found the problem. Said it was ignition coil and spark plugs. Called me 3 hours later and said that they couldnt fix the problem after Doing the repair. They said that the computer codes they were getting were wrong and that I needed a new ecu. So they didnt fix the problem, charged me $361, then refered me to mazda. These dudes dont know what they are doing, take your car elsewhere. changing all ochanging the spark plug and ignition coil
