I normally service my car with Tires Plus in Elizabethtown, KY and have always had good service. A tire losing air on my way to work caused me to visit this store to get a repair. I called in at 7:30am and spoke with Mike who told me to bring it in and they could have it looked at. If it was only a repair then he could have it ready in an hour. I arrived at 8:05am...and left at 11:30am..for a nail to be removed and repaired, and rotation. While I was in the lobby, I was disturbed by several things: 1) Absolutely no sense of urgency. I confirmed when I arrived how long it should take. Mike told me there were two people in front of me and it would be an hour. Okay, thats what I was expecting based on our phone conversation. I counted 4 times one of the techs came in to refill his coffee mug and each tech came in at least once to get coffee. I am in no way against having a cup of coffee, I do every morning. But after each tech filled their mug, they proceeded to stand in the lobby and watch T.V. First the morning news, then Rachel Ray, then a judge show. 2) No communication- As I patiently waited for my car to be serviced, the guys at the counter and the guys working in the shop had no communication with each other to know what was going on. My car sat in the same parking space I left it in for 2 hours. Several times the man at the counter (Steve) would walk out to the shop, walk back in to ask what they were doing to my car, walk back out to the shop, come back in and not tell me anything. A couple minutes later the whole team was in the lobby drinking coffee and eating bagels. At least 5 guys were standing in there; while my car still rested in the parking space I parked it and the tire noticeably losing air. I asked Mike when my car was going to be worked on and he said "Its actually coming in now". One of the techs pulled my car in the garage; everyone finished their coffee and bagels and walked back out to the shop. 3)Not customer focused- After waiting another 45 minutes I asked Steve if he could tell me how much longer I could expect to wait for my car. He asked my last name, what they were doing to my car, and looked up something on his computer. After I answered him, he walked out to the shop only to come back in and tell me it would be soon; then tried to sell me on four services they recommended. Several customers came in while I waited for simple service such as: check oil level, test battery, get a price for tires, and check a tire that is losing air that they repaired yesterday. They were told they could have them taken care of in about 10 minutes; of which each waited in the lobby for at least 15 minutes with no follow up from who talked to them when they came in. Overall, this is probably the worst service I have received at any maintenance shop I have been to. If you have to take your vehicle somewhere for service, I would recommend you drive a few more miles to another shop.

I started going to Michel Tires back in 2002. Back then they had great managers, not the same two liars they have now. Back then Michel Tires of St. Matthews was a great place. Now they are a rip off. Last year they kept saying my "timing belt" was messed up. Yet they didnt catch any of the problems my engine block was having. Lucky for me, my cousin owns a garage and they caught the actual problem. Last oil change they said my "power steering pump" needed replace. Thats over $400 worth of work. My cousin took a look and it was simply the power steering switch, which is $35. $400 and $35 are two very different prices. I may report them to the BBB. I wonder how many old people they steal from?

These guys are CROOKS. Every time I have been there for a regular inspection they tell me that I need to replace two or more tires. (And I go regularly) Ive gotten suspicious and took my car for a second opinion at Sears, who didnt find anything more than the slight leak in one tire that I had originally brought it in for. I have NOT been happy with their road hazard warranty fulfillment, and am quitting these guys for good. Also... when I went in the other day around 2 it took them thirteen minutes to greet me and almost twenty to actually help me... despite the fact that there were three guys watching some judge show on the television. Waste of time.

If I broke down one block away from Michel Tires and needed a new set of tires I would rather push my car across the state than have another experience with this company. I have had to go back at least 4 times to get my tires corrected, the past two times it was simple mistakes that were their fault. The last time I went, I had to take my flat tire off my car (because my spare was also flat), brought it in separately, they "fixed" it under warranty, when I got back to my car to put it on they never even pumped it up after the patch! Absolutely the worst, I will tell everyone until the day I die to never go to Michel Tires Plus.

Very happy with my experience at the chenoweth Michael Tires Plus. After I had a flat tire, I had my car towed there, and they immediately called me and gave me the run down of what they were going to be doing. They were able to match my rear tires, but the tires had to be transferred. The transfer was done in less than 24 hrs and I was able to drive away happy and without much loss of time coordinating rides to work. They offered 6 month interest free financing which also helped pay for what could have been a bank buster at the time. Thank you guys. Seriously.

For over twenty years Michel Tires has supplied tires and mechanical services for my 3 cars and friends cars to whom I have recommended them. I was in the auto industry for a number of years and understand cars. In all my hours of sitting in Michels waiting room I have never once overheard the staff lie to a customer or use scare tactics. Im sure they make mistakes, and that some people have hard feelings. But as long as a young man with the integrity of Jason Cross is managing the store, Ill still be going and sending friends.

Needed an alignment before getting some new tires. Stopped in here and they had me in and out in no time. The difference in my vehicles driving and handling was amazing after the work. Seem to be very honest and trustworthy for automotive repairs, and gave a year warranty on their work. I do wish I had received a printout for reference for the readings of the starting point and corrections.

When I make an appointment it means an appointment. I had an appointment this morning at 8:00AM arriving at 7:45. I did not receive service until 9:45AM meaning a two hour wait to get out the door. And, this was for an oil change and tire rotation. The sales assistant gave me some kind of BS excuse with an appointment is not a firm time. Thats it for me.
