Very confused. For an organization thats supposed to be all about logistics, USPS is extremely illogical. I left a note on the front door to leave the package on the porch. Instead, I get a note saying I have to pick up the package at the physical location. You wouldnt think this would be a problem, but when you have a job, its an extreme inconvenience. Retail hours are 9-4. Am I supposed to leave work midday to come pick up a package I told them to leave? Am I supposed to go in 2 hours late and pick it up as soon as they open? UPS and FedEx always attempt to deliver the following day, and leave a note on your door that you sign, giving them permission to leave the package. Why cant USPS do that? Instead, they expect people to come in between 9-4 at some point, ignoring that there are still some people who hold a job and pay taxes to pay their wages. Just another example of the private sector being not only more affordable from a pricing perspective, but also from a service point of view.

Put a hold on my mail for vacation, both at the office and with the mail carrier. Told them to deliver all mail the following Monday after return from vacation. We got home on Sunday to a mailbox FULL of mail. All the post master did was apologize and offered to speak with carrier about paying more attention to these cards and dates. Not the first problem I have had out of this post office.

Worst post office. The lady that delivers packages to my home is always late and THROWS the packages on my porch.
