So torn. On the one hand, the guy who came by afterwards and repaired some of the minor damage was great. On the other hand, the moving experience itself was horrible. I had a 3 bed 1 bath house moving to a 3 bed 2 bath house. I had 2 bedroom sets, an office, a full living room, 15 boxes, 10 bags, and 3 appliances to move. The distance between locations was under 2 miles. We were quoted 4-5hrs. The last moving company I hired did a move from baton rouge to Denham with the same contents in under 4hrs with travel time. The two men that turned up dragged their feet every opportunity they could. They kept closing the truck wanting to move to the 2nd house when the 1st house still had contents to be moved. They kept taking on-the-clock breaks. They kept losing hardware for disassembled furniture. I literally had to keep stating "everything but the fridge and oven needs to be on the truck" but they still failed to load up all of the soft materials, appliances, etc, on the first trip. They packed so stupidly they had to make 2 trips. On the first trip, to the new location, they left the same time as me and somehow took an additional 15 minutes driving the 1 mile to the new house. They forgot the bed hardware at the old house. After unloading the truck, I had to send they put the furniture where I asked them to put it and not just drop it in the center of the room. I then had to bribe them to make a 2nd trip to retrieve the 10 bags, 2 missed appliances, and a bunch of other small items. Again, I had to keep reminding them Im paying for their time and I needed everything moved, everything. They kept closing the truck, again. They kept walking past items, stating rooms were empty when plastic crates and PCs were sitting in the middle of the floor. 6hrs after the move started, I finally managed to get nearly everything into the new house. Of course, we went back and retrieved stuff like the dryer vent line, the microwave, two more boxes, and two baskets with electronics that were missed on both the first and second trip. The manager who turned up 3 days after the move apologized for the men, and repaired some of the damages. He cut a check for $165 to offset damages to a coffee table that looked like the guys used as a dance floor. Today, I finally had a reason to start looking at hanging my 55" 4k Samsung TV. To my horror, I just found not one, but 3 decent scratches on the glass. Heres hoping 2 men and a truck can cover those damages too.u Edit: damage guy hasnt returned 5 calls and check for damages never arrived.

The Baton Rouge office of Two men and a Truck is a complete mess. Their drivers were inexperienced and did not make the day of the move easy. The way they communicated and their lack of preparedness only increased the worry and stress associated with moving. They were supposed to box/pack my house for me, but showed with no cushion/bubble wrap and none of the hanging clothes boxes I requested. They literally threw and crushed my things into boxes and I ended up packing my entire kitchen because they completely underestimated the time it would take to pack. There seemed to be no order to how they packed the truck. I had the driver actually tell me that he was going to have to leave my things behind because there wasnt room on the truck - the same truck size that moved my exact items 8 months earlier and had extra space at the back end. I pushed back and they then seemed bothered and began haphazardly throwing my additional items in the truck. Of course a number of things unnecessarily got broken even after I requested that they be treated with extra care. At my new home, the unloading of unique/heavy items was embarrassing for a moving company. Since replacing the broken items, I have had to repeatedly contact the Baton Rouge office to try to get reimbursed for the damages despite that I also bought extra insurance through them for the move. This office is not doing any favors for the Two Men and a Truck brand, with which I have had previously positive experiences moving with their Birmingham office. What a complete failure. I cannot recommend this company. Moving is already stressful enough without having to add all of this extra hassle. Do yourself and favor and pack your valuables yourself.

I am writing today to personally thank Two Men and a Truck for the outstanding level of customer service that I witnessed this weekend. My parents’ house was flooded with 10 inches of water during the flood of August 2016. A contractor was hired and gave short notice that the house needed to be packed up and moved in the next 24 hours. My parents are in their late 60’s and were not up the task after the emotional breakdown of losing many of their personal possessions and facing the fact that their house had to literally be rebuilt. In a panic I called Two Men and a Truck to ask for not only help but guidance and advice during this time of need. With one call, I learned that 1-finding a storage unit in the immediate area was going to be next to impossible, 2-TMAAT had boxes available for packing and 3-I would receive a call back in the next 30 min to see if any personnel were available to help with the packing. Please realize that with over 50,000 folks having their homes destroyed, I was fairly certain I should feel lucky just to have found some boxes. Their level of knowledge is a testament to how many folks they were helping besides myself. To my amazement, within 2 hours of calling, TMAAT had 3 gents at my parent’s house and had the entire 2500 sq foot house packed up in 3 hours. They moved all of the boxes to the boat shed so that work on the house could begin the next day on schedule. I was blown away!! Eric Soileau

My first experience with Two Men and Truck in 2015 was excellent - courteous, efficient and enjoyed the whole moving process. But just used their services again now (June 2016) and was a horrible experience - movers were slow, broke furniture (which I found out after they left), left trash around house and the manager who I contacted mid-way though the move since movers were so slow was not trustworthy - he offered to help move last bit of furniture which his movers had left and had not moved but then when asked if he was planning to do that he said well I dont want to make it seem like we did anything wrong and if the owner figured out I was doing this he would want to know why. Movers themselves were not professional - scratch and destroyed a floor at apartment I was moving out of and used foul and inappropriate language. In the end I still had considerable amount to move on my own (did not want to pay extra to have them move it for me), had to clean up their trash and also have to repair scuffed wall and tell apartment to contact them to replace flooring. I would not use them again.

Buyer BEWARE! First let me say I have moved several times and used Two men and a Truck in two different states without great customer service. UNTIL I used Two Men and A Truck with the Manager Trent. First let me say Buyer Beware on your quote, second please request that you dont get Ryan. He is the most unprofessional boy not man I have ever encountered. First, he is extremely lazy and the other young man was excellent. We found ourselves both looking for Ryan, he was either in the bathroom or on the phone running up your precious hours. It was litterally 1 man and a Truck. Needless to say, 8 hours later I found myself in an argument with Ryan about his services. The manager Trent was not helpful at all and did not care that his workers did not have tools to take down the beds in my house , nor could they put them back together. This was a total waste of money! Please save yourself the hassle and peace!! Do not do business with this sham of a company and its spineless manager. It will save you money in your pocket if you just stay away..
